Premium Member the refigerator of my dreams

the refrigerator of my dreams features a waterfall
A moving waterfall that greets me when I open her door
She is filled with healthy fruits and vegetables.
They spill out and form an oasis when her door is opened.

She greets me with a pleasing Dinah Shore voice.
Wishes me well, asks about my children, makes me feel special.
I can sit on her rocks and let her waterfall gently flow over my hair.
We commune in silent appreciation, this refrigerator and I.

She holds my secrets inside her soul, revealing them to no one.
We are a terrific team, because we appreciate each other in many ways.
She is empathetic and wonderfully kind. She brings nature into the kitchen.
When I am sad, I open her up and we commiserate together.
She uplifts me and enlightens me. We are pals.

Premium Member Call in Captain McDuck

the fire was just getting started when we phoned it in to the captain’s house
He came running with a badger, a monkey, a chipmunk and a mouse
Can they get it out? Asked the homeowners, anxious indeed about this
Better call in McDuck, said two volunteers – Willie and Wiss

McDuck brought the large fire engine, from Number Nine
He left his feed at the fancy pond restaurant where he dines.
But being the captain, he is used to leaving lots of good feed on a plate.
Weirdly enough, he brought his goody bag, and Dinah, his date.

Premium Member Definite Dinah does not Change Her Mind

Definite Dinah definitely doesn’t change her mind
Ferociously feeling firm in all ideas, she will find
Kids maneuver around her; she is not awfully kind
When she bargains and barters, it is legally bind

We saw Dinah debating where we usually dined
Warning the waiter she almost never will change her mind
He appreciates the heads up; said we were kind.
I notice his palm is unusually magically star-lined.
He is a find, says Dinah, he truly is one of a kind.

Premium Member Soprano Soloist

A distinguished soprano named Dinah
sings arias in North Carolina.
But her favourite thing,
without doubt, is to sing
selections from Handel's Messiah.

With extraordinary vigor and pith
she sings "I Know My Redeemer Liveth".
When she goes to perform
she'll be in fine form
and precisely know how to giveth.

Premium Member Winston Tastes Good

Winston tastes good like a knock knock cigarette should.
See the USA in a Chevrolet, visit Dinah Shore along the way.
But be sure and be toting some Chesterfield Lights.
So we can be sexy and sultry on these winter nights.

The Marlboro Man is waiting just around the next bend.
When you see him, blow some smoke rings up in the wind.
Cigarettes are sensual, and they will make you look Kool.
Have one lit up and ready at all times; it is the 50's cigarette rule!

Fella Show

"Sweet Dinah won't you blow my horn?"
She's in the kitchen shucking corn
And when she hums
The whole world comes
To bless the day when she was born!

Premium Member Dinah Diana

Dearly beloved, we knew she slayed poverty
Inching her way to paint and sketch
Night alone would not feed her passion, she
Answered to no one about her dreams, for
Heaven held stairway anyone could climb.

Day became electric as she stretched
Illuminated passages by her hands,
And landed on rich grounds, fore tilling another
Nothing and no one strayed her from The Source
And now, she's shimmering like stardust in my mind.

(In memory of Pioneer of our family)

Premium Member A Chow Chow Injustice

A sweet Chow Chow called Charleston Dinah
Was court-ordered to go back to China
Told: Leave the U.S.
You made this covid mess!
She arfed: You nut I’m from North Carolina!

A Tuberculoid South Africa Miner

A tuberculoid South African miner
Was lately turned down by fiancée Dinah;
What shall her decision change to also move Mount Sinai,
Her lover part time book binder
To better forget his trusted Prophetess Regina;
Very unlikely now to be a solution finder
For his being further diagnosed with life-threatening angina;
All too inauspicious to not dream of things getting finer
Even if he should clench a lucky visa to China
For nursing back his body progressively getting thinner
Or clinch the more health-protecting job of document signer

Premium Member Golden Oldies

The mellow sounds
of Lawrence Welk
are gone,
Guy Lombardo, too.
I remember when
Johnny Mercer
wrote the hits
and Dinah Shore
sang them true.
Do these names
mean nothing
to you…perhaps
The Beatles are
your cup of tea?
Then think, my friend,
and be not dismayed
for you are nearly
as old as me!

A Wig Is Helping An Untiring Lawbreaker

Growing are the grumbles
By a Gathering of Humbles:
A skyrocketing effort to change an unchanging Dinah,
In figures, now closely chasing the population of China:
The grumbles, a fast succeeding siege against the judge
Now set to hit Justice where it hurts…
The earlier mumbles a saintly grudge
Whose holder unrestrainedly blurts.

A wig is helping an untiring lawbreaker,
Scheming to the wrong guy dump in rancorous jail;
One hell of a faking hostage taker
Juggling with sacred laws and trying to not fail!

Now, it’s an uncannily crappy proceeding,
All the jurors alive to the misleading:
The not guilty to soon watch the outside world from Dark Keyhole
The veritable Child of Judicial Remote Control.

Now, the grumbles are preaching
A second long look at the interpreter,
The earlier mumbles alleging a bewitching
Of the chosen typewriter;
The mumbles also cocksure of a garage
Groaning under the weight of new Toyota Cams
The grumbles amplifying to barrage
Judge’s recent receipts of Justice-perverting big yams.

Strawberries From Fairies

Strawberries From Fairies

In purse know that she always carries,
Some whipped cream with strawberries,
She would make,
Tasty short cake;
She received them from friendly fairies.

The strawberries are flowing here
in Southern Part of North Carolina
and were grown for me by Dinah.

Premium Member Dinah-Mite

Hi
Dinah-mite!
What a doll you are!
Dressed in your purple outfit
With your long blonde hair, you are pretty!
You play in your beach house, or your ski chalet
You can ride your bike, or drive your car
With many outfits to wear
You are such a doll!
Dinah-mite
Hi!
My
Dinah-mite
Are you out to play?
What are you doing today?
I can pose you any way I want.
You’ve given Barbie a run for her money!
However, I say it’s a pity
That you’re not made anymore
A thing of the past
Dinah-mite
Bye!

You’re no longer here
Since nineteen seventy-five
So long, Dinah-mite!

This is a double-odd rictameter with a senryu trailer.
