FAUVISTA examined

a poem
of
colour
   clashing
 bright &bold
saturated
in
  simply
subjective
  perceptions

an
emotiona!
  response
 not faithfulness
    to reality
with
  unflinching
expressive
lines

a
harmonious
   visual tone
flat
with
  urgency
    &incompleteness
heightened
  characterisation
by

Premium MemberLiving the Examined Life

The man lives in a fishbowl
  that's always patroled
A high intensity microscope
  where in darkness he gropes

Every word always weighed
by the left and the right
If Superman were President ~
  Nah, he'd rather take kryptonite

Apocalypse Examined Part Ii

from the boundaries you can find refuge on the mountain side
experience has taught you the cities peril over a thousand times
if you can't hunt that's where the food is the strong have families uprooted
not following through means you're weak so you'll shoot just to prove it
laws faded as soon as the system crumbled and stopped payment
what was once a great land lies in ruins as a lost nation
we lost faith in trust, human kindness, and compassion
the second lives were less important than the rations
with a few exceptions it's best to travel alone
forgoe comfort and battle the cold, snowy surface gravel the road
walk along it and who knows maybe you'll find a soul
or maybe a fiery passion in your heart that's unbindable
whatever you do watch your step and tread with care
if you're lucky you may even escape death this year
I speak of an apocalypse but let's get this clear
this apocaplypse is my prison as I shed this tear

Apocalypse Examined

the city looks abandoned but you know better than to assume
danger is everywhere and after awhile you grew attune
the people who make the same msitake twice, they die
one of the only outcomes that isn't surrounded by grey lines
fake lies warp and make minds shake and break like bats on brake lights
shame hides inside pained eyes your poor brain's tried then the flame dies
but if you give up now this long fight was worthless
pissed you curse it sift and search for purpose
but in the end you come up with nothing more than filthy hands
while the ties of fate fray into silky strands
the only thing you actually see in the mirror is a chilling glance
decieved by the little white lies your feelings grant
cause real truth is harsh, it's like a punctured heart
it just keeps gushing blood till the blood's to sparce
you're bled dry then hung up as trophy
so every passer by can stop and examine you closely

Premium MemberArrogance Examined

Perhaps from a seed of self doubt
Planted somewhere along the way
Defense against the blows dealt
Probably more than one factor at play

Arrogance seen on some days
Confidence seen on another
Only a thin line to be walked
Separating one from the other

Premium MemberValues Examined At Divorce

Mother of Pearl.
Sand slipped inside a shell.
Seagull's morning feast.

There once was a father who wanted time and space
There once was a woman who ran a race.
The children were grown.
Their pockets were blown.
So one retired and the other became an ace.

There's two sides to every story, personal answers within.
Judgment of each awaits God, or those who haven't ever sinned.

Examined Reality

Green was not all that what it seemed,
as I neared it from afar,
still not so near it and more far than near,
it seemed a little grey at corners and middle,
as I walked for it nearer,
now the grey was still greyer and presto,
there was also yellow in between greys,
the green was still overall green though,
now seeing more tinges than I could at first,
I grew eager and steeped neare it faster,
now the iris dug deeper and I could see even traces of red,
red flashed loud and clear in between yellows,
nwo I was really piqued to no end,
and I rushed nearest thus far,
and voila! there were plenty of black where it wasn't green,
I am now on top of it and saw all colors around me,
its just about the same with most situations and times,
dont's see just the "green" of them from afar,
and get really near to them to see colors clear or ajar.
