Premium MemberOf Once Was

shadows of mountains
reflecting on a still lake
a strong wind blows in
continuous whitecaps drift
rows of ripples fade near shore

falls soon arrival
turned mountains brown and naked
trees in skeleton
hold nests with broken eggshells
that echo through the forest

heat related torch
wildfires engulf the mountains
killing everything
extinguished ashes remain
the residue of once was

External Storms

External Storms
Listen close, the winds whisper low,
A symphony of sorrow's ebb and glow.
Thunder rumbles, a beast awakening,
Heaven's own heartbeat, in warning speaking.
Pressure builds, unseen forces stir,
An invisible tempest, nature's curse.
Silhouettes dance on lightning's flash,
Echoes of laughter turn to ash.
As shadows lengthen and tempests rage outside,
Within these walls, another battle wages.
A heart laid bare, its defenses torn apart,
Yearns for embrace yet trembles at a new start.
Through sheets of rain and tears untold,
A silhouette emerges, a ghost story retold.
Familiar features, both blessing and banded,
Approach with caution, yet still drawn again.
Hope rises like the tide, threatening to engulf,
Dragging secrets from the depths, forcing confessions cruel.
Lightning flashes, illuminating scars,
Reflections of shattered lives, jagged edges sharp.
I should walk away, flee this maelstrom of doubt,
Yet I remain rooted, paralyzed by your pout.
One touch ignites a firestorm within,
Reason abandoned, surrendering to sin.

Premium MemberAmidst the Kiss

A soft caress within the night
awakens my burning need for bliss.
Entangled with your warm delight,
seduction starts amidst this kiss.

Your lips, alluring and divine,
engulf me in desire's retreat.
Enamored by our sweet design
we draft a gage for love's elite.

Upon a canvas of romance
your beauty draws my sex appeal.
Excitement's blush begins its dance
as roaming fervor paints with zeal.

While skillful strokes discreetly trace
a portrait rich with cherished details,
a crimson glow adorns my face
as exaltation's hand prevails.

I gaze upon the scene where rapture hides,
the masterpiece that is you now on display.
Artistic inspiration guides
until the vibrant break of day.

As rays of dawn light the sky
we drift into a tranquil sleep.
On wings of love we ever fly
in dreams where passion's pull is deep.

Ominous leaden clouds sink low in the sky overhead.
As shadows fade the gloomy day increases uncertainties.
I don a sullen expression as morose feelings engulf me.
The ambience that surrounds me is most depressing.
This empty dullness I feel renders me deeply dispirited.

My resolves, like ivy vines, coalesce around.
My caverns of thoughts constantly open and close.
Amidst scorns, I hear a spitefully silent sound.
Absurdity whirlpools as though decoded morose
Courage, like a well-built rampart, guards me, I know.
Confidence overflows from the jar of my heart.
Why, yet, does darkness of despair engulf my hut?
Why do breezes end and storms violently blow?
Though reason, like passion, plays a parallel part
Why do doors of my homecoming seem to be shut?

Sun, Sand and Sea

Walking barefoot along the beach
the sun is setting over the waters
and it paints the sky orange and pink.
The wet sand squishes between my toes,
I take a deep breath of the salty air
close my eyes and listen to
the squawk of the gulls and
the waves lapping the shore.
Enamored of the magical moon
the waves of the sea rise reverently and
passionately race to engulf the shore,
Besotted, my heart yearns to embrace
my beloved in my longing arms.

Premium MemberThe Cold Embrace of Death

I love the cold as I lay beneath my
feather doodah, or chill-out
in my warm down-filled wind cheater.

I love to run through fields of ice and snow
with steam expelling from my mouth
with every each puff and breath.

I love to sip the steamy warm soup
with the cup warming my frigid lips.

For everyday I stave off
the cold embrace of death,
threatening to engulf me.

If I stop trying
and my energy fails,
my warmth will succumb
To the call of the cold,
forever wanting me to relent
and give up.

For to stay alive,
I must burn the food I eat and digest,
bask in the sunshine, sit by the fire,
to keep warm against the chill,
forever sucking heat from me.

The shrill chill encompasses me
with the cold embrace of death.

Premium MemberLove's Mountain

Written a ton of poems
Many of them silly, many about love
Have decades of experience
But the love I'm feeling now
Surpasses any I have ever experienced before
In my whole entire life
Free of encumbrances or prejudices
Finally able to just let the love flow
And where it stops, is where it stops
My heart explodes with excitement
The thought that after all these many years
I have finally found the one
That special someone with the heart of an angel
The soul of the most precious being
I have ever had the pleasure to know
I call her my love, my absolute treasure
I'm on top of love's mountain
Way up high feeling the fresh waves of love
Engulf me with a rapture sublime
Writing poetry brings out my deepest feelings
Feelings I have never ever felt before
Even after all these many years
At 89, I'm still learning how to love

as form, we dissolve
in the stream of bliss
as divine magnetism, we engulf
body urn so yearning

to connect

who on earth can name
the resultant rapture splash
brought about by love’s embrace
fixating attention thus in meditation

in an unbroken continuum

I will never know

I will never feel your wetness slide down my cock
Simply because I do not have one.
I will never know your texture beyond 3-4 inches
Simply because my fingers are not long enough.

I can hold you and kiss you,
But I wonder if my longing for you will ever be satisfied.
I can make you cum,
But would it really be me or the toy you hold?

Will I ever have that pride in making you scream?
Can I provide something for you that you can’t receive from a cock?
Do you appreciate it even though we are operating with boundaries?

Say what you will about men,
But at least the equipment is already installed.
Even gay men can fully engulf themselves into another person.

Women are different.
Women must rely on stimulation and imagination.
Although, I feel like my imagination can only carry me so far.

Give Them to Me

If you have them for me
If they are in you to give
Then give them to me...
If I've been good
Or, at least you thought I was good
Give them...
I receive them humbly and wholeheartedly
Don't hold 'em
For if you do, I will miss their beauty
Their freshness will wane and soon they will wilt and fade away
So give them...
Freely_
I'd do the same for you
My flowers...
Give me my beautiful, tender, aromatic fluorescents
Give them to me
I'd do the same for you
Give them while my eyes can behold their beauty, while my mind can reflect, and my nose can engross them
I'd do the same for you
Give them to me...
While the drum still beats in my chest
Give them...
Before I take my final rest
I want to hold them and gently engulf them
So give them to me
I'd do the same for you
Just give them to me
And I promise, I'd do the same for you

The horizon ablaze with marmalade embers whisper upon the edge of blue sky
Vibrant pastel bush strokes stretch out to electrify a calm emerald lake as a slight breeze touches the tree tops with a peaceful sigh
A feeling of perfection in subtle breathes of completion fill my eyes
With a dynasty of yellow and lavender trinkets
Wild flowers bend in a rainbow disguise

Alone I sit near the lakeside my feet buried in cinnamon sand as I engulf a mesmerizing ancient drum beat trailing along to rest within my hand as a trail of smoke rises from the fireside as I begin to clap my hands
For a moment a red hawk veers westward as the morning moon sinks low in the east
A rainbow trout leaps for the water's
As I raise my arms in belief

She passed away upon a day
Where silence lie in sullen vein
Where whispered notions plant a seed
Of all the words penned in belief
Hoping a man would come to see
A well lit road clear and free

To find tranquility within a psalms
To cry aloud a remembered song
And through the ages to live again
Her spirit arise
Through lofty winds

All in all and in the end
A triunphant poet
lives again

For love shall not desert a heart of hope
Lingering on through the vast unknown
Her words engulf a pondering poet

Lamb To The Slaughter

Gentle tributary
of a hill-born river
suburban lake caressed
acres of fertile land -
paddy rich, growing fields

Schools of fish raced at depths
water-birds, herons, egrets,
warblers, mynas, pipits,
swallows, shikra, barbets, owls
Bowl that held varied lives

The surrounding city
rapidly scales cloud- heights, as
skilled strategists, land grabbers,
investors, policymakers,
now take her on a ride

The silenced birds, once family
to the lively-living lake,
their provider, now watch
from a mile, her being led
like a lamb to the slaughter

chemical sewers, toxic algae
rotting froth, foam, fumes engulf
volatile, fire-prone, wasted,
water body stands scrapped
A stilled lake, beyond repair

Quantum Superposition
”A particle can exist in multiple states or places simultaneously until measured.”

we know now that light is
both a particle and a wave
as ethereal vibrations
omnipresent in enigmatic space
both the light of the sun
as also the light that lights the sun

let us look at bilocation
demonstrated by many a saint
to name a few ~ Padre Pio, Ananamayi Ma,
Jesus, Sri Yukteshwar Giri, Neem Karoli Baba …

why then is our consciousness limited
containerised by mind and senses five
when it is vividly clear and self-evident
that our true Self is absolute

who dwells in the potent pause
of polarity interchange
at each half-breath and betwixt heartbeats
or between two thought trains

where lies fulcrum of awareness
is it in the head, the heart or in the void
allowing pristine silence to engulf stillness
truth of the noumena is known
beheld in plain sight as flickers in space
being both immanent and transcendent
