Premium MemberA Giddy Happy Spinning Two Year Old

I would bring you a dancing two-year-old
A giddy, happy, excited, joyful toddler
She would be wearing a fancy dress
Her spinning and twirling would make you smile

She would take your hands and clap them for you
You would be delighted with her, for she is delightful
She would show you how to fingerpaint and remind you to laugh
that hearty happy full out laugh you have not had since childhood

A giddy happy spinning two-year-old inside a chocolate egg.
What an Easter gift!

 Happy Easter

I guess crucifying one Palestina wasn't enough
rejoice and celebrate
paint all your Easter eggs red with blood
call the victims evil and please please please
send more bombs to kill more children
or maybe just be quiet
and pretend you care
rejoice to the heavens
there is more blood in Gaza today
than water

Premium MemberAn Amazing Day To Live

Roll off. Roll off this earth.
Find rolling off earth is really rebirth.

Spinning time; earth time leads to rebirth.

New spinning more new is a gift
just for you.

Spinning here and now
perhaps nothing is left.

Roll off. Roll off this earth.
Spinning time;rebirth.

Knowing time,earth,birth,gift.
Just for you.

Centuries and quarter-centuries matter not
when you are forever alive.

Roll off. Roll off. Rebirth.
Happy Easter, 2025!

Premium MemberIn Your Easter Bonnet

She, in her Easter bonnet
Standing beneath the shade,
Alongside gentlemen in top hats
To view an Easter parade

Church bells ring distantly
Showy, white lilies sway,
Waving to sweet daffodils
On this springtime holiday

Baskets with chocolate rabbits
Jelly beans and colored eggs,
Are carried by happy children
Running by on pudgy legs

A whirl of pastel colors
Meant to delight the eye,
Like the first time seeing
A robin or a butterfly

Joyous music fills the air and
Easter dinner is on the way,
Ham and pineapple wait at home
To round out this special day!

Premium MemberLoving Little Beautiful Bunny

"Easter is on the way. Cute and soft bunnies are what little kids are dreaming about." Quote By Poet
My best friend is my honey bunny, oh how we love to eat a pot of honey. On a bright day that is sunny, we will laugh until we have a full tummy. You are so fun and cute, even when we eat our fresh fruit. For Easter I will dress you in a suit, then to church we will be en route.

Happy Easter Souper’s Miracle Man 3/31/2024 For many years now, I’ve been a privileged part. And I’ve enjoyed these poets, from the very start. They’re part of an amazing, like minded group. That makes up our family, dubbed Poetry Soup. While none I’ll ever meet, your work is your face. Though many, in my heart, have carved out a place. “Writing Poetry was not something I had on my bucket List to do in life but in 1968 at age 26 I was diagnosed with cancer. I gave my heart and life to Jesus and felt a calling to do this as a witnessing tool for HIM. I vowed to never stop until my end. I’m now 85.” He Is Risen! Tom

Everyone come and celebrate
Arise with this holy day
Sun shining brightly for
The king of Israel
Every head and knee shall bow

Premium MemberReserruction V

Do not let your heart be troubled, my friend, as to when
Christ is resurrected

Since

He is resurrected each time we feel love in our hearts
for one another!

Easter 2023
By Franklin Price
04/09/2023

Have a happy Easter everyone
God is sending down his love
He and his son Jesus
Are always watching from above

If we only just believe
We will join them there someday
Believing Christ died for our sins
Is the truth, the light, the way

Premium MemberChrist's Crucifixion

This dolorous day, my Lord,
You won't be marching alone, onto
Your crucifixion

For

The entirety of the Christian world,
Is marching on with You because of
Its conviction.

Happy Easter to everyone on Poetry Soup
(except those of you not in the 'Christian group')

I hope that you all enjoy the holiday
and that the Easter Bunny comes your kids' way

Of course, there's a lot more to Easter than bunnies and bonnets
but I'll 'Pass Over' that ~ let theologians ruminate on it
