Thin Ice
The mesmerizing effect of rippling rings
Of freestanding water’s tantalizing schemes;
As I peer down at the semblance peering up at me,
Without fear, on the thin ice, I’m treading.
My mind is a sieve that’s never static
It’s seeing me for the first time, and it’s hypnotic.
I want answers, and it’s frustration
Because I’m here and not the apparition,
Frozen in time, waiting
For the ice to stop cracking!
