Emotion’s exalt me
Scorching me
tormenting me
understanding distorting
it passes by my misfortune
innocence transforms into trauma
around and around like a carousel
as i go parallel
so does my armor
talking on a life of its own further
this is my exhortation
awakening
it’s consequences obnoxious parading
degrading
that defining moment
where i lost faith
so i went astray
next time i’d excommunicate
that soothes the state
it became subconcious
its exhortation so to be honest
subconcious logic.

I want this venture to spread wide
And her first walk a giant stride.
So, let's face things from every side,
Checking, wisely, losing man's pride...
Some had this tried and later cried
For lent ears to cut and dried,
Besides who shall have the sweet bride:
Who, in deed, should the horse first ride?
What I now see: men who schemes hide'
To whom hope of true change had died:
Guys who can Satan's - type time bide
And have Christ nine times denied!
Let him fly who can also glide:
His truth: he'd many times lied

"Same ol', same ol'!",
Cries the Sentinel.
"He pits the parties
To perfect His will
In His heavens,
And on His Earth!"
"I trust Him to do the right thing
More than I trust my own judgment."
"Same ol', same ol'!",
Cries the Sentinel.
"Their moral high-rank
Is only a Mirage,
Tricking a thirsty soul
That its way is safe!"
"I trust Him to guide my footsteps
More than I trust my own eyesight."
"Same ol', same ol'!",
Cries the Sentinel.
"His powerful help-
Irrelevant crutches
In their blind pursuit
Of deceitful wages!"
"I trust Him to keep on winning
More than I trust my own profit."
"Same ol', same ol'!",
Cries the Sentinel.
"The Savior loves you-
But there's no such thing
As acceptable sin,
Because it ruins!"
"I will trust Him and His choices
More than I trust my own reason."
"He comes, He comes!",
Cries the Sentinel.
"With Heaven's Armies
And all His holy ones
To keep His promises
For those who trust Him!"
"I trust Him to keep His Word
More than I trust the Meritocracy."

The year turns and so the season of light reborn follows.
This year the darkness overbears my fragile flame
Too many lights have been extinguished
Too many hearts broken, too much despair.
Perhaps
I have simply arrived at an age where
The darkness is closer than before
perhaps
The light seems so far away
because too many obscuring shadows lay between.
This morning’s solstice moon
In her last crescent stood
For a few moments in the sky
Before the clouds inrushed to block the sight.
Before the changing of the day
Will come the changing of the night.
The year turns and the solstice promises
The end of encroaching darkness
That threatens to engulf my fragile flame
Of hope and need for peace.
For some of us, for me, the night seems long.
Blessed be, Blessed be, Blessed be.
Go to the light; ring out the bells;
Sing carols; adore the scene.
Fight for the light!
Before it is put out entirely.

Exhortation to the Night
What breaths fill this night?
Exhaled by things that shun the touch of light?
Accept the burden of pressing dark?
Face the Abyss to read its Mark?
Down in the blackness
We dance and drum,
Exhorting the Unknown
To Manifest and come.
We wheel through the Void
Between the stars
Accepting its taint and all it mars.
We the believers in Divine Disorder,
The ones who prowl on reality's border
We bearers of an Alternate Truth:
The universe was different in its youth.
Back when the stars had just begun to burn,
The Watchers formed and began to learn
The evil secrets locked in space,
The musings of gods that have no face.
Enrobed in darkness
We writhe and turn
Wanting to know
Fearing to learn
The awful truths
That bend the mind
That separate us from our kind.
Ours the breaths that chill the night.
Ours the eyes that shun the light.
We accept the mantle of the dark.
We behold the Abyss and feel its mark.

I have been saved halleluiah
From the darkness of my aurora
An extraterrestrial exhortation
From the grips of an evil temptation
Mindless compulsions overtake reality
Engulfed in the deadly sin of propensity
Each day deeper into the pit of duality
Floundering on the cusp of insanity
What is real and what is nothing
Into the black hole of wondering
The answer is written as I scour
Desperation life is dour
Out of the darkness comes the light
If only you can survive the night

Courtesan rays slip through saffron robes
undaunted countenance persists
past spuriously puffed up wares
burying a man alive
Protect me from this sea
drown out in apprehension
unscrupulously seizing me
Engulf me in a mere chestnut gloss
where the specters lie in wake
loop your thrum against my form
and pleasure you may take
°as the night rests so shall we
and in morning a love will rise

Hear ye hear ye o vainglorious creatures
This day have I weighed thine lives in measures
Know ye not thine retinue will not last?
And all becometh old as of the past?
Repent ye of thine evil ways this day
For it cometh soon to an end - mine stay.
For of nothing but debris art thou made
To it thou surely returneth someday.

In this world of increasing darkness
there is only one source of real light
the Lord God himself shines His glory
looking upon His own in their plight
This is the God of eternal salvation
promising it to all who believing trust
in the saviour of redeemed sinners
so trusting our fears will go bust
In our life there are so many dangers
from within and without they come
so the need is a mighty stronghold
one that will beat a mighty drum
When we have this behind our back
our front will then know no fear
this is our Lord God mighty in battle
stand firm! like David always in gear
(some thoughts based on psalm 27)

Wail hard and loud, and shake the walls
With grief, sorrow. In festive halls
Let laughter spew volcanic rains
Of living lava. Let your pains
Be proud pronounced for all to hear,
And of that which to you is dear,
Fight fiercely, with a savage love,
Like that of I AM up above
Our milky world. Be passion filled
In carnal craze, and strong-willed
In pleasures sought. Fear no offence!
Ignore all treaties. This existence
Only thrives when thunders shout,
Rivers rend, and suns go out.

The apostle Paul here brings his word
addressing those seekers to follow God
speaking here with confidence and boldness
living the life of God he will plod
Paul here shows Christ's approval of him
for he calls all that to God profess
to indeed walk keenly in his steps
for Christ's approval they should confess
The apostle himself shows his faith
for to please the Christ is his aim
so he points others to likewise direction
that they follow with similar flame
His exhortation comes from a full heart
telling his followers to also follow
keenly towards the ever living Christ
for that road brings no sorrow
So indeed heed Paul's true word
make it your absolute inward desire
to go after Christ for evermore
proving yourself with godly fire
