great blue heron stood
in flint river statuesque....
children hooped, threw rocks
Ground seepage
A small start mere drainage
Grows to a mighty river rushing
Flowing some three-hundred-fourty-four miles a rushing
From Atlanta to the Gulf beauty accenting
Through ragged Spewell Bluff it slithers
Filled with fresh rain water

Crepe Myrtle blooms abound
Bright Rudbeckia only sun (Leaving home
Petunia's purple crown
Hilltop view of Potato Creek
Also distant mountains
Those being restless man's daydreams (Hilltop at Potato Creek
Looking for a fountain
Curvy the road as climb those hills
Going up going down
Drainage assured water that flows (Mountains to Flint River
To river and ocean fill
Cry
Once
Then none
Flint River
Thrown from bridge two small
Babies sister brother drowned
Every time go by I hear the children cry call me
Mother experienced temporary insanity threw them from bridge to swift water
