Apocalypse Examined Part Ii
from the boundaries you can find refuge on the mountain side
experience has taught you the cities peril over a thousand times
if you can't hunt that's where the food is the strong have families uprooted
not following through means you're weak so you'll shoot just to prove it
laws faded as soon as the system crumbled and stopped payment
what was once a great land lies in ruins as a lost nation
we lost faith in trust, human kindness, and compassion
the second lives were less important than the rations
with a few exceptions it's best to travel alone
forgoe comfort and battle the cold, snowy surface gravel the road
walk along it and who knows maybe you'll find a soul
or maybe a fiery passion in your heart that's unbindable
whatever you do watch your step and tread with care
if you're lucky you may even escape death this year
I speak of an apocalypse but let's get this clear
this apocaplypse is my prison as I shed this tear
