Beautiful Spring day

Today, celebrate this day. It is
Sunday but it is also
Easter. He is
Risen

Sunday
nice day
Dozen!
Lavender gingham dress
Teensy tiny cotton checks
Laced pinafore with dotted Swiss trim
Thick scratchy twirling tulle petticoat
Lacy white Sunday school gloves
I twirled my dress in my shiny patent leather shoes
Feeling enormously pretty
Bright light pervades the tomb.
Wrappings neatly folded, laid aside.
Perfect Son of Man resuscitates;
Adorned in power and majesty.
Darkness of death irreversibly erased.
Salvation in Christ’s sanctified being.
Lamb - head-to-heels immaculate.
Brilliance of dayspring greets groom.
Perfume of heaven saturates atmosphere;
The Rose of Sharon satisfies.
Lambent Messiah cast off sin.
His eyes bear no pain,
Nor shade onrushing sun.
Intensity of love and majesty;
Zealous to embrace His victory.
We search not the living among the dead
The wine that is His blood and His flesh that is the bread
We partake with His Word and in joyous psalms
Commemorating His death till He comes
That the slain Son of God rose
Having purged us of our sins and woes
We search not the living among the dead
We search not hope in the things we dread
For a wiser and better one than Solomon and Moses
And a greater one than reason and fathom poses
Did the never before done and never after to be repeated
And is now on the right hand of the Father seated
We search not the living among the dead
Who only bruised a heel from crushing the serpent’s head
Claiming back for us earthly dominion
And restoring to us the Father’s communion
Praised be Christ from generation to generation
Not just in mention but in adoration and veneration

EASTER SUNDAY
We have lost so many family and friends over the years
That has left us with so many tears
For all of us, Easter means hope
All around the globe
Easter love will always come from the heart
It's a chance for your heart to restart
And for your family and family never be apart
Easter is one big celebration
That will always be from generation to generation
Easter should always be a special day
We pray for the almighty father
Besides Easter God should always be honored
So have a great Easter
And remember each day to pray
And let the lord show you the right way
One
abundantly provides
(bread and fish)
left-overs times twelve;
seated in groups,
man, woman, child,
this time,
eating fullness.
‘Eat me,’ invitation.
‘Breathe my breath.’
‘Greet me.’
On Friday,
death falls
all undone
by reckless love,
in crux of times:
Sunday.
Harvest-seed,
dirt-planted,
sky-yearning,
multiplies.
By hatred, insolence, apathy,
undeterred,
the seed -
the lavish gift persists.
So, begin.
Darkest Night, Morning Lights
By Mark D. Stucky
Darkness descends
upon the rocky land,
and fills a tomb
of a slaughtered Lamb.
With that unmerited death,
everything seems lost,
and hope seeps away
into stone cracks.
Trembling tears and fears
consume devastated disciples,
scattered about Jerusalem
and hiding in shadows.
Until the appointed time
this Sunday morning,
when light bursts forth,
vanquishing darkness
above and from an empty tomb.
Two ascending lights this morning,
risen sun
and Risen Son.

If the disciples hadn't encountered Him,
--Risen-- three days after He had died--
They wouldn't have given their lives
--for Him! Wouldn't even have tried.
They didn't suggest they'd had a vision
of Jesus resurrected, just in a dream--
The Son shone through a cloud of witnesses...
Healed wound-marks --proof-- He did redeem!

Inspired by listening 2 the Cale Clarke Show,
on Relevant Radio-- after Easter Sunday! :-D
I howl with wolves I’ll be back somehow
My heart bruised like the sky that hour before sunrise
When sparrows find yoke in the universe
But blossom as copper in the Apple trees
Filling the cold morning with jingling keys
The pond steams like coffee
This early blurry April moon in the fingers of Oaks
Is mine
Here in my backyard in my sky
A moon can be yours too I understand
But that is your moon a different stone to throw
Down your own well
I moaned to the universe
And tempted to depoliticize dehumanize dephilosophize
The Son of God
But that was a mistake
The battle made Him more so all those things
So I made Him just mine again
My salvation
In the quiet mind of my birdcage
Door set ajar
Found peace
In the infinite purity of in-between.
EASTER SUNDAY
As Friday becomes Easter day,
we then,with hallelujahs pray.
Let's celebrate Jesus' resurrection
as a family, on Easter Sunday:
thanking God for His love and protection.
Let's take a moment, bow our heads, and pray,
inviting Jesus to enter our hearts;
as a family, on Easter Sunday.
Let's acknowledge all the love He imparts;
let's get on our knees and ask His blessing,
inviting Jesus to enter our hearts.
Be humble; it's Jesus we're addressing,
Christ is our salvation, the Son of God:
let's get on our knees and ask His blessing.
Even if others may think it is odd,
let us take the time to express our love:
Christ is our salvation, the Son of God.
As we pray and look to Heaven above
Let's celebrate Jesus' resurrection.
Let us take the time to express our love
and thank God for His love and protection.
An Easter Bunny Rhyme
Easter’s the time for a bunny rhyme
Come hopping in line to church bells chime
Twitch noses as if smelling roses
Sing bunny rhymes of Easter posies.
If you should join an Easter egg hunt
Move with a thumpety-thump-thump-thump
Share your findings as true friends should do
Sharing’s a hunky-dory virtue.
Sing of the pain that Jesus went through
Hung on a cross for me and for you
Upon a hillside so faraway
Yet rose again on Easter Sunday.
Sing a bunny rhyme in voices clear
Alleluia’s for Easter is here
Honour Lord Jesus for loving you
Sing for bunnies who love Jesus too.

Easter - 7th April 2023
.
The devil and his demons
The rulers and the unbelievers
They felt triumphant on Friday
Death shouted victoriously on Friday
But they forgot that Sunday was coming
They rested and observed the Sabbath on Saturday
But life broke forth
Life changed the world
Life altered history forever
when in came Sunday morning
