Thin Ice
The mesmerizing effect of rippling rings
Of freestanding water’s tantalizing schemes;
As I peer down at the semblance peering up at me,
Without fear, on the thin ice, I am treading.
My mind is like a sieve that’s never static;
It’s seeing me for the first time, and it’s hypnotic.
I want answers but only feel frustration
Because I’m here and not the apparition,
Frozen in time, waiting
For the ice to stop cracking.

Filled us with your miracles
My Father permits to see
Depth of the sea kept within me
Looked far ahead
Carefully wiped each tear that was shed
Resumed by peace
Kept far beneath
World you closely inspect
Your tears we respect
Your eagle did soar
Your lion has roared
Our King is eternal
Conquored the infernal
Seeing where your beauty does lie
Blessed the color of our sky
Hearts found
God blessings all around
Your hands do lift
Far beyond the cliff
Give them a nudge
Do not allow them to judge
Freestanding
Through understanding
God spirits do feel
Our Lord love is real
Beyond the world rage
We are brave
Calmed our storms
Before they were formed
Sensitive to the touch
Our hearts care that much
Immense love was felt
We must be kind even to ourself

Time passes tick tock tick tock,
Second by second,
Hour by hour,
Watching the hands go round,
A white face with numerals,
It's what tells you the time,
Pendulum swinging back and forth,
It could put you in a trance,
Ornate or plain they all tell the time,
Large or small, freestanding or wall,
Time just carrys on,
Tick tock tick tock

i present myself to you as a gift
although one to be shared
you may not own me for i grow
wild
i am as rare as i am complex
i am an enigma
you pursue me with passion
touching with warmth
then gently lay me in an oasis
wonderfully cool and fresh
i flourish with your care
and appear to grow toward you
around you
don't be frightened, i am simply
dancing to your smile
i fear your strength, hold me
gently, yet firmly
my stem is strong, flexible, allowing
freestanding motion
hold me close to you and breathe
be mindful of the moments we share
i will fill you with scents
shifting daily with air and fire
the consistency of your nourishment
will allow me to thrive
with you

From day one to date
You fought endless fights
To give me the gift of life
You always said
My child I don’t want you to suffer
Because one day I’ll depart the earth
I want you to continue without me
Be a responsible child and freestanding
That will make me enjoy my last gift
A fancy sendoff will not save my life
Knowing that you are capable
Might increase my days under the sun
Your words still haunts me to this day
Every time they cross my mind
I’m energized to do well
I hope that my success
Reveals my sincere gratitude
And present to you, your last gift

An imaged stone
With hidden flaws
Hairline cracks
O crackerjack
Dimly lit monument
In its place
Ceraceously covered
Comfortable til proved
Masked til moved
Into the sunlight
In the round
Tried by fire
The heat of day
Melts away
The priceless statue
Subjectively devoid
Alone freestanding
To weather rains
Fears and pains
Exposing imperfections
