Do some unpleasant memories fade away?
Or does the mind have a protective guard,
That, at times, locks the door to the past,
And shields the soul from agony's crush.
Do some memories serve as wise tutors,
That instructs the mind from time to time,
Lest the brain's library becomes forsaken,
Void of guidance for life's daily challenges?
Memories can plague the mortal mind.
They are often protesting against stiff resistance,
Demanding its rightful role and sacred duty,
To catalog the experiences of human events.
Memories acknowledge good and bad events.
They do not euthanize the painful truth,
Nor do they embellish or rewrite the facts.
They exist, impartial and unyielding.
Memories can be either friend or foe.
Perhaps that's the constant inward fear,
Why we are wary of the sentinel's mind,
Unsure what memory will breach that door

butterflies hover
because they can't crawl ~ but one
was trying to crawl
but it did not let it crawl
not let a butterfly crawl
what monstrosity
to let a fragile wee thing
not to crawl
we'll call animal control
and see what they have to say
they'll probably ask
to have 'um locked and put
away for sometime
but strike of the final blow
was the coup de grace~it's dead
a death for a death
but sir, it's just an insect
not a real person
where's the compassion I heard
all murderers in my book
so he'll get away
with the crime he committed
no body no crime
that's the way cookies crumble
I'll take you to the body
of a butterfly
it's not animal control
but men with the nets
but those guys they euthanize
not lock up that murderer
its a pussy cat
if you want to put a name
on that killer's face
it's Jeffrey Dahlmer or the
Zodiac killer so there

Shadows seep away from light
hiding within cracks to escape sight
A world smother in foaming madness
all is rotten from badness
Human life has no meaning
anguish cries echo screaming
Abort the young euthanize the old
technology replaces the soul
No religion, No nations, No justice, No love
feed the hawk starve the dove
Taste of hate swallowing fear
gasp of breath bloody tears
God forsaken in a world without faith
dark souls drowning in a pool of waste

When one finds themselves living a life of shame, whispers say " self euthanize"
They must call on Christ and His holy name,
Go down and get baptized!
Faith is the one thing to make you whole, demons try to criticize
Jesus plays a vital role,
To joy and love within,
Then demons cannot touch your soul,
Through grace be saved by Him!
Don't go to hell at any cost
Satan will tear you limb by limb
Don't let your soul be lost-
Repent and hope to find the narrow path
Jesus already paid the cost.
Heaven or hell- do the math
Choose heaven and finally go home
Or be left to feel God's wrath.
Worse than anything you've known.
Jesus is the only way
Accept the gift that you've been shown.

Oh sweet stench of death, kiss my lips thy night…
Release me from thy clutches of loves’ rot,
Unchain my soul from loves’ barbarous byte…
Where heavens display their hells and have fought,
Only to bleed bated tears in their fraught;
Be gone thy feverous eternal eyes…
Euthanize my sorrows in glutted guise,
Seal my sacrifices in twilight tombs…
Where thy demon daggers of love chastise,
And thus bringing me back to wakeful wombs.

Theologians all euthanize miracle’s glow,
Like a child might dehydrate and pin butterflies,
Jaundiced eye longs to render them all party tricks,
Puts the best under glass just to marginalize!
Shouldn’t miracle God sends then serve greater cause
Might this not be a subject worth treating in kind?
If we search our Earth's history, thousands of years,
Won’t necessity lead us at last to God’s mind?
There are God taunting voices that cry, “Bible’s fake!
Written after the fact! Accounts pulled from the air!”
But where poetry lives, how can life be alone?
With Love's colors revealed, never naked and bare!
Yes, verse fleshes life out! Bone is not all that soft!
And the breath of life gives a new heartbeat to time,
Rhythms dancing, form floating, white light, no despair,
For God lives down the track in the tower of rhyme!
Explanations all languish if god is true GOD,
Even scientists fall back on "models of truth!"
Serve Him still, but in Love, not to earn your reward,
Trust His Grace and have faith in soul’s eternal youth.

Each day fades away in haze.
Scorched way decays, leaves no trace
to face, rays of hope dim gray.
Angst says run, I vote to stay
in this endless maze of days.
Previous fall took its toll,
not whole anymore, what for?
Closed door, after all, feels sore.
Down in core wages inner war
between me, and all I love.
With closed eyes, vivid lies arise
to euthanize "what ifs" inside.
Last goodbyes never said, abide,
cut the ties, understand, don't fight.
Will I ever see the light again?

Charlie the horse went completely blind,
it looked as if this was Charlie's end,
the staff were going to euthanize Charlie,
but then something amazing happened.
Jack the Goat and Charlie the horse became inseparable friends.
The goat would lead Charlie everywhere,
the goat never left Charlie's side,
until one day when Charlie got trapped in an area
where the goat couldn't lead Charlie outside.
The Goat ran and got staff to rescue his friend
and possibly saved Charlie's life.
For sixteen years this went on, both always side by side,
and then once while both were relaxing under their favorite tree,
Charlie the horse peacefully died.
The goat smelled Charlie and for the very first time
left the horse that day,
The goat appeared ambivalent,
nonchalantly walking away.
but I do believe that Jack the goat was grieving,
just in his own specie's way.
When Jack smelled Charlie for the very last time,
to me it was as if he was trying to say,
"It's over friend, you don't need me anymore so I'll be on my way."
Charlie was buried under the tree where both would relax in stride,
When Jack the goat died,
Jack was buried right along Charlie the blind horse's side.

'TIS MURDER AFORETHOUGHT
Euthanasia and abort, modern
skills to will.to kill..but never
to be taught.
A liberating process.some say
sub contracted to others,
doctors,nurses and the like,
so the protagonist can look away.
Avoid a look at the bucket of
once living flesh and blood.
avoiding a memory,which in
nightmares would always stay.
'Tis murder aforethought..
cleansed of the deed,to so
easily destroy one's once living
seed.
Again, another liberating process
arrives,on our stage,it's freethinking
error to wage..
Again,let someone else euthanize..
never us or me to do the deed,a doctor
a nurse to sub contract our need..
to administer the drug
while..I ..we ..one step removed..
watch my ..our ..kin.. ..my ..our hands..
unstained..but this fact..still ...
'Tis murder aforethought..
to will..to kill.

I just put Elvis on my CD player,
I'm still a Country fan at heart,
In nursing school, I was considered a freak,
Even though, at that time, I was pretty smart.
Now at 74, I'm still an ole time country freak,
My family are all rock 'n roll fans,
I don't mind-I don't really care to change,
They don't have to listen-they can wring their hands.
Elvis is singin' that saddest of songs, "Old Shep",
It always make me cry crocadile tears,
Shep was such a cool dog with so much pep,
Now I know what happens after all those years.
I'm glad we don't euthanize people-
Of course dogs don't know what's going to happen,
Darn it! Now he's singin' "Your Cheatin' Heart",
Guess I'll just get to clappin' and tappin'.
Have FUN!
