Rooskleurige prinses van die velde
Wingerde gedroom al en deur gestap
’n Hart wat so hunker na wandelinge hand aan hand
Smagtend na dit wat voor lê
Soetsappige vreugde deur dring tot diep siele genot
Muse sou haar as opvolger beskik
we waited for ball drop
so we drink a lot
me and some friends
as the night begin
we dring bolttle of gim
and be to grim
going from block to block
until midnight under the city light
it was non stop
NEWYEARS EVA BAR HOP
Welcome to our world, when you step through the door,
Welcome to a world of loosing weight, more and more,
A plan of healthy eating, for you can hardly call it a diet,
From morning till night you munch, it certainly keeps you quiet,
Once you get the hang of it, its as easy as A,B,C,
The lbs dropping off for all to see,
All you have to do is count points,
Now so much less weight, to strain your joints,
Carrot cakes, and muffins, cherry bakewells and ice cream,
The weight watchers plan, is certainly a dream,
Curries and Lasagne, Potato wedges, fish pie,
All waiting, just for you to try,
Chocolate bars that when you eat, don’t scream more,
All of this when you walk through the door,
SO WHY DON’T YOU, do as I have done,
Join the class and have some fun,
At the moment, I have lost almost a stone,
So I am going to treat myself to an ice cream cone,
Only 4lbs to go, then I will have lost 10% of my body weight,
This plan really is a piece of cake,
So welcome to our world, just step in,
If you to, would like to be slim.
Pat Dring
I passed an outdoor coffee cart
Which advertised its wares,
And one thing that was listed
Should have garnered many stares.
Among the donuts, pastries
And the joy each item brings,
There also was hot coffee sold
And there it was – cold drings!
I’m sure that English couldn’t be
The vendor’s native tongue;
Yet someone should have edited
Before that sign was hung.
A simple spell-check would have helped
Before applying inks;
So customers, instead of drings
Would choose to order drinks.
Perhaps nobody noticed
Or they’ve chosen not to tell;
The news might be embarrassing –
It’s probably just as well.
But if I were the vendor
And my cart had a misspelling,
I’d give a cold dring, gratis,
To the one who did the telling!

Dada or Dadaism is a cultural movement primarily involved visual arts, literature—poetry,
art manifestoes, art theory—theatre, and graphic design, and concentrated its anti-war
politics through a rejection of the prevailing standards in art through anti-art cultural works.
This is my attempt at Dada.
Zring Zang
pinggity prong pang
jumping across from train to train
Bring Brang
sissity sis sang
circling round, round the storm drain
dring drang
ribbity rib rang
Trains and drains, over my life reign
