Fantastic Funnymoon

How desperately dull my dreary life.
I wonder will I ever woo a wife.
Working wearily the whole day,
how can I hope to find a way?

I'll book a break before long.
Learn to lilt a lovely song.
Dedicate myself to dancing.
Soon, she'll come along.

I'll sweetly sweep her off her feet.
Make out we were meant to meet.
Kneel upon one knee and say.
Honey, how about our happy day?

We'll wed on Wednesday after next.
I'll book a boarding that's the best.
We'll sail the seas and spend our savings
financing a funnymoon forming babies.

The Moon Looked Like a Cat Burglar

The moon looked like a cat burglar that crisp November night;
clear skies but for one dark band splashed across his sight.
His guise arcane and sinister, and try hard as I might,
I couldn't help but wonder who he'd prey upon with spite.

An air of eerie stillness fell, as he cast cool silver light,
foretelling of his felony, contriving someone's cruel plight.
His luminance trespassed the land as he rose to his full height;
a meticulous surveillance to plan his act of sleight.

Disquieted I crept inside, closed the door, pulled curtains tight,
still his glow transuded every room setting all my fears alight.
Adrenalin took over, but far too scared to fight,
I sheltered 'neath the duvet to wait for morning bright.

Next morn I tiptoed down the stairs, fists clenched, my knuckles white,
but everything was in its place, the moon had taken flight.
I don't know why he visited, maybe just to be polite,
but I had uneasy feelings he'd return at next twilight.

Oh, Little Moth

Oh, little moth, your primordial flight.
has brought you to my well lite home tonight.
Lepidopteron, master of the night,
fly quickly to the light of my kitchen,'
sit on my table, dry and preen your wings.
Your vision moth, of this nocturnal moon,
that sits upon my kitchen table bright,
leaves in question lepidopteron sight.
As you can see, this moon was made for me,
so fly up to my iridescent light.
I must admit, your flight is quite a sight,
turning, twisting fluttering as you fly.
Up to the moon in my clean ceiling tall,
or in the doorway of my well lighted hall.
Oh, must you leave? Our visit was too short!
You must forgive, my hospitality,
as I swat you off of my ceiling clean
with only this treated papyrus leave.
Oh, Lepidopteron
what is this black mush you leave,
upon my well lite clean ceiling?
Next time mind your manners!

Oh, little fly........

A Bad Moon

Once again the moon is full
The hoot of an owl I hear
Beware tonight
I may you bite
As a wolf I must appear

Once again the moon is full
A hunger begins to gnaw
Something to go
Is far too slow
Faster will be if it's raw

Once again the moon is full
A victim I quickly find
Fearful is not
Giggles a lot
Others are also unkind

Once again the moon is full
Beneath it I stand alone
Something is wrong
My ears are long
A fluffy tail I have grown

Once again the moon is full
In a mirror now I stare
How can it be?
No wolf I see
Only an big funny hare

Once again the moon is full
In shadows I hide away
For dawn I wait
Accept my fate
I’m having a bad hare day

The Moon So High

The moon so bright,
the moon so high,
up, up in the sky,
to the moon I will fly,
if I don't make it,
I will just die.

They landed there in Sixty-nine,
        for the glory,
it should have been mine,
I just didn't know
how to get there,
so I gues, I'll have to stay here.

But the moon is so
pretty to look at,
and I'm glad we were
the first to land there,
It probley was,
a good thing, I stayed here.
