Stardust on autumn leaves

The glimmering sheen of ambers and golds opulently carpet the floor
For as far as the eye can see, the metallics delicately lace through the lane
Creating crisp autumnal scenes of ethereal imagery captured in time

The magical sight of the glistening stardust, evocative of the cooling of air
The breath taking spectacular; in all of it's glory
A visionary light that comes once in a year

Crystalline pools in the veins of the leaves, tracing the channels where the water once flowed
Fragile fractures, as the parched leaves decay and return to the earth where their magic resumes
A whole year awaits as we patiently pray for the sweet annual return of the stardust on autumn leaves

Premium Member Symphony of the Sunrise

I see the luminosity of morning's twilight
emerging on the periphery of my panoramic view
   where it gradually evolves
garbed in gray and red clouds
strewn across the horizon as embroidery
   stitched into the sky
an evocative touching colored thread of serenity
   uplifting a stunning new garment
as the day begins a new birth
   of majestic majesty and marvel
leaving me in a solemn moment of grandeur
   and breathless awe
draped in profound spiritual perfection
as it uncouples from the last drop of saturated darkness
   that was the night

The simplicity of this beautiful scene
beckons the miracle of life's constant motion
of the painted kaleidoscopes that lay before me
drenched in the morning's colorful harmonious light
that washes over me like a sensual symphony
   of visual stimulation and ecstasy
from its splendor and beauty
bringing a tender sense of peace
   to an old soul
who walks the flowering gardens of life
   wiping away a tear
for the gift of another morning's light
   causing my heart to sing

A Mysterious and Sultry Shore

Seduction is a movement that falls in step with the ocean’s tide.
Its power hidden in the ebb and flow,
Evocative motions pulling you outside of time.
You tangle yourself in sea grasses,
the dark water is now your home.
Lonely souls and lovers alike,
gather by this mysterious and sultry shore.
With heavy chains they wrap their naked bodies
All hoping for a chance to drown.

Another Whistling Train Speeds By

Another whistling train speeds by in midnoon,
the jeering lad waves at pensive passengers
absorbed in serene, not adverse feelings;
his youth is vibrant and ready to lampoon!

Daises, jasmines and violets are gently lulled
in their wild and lush meadows as it rushes by;
ravens disperse in pervasive fear so unequaled;
what was too calm turns into chaos: a pitiful cry!

Is it nostalgia he clings to, or something else?
That landscape is as vivid as his happy yesterday;
he hears the shrieking horn, its sound is not terse:
crossing the tracks can be fatal in mischievous play!

The adventurous boy climbs the breezily and balmy hills,
and excited by the spectacular view, he begins to hum;
all sonorous canaries start warbling to accompany him:
they echo in the valley below to awaken church bells!

Another whistling train speeds by in midnoon,
he describes this scenery in an evocative poem;
no tears go to waste, they're precious to him:
it's nighttime, even darkness will grant his boon!

The Loveliness Of Lynn's Garden

No prettier flowers match the ones
Lynn nurtures with immense care;
all her fantasies seem to adhere...
as if they were evocative lyrics!

Crape myrtle trees are blooming early,
they beautify the lively garden below;
blossoms make a soft and cozy pillow
to lay down gently and dream sweetly!

No windfall scatters them around with blows,
their stems can withstand upcoming storms;
their petals dazzle and make tearful Flora smile...
whenever she's anxiously waits to be a bride!

All the vivid colors of this suburban garden
invite everybody to stare at them gleefully,
Giancarlo offers a bouquet to a lonely lady;
her thankfulness pleases the kind gentleman!

If only spring could last all yearlong, southbound
Marlins, Canaries and Puffs would come around often;
their astonishing, cheery melodies will surely astound:
stop by and admire the loveliness of Lynn's garden!

ALOUETTE

ALOUETTE

A tremulous violin rises into the sky
Leaving its thoughtful melodic trail
Faint echoes of English countryside
And for this listener, evoking pride
The lark still ascending, tells its tale
We’re left in tears and all know why

As I experience the Lark Ascending
A haunting, evocative arrangement
Describing a gentle fluttering of wings
The emotions that the melody brings
Wistful and feeling such contentment
The mood lingers with its soft ending

Early twentieth century composition
In some ways reflecting an innocence
With nature captured in that melody
Springtime fields, and life feeling free
That piece of work made such sense
Ralph Vaughan Williams’ true vision

Lagniappe Of Expression

Evocative lines bring tears to the eyes.
Plethora of metaphors makes men think.
Emollient words soothe someone in his cries.
Furtive reading lets not mind quit and blink.
As the brain broods the troubles that arise,
No way will confidence dwindle or shrink.
Ineffable happiness of the heart
Allows not the sad soul to fall apart.

Prospective Longings

I know that one day
When the wind blows on my face
I'll smile to myself;
Look up at the sky
And find beauty in the simplest of things.
The rays of sunlight would once again lift me up
And the flowers would make me reminisce the most beautiful of memories.
The sound of the sea waves,
The chirping of the birds
And the rustling of leaves
Would make me forget all the worries in the world
And i will cherish life once again
But that is not today.

Earth's mysteries—swirling in the sky.
Heaven is comely with lemon meringue.
Vaporizing clouds are dulcet and colored.
Cinnamon light was shed on my shoulders.

Peering onto the horizon of a waning sun.
Beethoven and Mozart split into the ether.
Ruby tangos fuchsia in an outburst of ecstasy.
Fetching hues of elixir flash and flare.

Obsidian clouds yield a rumble of thunder.
Cumulus clouds coal-colored clusters.
In erratic black seas, akin to rogue boats.
Thunderclaps imbue a shiny sheen.

A cyan-blue sky casts her limbs outward.
Soaring saffron butterflies and kites.
A cloud of endorphins shrouds the world.
Amid raucous mirth and glamor lullabies.

The sky's evocative color palette.
sparked by the effervescent moonlight.
delightful days laced with zeal and zest
amid a kaleidoscope hallucination.

Colors waltz in a rainbow kaleidoscope
cynosure of sun sparks steel drum teams
Emerald elms embrace periwinkle sky
among fragrant spikes of purple lupines.

               Monet and Van Gogh are arm-in-arm
               spin a diaphanous color wheel off charts
               starry night, yellow circumduct swirls
               over white water lilies on mirror ponds.

Consider both humanity and nature
emollient color splits and multiplies
A flamenco actor will kick and clap
Hot crimson ethereal feeling whirling flies.

                Gold and yellow dance to evocative music
                downpour is brought on by charcoal gray
                rain and brightness dance across earth
                awaking felicity from fugacious winter sleep.

Akin to a roulette ball of a gossamer color
gambling my emotional imbrication away
winning when the ball stops in blue
dancing sea and sky arouse my day.

Premium Member Moment

Though many a heart can be broken,
nothing breaks a beautiful moment.Quote - Poet’s own
Some moments are too precious to let stray
They’re kept safe in memoirs golden display
Deep inside your heart’s reminiscence chest
To recall cherished moments of the best.

When dreamers hopes and fancies flee away
Love’s exquisite moments are here to stay
The magic of romantic moonlit trysts
That lingered till cometh the morning mist.

True love is built upon strong foundation
It's a gentle, splendorous sensation
Bright as a beacon shining through the fog
A never ending sweethearts dialogue.

Falling in love’s momentous, magnetic
Enthralling, evocative, poetic
Love brings along moments of purest joy
Moments nothing or no one could destroy.

One moment of time can last forever
To have and behold, cherish and treasure
Engraved upon the heart, it shines so fine
Once in former times, that moment was mine.
