Premium MemberPRAISE BE TO GOD FOR HIS MARVELOUS WORK

November 6 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on John 7-8

Key Verse – John 7:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.

PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR HIS MARVELOUS WORK

Praise be to God for His marvelous work that makes us:
Uncover His ways
Understand His will
Unwavering in His work
Undaunting in His wisdom
Unashamed due to His worth
Undoubtful because of His Word
Unfaltering thru His workmanship
Unswerving along His watchfulness

John 8:1-2 Praise be to the Lord for teaching us to:
Exhort us to progress through His power
Encourage us along His precepts
Expose us to His performance
Examine our prayerfulness
Enrich us by His principles
Evaluate our personality
Eschew pride

John 8:31 Praise be to the Saviour for enabling us
to continue in His Word, while:
Victorious in His discipleship
Valiant against discouragements
Vanquishing disobedience and doubts
Valuing His direction midst dependence
Vibrant to do duties with diligence and dedication. Amen!

Ye love me more for who I am

Let this world mete out to thee unjust blame.
To me, thy fairest eyes shall ever shine,
Let tongues parrot what so eyes at fault frame,
Thy praise alone shall reach keen ears of mine.
Let humble thou of thyself speak modest,
Me, knowing thee well, shall always exhort
Thee to hoist whatever be the fairest,
Modesty never plays a partial sport.

It’s rare still if one in love’s worldly-wise,
My views when weighed by love, are purified
By fire of truth can never once be lies,
An if my faith in love’s fairly applied,
I know, as well as thou, ye love me more
For who I’m than all that I said afore.

Premium MemberLike Gold of Havilah

Like gold of Havilah
   God is true and straight.
I can exhort Adonai
   For His tender heart.

Be it ambivalence
   Or the hour of drear
Wherever prayer is
   The Lord abides there.

Royalty and rivalry
   May erupt with hate
But He will take my leave
   Untouched by the flame.

Premium MemberPolitical Disenchantments

Our nation - at a crossroads now
With intersecting planes
Of concepts much at odds somehow -
Exacerbating strains.

The Democrats perplexities:
A "Heart without a Head"
Explains irrationalities -
(Dysfunction - simply said).

Republican proclivities:
A "Head without a Heart"
Explains their personalities -
(Flatlines on MDs charts).

Both play the same devout "blame game"
With terse polemics wrought
As zealots on both sides proclaim
Their hyperbolic thoughts.

They come and go yet most remain,
Though times change in due course,
And seem to think it's their domain -
Their livelihood resource.

And, money flows and money goes
Awash in large amounts
But how, from where, no accounts show;
Just smoke and mirrors doubts.

With most seats safely in the till
Few voters needs to heed,
Instead exert, exhort their will
On things inflating greed.

Then, how do we comport with this
Vast wasteland so immense?
We wax and wane and turn and twist -
It's our experience.

For They Speak With Thunder

I stand barefoot eyes open sometimes closed but as I stare into the grey abyss that deluges rain and its oh divine potent power. It is cogent that we are mere cells of a bigger picture in the eyes of something wiser and older than time. I see the birds fly in a perfect circle as if it is the crown of a powerful being gratifying its presence and that it has heard our prayers. I only catechize and exhort for an answer what hands push the droning wall of grey mass halting everything in time. We are his loyal fireflies we are his altruistic doves.

Poem Exhorts Me

Why
poetry exhort me

With care
know and learn
from neighbors

Write a poem
while listening and following
to their breathing

Walk together in the poem
like train travel:
same direction
same way
in different places

Watch your life
And show you.

Premium MemberWondrous Dew Drops

Dew drops of blest functional zest
Glitter midst wondrous role
Beautifying leaves at each crest
With precious crystals to attest
Creator's great ecosystem goal
Inviting morning stroll.

In their environmental worth
Dew drops reduce heat stress
Giving good health to Mother Earth
While for plants, victorious mirth
Smiting hotness that does oppress
Against hydration mess.

Along essence explained so well
By scientific light
Dew drops in their moisture excel
For seeds to sprout nature can tell
Revealing sure resilient might
For humankind's delight.

Exposing days,* precious but short
Marked with temporal glow
Fresh at dawn for hope to exhort
Dew drops show vanishing resort…
Thus, we must maximize breath flow
Living by faith, we grow.

*Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.

Premium MemberCenturion

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, gathered in awe
to watch The Master and his name exhort,
and at the crease blazoned a century score
by the Lion slayer in fierce onslaught.
Cut, hook, pull, and drive - each ball thunderstruck
as I took my guard at the city end,
cover and square leg would scurry and duck
   when Excalibur blade threatened…Amen!
“Bravo centurion!” they’d shout, “more! more!”
dapper in his zinc and red bandana -
into Wisden and new Leopard folklore
“run-out” on that great urban savannah.
I should have stayed my crease - instead I ran -
but cometh the legend, cometh the man!

            Written: December 1996

Note: A centurion is a batsman who scores
a hundred runs in an innings. Alas I
was run-out for 111 that fateful day.

*The Leopards were my cricket team.
*The Lions were one of our fiercest rivals.
*Cover & square leg are fielding positions.
*Cut, hook, pull, drive, are cricket shots.
*Taking guard is marking your crease in
line with your stumps to protect them.
*Excalibur is a brand of cricket bat.
*Wisden is a prestigious cricket almanac.

Tires protest loudly
Vision tunnels as night falls
White lines hypnotize
Strong coffee, deeper longings
Steel resolve, exhort homeward

Irreconcilable Paradox

Law of karma states our karma boomerangs
We get back what we give
Hate begets hate, help gives help
If we do bad, bad will happen to us

This obviously implies that those who do bad to us
are doing so under the direction of God
because God wants to punish us

Does that mean bad doers are exempt from law of karma?
That we should accept all miseries without trying for solution
That everytime we do something bad
we should see God working through us and not repent

But that doesn't happen
All are punished for every mistake

It seems God is making us do bad deeds
 and punishing for same.

If that's the case why should scriptures exhort us
to do good deeds?

An irreconcilable paradox indeed

Use Your Gift Don'T Use You

Use your gift don't use you
Use your gift and exhort
Use you and exhaust

Use your skill don't use me
Use your skill and be sure
Use me and distrust

Use your talent don't use us
Use your talent and gain
Use us and fail

Use your mind don't follow the crowd
Use your mind and succeed
follow the crowd and be deceive

Use your faith don't use your sight
faith sees through the dark
sight, drops like a kite

Use morale don't use emotions
use morale you be stable
use emotions you be unstable

Use your gift a Man's gift
makes him swift.

This Day

It’s a caliginous hour.
All this universe of verse
Portrays random snippets of you,
It does not spell out the alphabet of reality,
As I utter, compliment,
And offer rivers of lexical jewels
You’d find tender in the ode of fatherly love,
Under this nimbostratus sky.
The misty waves of darkness,
The dim corridors of schism,
And, to be found, a delicate fleur
In the blossom of the night,
When threadbare tales are being told,
When artifice is the bard of conviction,
When imperfections are buried
In the deepest grave of psyche,
Exhort and merit the submission to death.
And death? What an ultimate finality that is!
Admired and celebrated, but not just yet!
The zeal is felt as a song is sang to the harp,
Blest, I am on this day, blest because of you,
Blest by sagacity, and by your determination
To embrace life, and tackle the obstacles.
And it is then that my fondness erupts
At the Banquet of love with bass-relief
Engraved into my heart for eternity,
It is then that life has a meaning,
As the voice is heard,
As marching on continues.
