Angie, you smile at all things in your front,
Envy escapes from what you do possess;
Because You Can't Always Get What You Want,
Your heart just shows humble indebtedness.
I grasp that you are not Under My Thumb,
For you freely form your own decision;
You just Paint It Black or white in outcome,
Because life brings both mirth and depression.
You view that I am not a Tumbling Dice
To be thrown, to land wherever they may;
Even Wild Horses can never devise
A force that can madly drag me away.
You are not as those Honky-Tonk Women
With wild and uninhibited lifestyle;
Nor a Ruby Tuesday to be ruined,
Instead, as Rolling Stones, you are worthwhile.

I'll play your songs then play some more
Until I see you at my door
I'll ask if you would please come in
Then do something I know I can
I'll have you climb into my chair
And once I see you settled there
In front of you, before your eyes
A brand new song I'll then devise
From scratch, no inkling prior to
The only thing I need is you
To make the words and music flow
Effortless, because you know
The subject of my heart's desire
Both makes it snow and lights my fire

I passed the elm at eventide,
Its arms were bare, its breath was wide,
And there beneath the twilight sky
I thought I saw a woman roam.
Her gown was thin as woven mist,
A memory the dark had kissed;
No rustle made, no shadow cast—
She moved as moonlight through the grass.
Do ghosts wear gowns like we once wore,
With hems that brush the oaken floor?
Do buttons cling and silks remain
When souls have slipped the cords of life?
Perhaps they wear what dreams devise—
Not stitched by hand, but born of skies.
A shawl of dusk, a veil of rain,
The hush of snow against the pane.
She turned to me but made no sound,
And yet my heart was loosely bound—
By what, I cannot quite define:
A lace of loss, a thread of time.
If ghosts wear clothes, they must be spun
From things undone, from lives begun.

From ashes of pain, true leaders rise,
Forged in struggle’s unyielding cries.
Yet now, from gilded thrones of greed,
False prophets spawn, with lies they breed.
They weave deceit, a cunning art,
To hijack souls and rend the heart.
Using hired blades and looted dimes,
They buy men to side their evil dreams
Behind a flag, their falsehoods creep,
While nation bleeds and victims weep.
they wear a tearful mask in public to trap
They toast with scorn still pretend saints ,
They preach of pride, to draw borders red,
holding nationalism drawing swords ,
With gods they raise divisive flags,
demanding more blood for their political zigzags.
Their minions sow yet viler lies,
To reap the votes that death devise.
As tears cascade through broken towns,
They laugh on stages holding cruel schemes.

Mid the darkness shallows
Pit across the deepen sights
Blackness circumference barrows
The devise of light
Brilliants though shines
Every bright for you see
The light ever always firms dines
Demises the darkness flees
Light always sparks
As every sparks turns to light
Light ever always shine out bright
Light darkness is over shun

Coat stand tree commingling clan protects
Quilted caterpillar sticks linen to spine
Pine foliage erect points to its apex
Before its born, spire spreads star shine
Swooping swivel neck owl huddles, human eyes
Scan heaven, hook beak hoots transmit signal
For seraphim shifting, shades of dove devise
Butterfly current shaken napkin nimble
Venture from avenues of arrow quivers
Dispell dictating army apostrophes
Barrel roll ballistic, blank space delivers
Delight due outside barracks claustrophobic
Antenna tuned owl throatily purrs
Pleasure for butterfly’s fast learned journey, laughed
Drift under dry angel feathers, breeze spurs
Freedom wish from wizard to aloof aircraft

Twisted Words are they your fears you hold onto
written on your scroll? That you project on me?
Twisted Words robs someone of their joy and
One's character, tend to dig ditches to entangle
someone's growth, control of one's mind? Am I
imagining. Twisted Words
Ruthless beings for whatever reasons they conspire
And question someone on things unknown. They
Slander someone unceasingly. All day long they
twist someone words for ruin. Twisted Words
Their words are like fire flammable attempting to consume
someonelicking these wounds that are trying to break
someone down. Twisted Words
They do not speak peaceable, but devise false accusations. Twisted Words
I would not let them consume my peace of mind, integrity.
I release you, No shame or confusion will I embrace. Twisted Words

Full moons fill you with joy, seldom the New,
And pleasure you conceive as good, not pain,
Let me like New Moon that stars can I view,
As some poets devise ways pain to feign,
Which, helps them pen dirges and elegies,
Funeral hymns and odes of laments long,
Let them. Days-nights on an eternal lease,
One can’t be sans its endless twain on song.
You know, this world is made of dancing duals,
We mortals go for one over the ‘ther,
We tend to choose one of them and fight duels,
The twain though in its dance go together.
So, let us enjoy full moon till it lasts,
Even new moon, you’ll see fair magic casts.
E’en God could not have cast coins single side,
Yea, joy without grief, what a groom-less bride!

Sonnet (tongue-in-cheek) |02.06.06, revised December 2024|
Poet’s note: A couple enjoys its togetherness under full moon, which the lady liked more. The husband also liked the new moon for a reason. He has his reasons to fall in love with both, or none. Finally, the lady sees the point and adds her own additional couplet at the end of their sonnet.

~ Such irony Creation would devise
a mind that holds the secrets Hell conceals.
‘Tis blasphemous that man would improvise
a conduit that prophecy reveals.
‘Tis but a curse to be the chosen one
and know its secrets dwell within your mind
and if unveiled, the world would come undone,
for Revelation bides within design.
‘‘Tis feared requite that shackles fire unbound
as light and darkness seek to set it free.
But in those minds where thoughts of Hell resound,
we pray that reason never turns the key.
The mind of man was destined to unveil
a sentience where evil notions dwell.

I intend on escaping
Devise a plan
I cannot be kept
By my mum, in this pram
Sliding out easy
Her not knowing i can
Feeling my freedom and Joy
As i ran
sounds of my footsteps
Echo and Bang
Mum now behind me
The chase has began

No words shall please my soul,
if not from deep within.
In life we laugh and weep,
as moods with time do spin.
Even a poet does need a flare,
to devise his ringy rhymes.
To sculpt a verse from solid words,
is a masters work, sublime.
When fine words mingle and mix,
with sweet lovely emotions,
a lady’s heart will surely yield,
without showing a notion.
Delightful words do cast a spell,
on people where they stand.
Being a charmer may pay your rent,
to the lady of the land.
No torrent is strong or tough,
to sweep a poets will.
And no drought is harsh enough,
to dry a poets well.
Eloquent words,
soft and smooth,
too far from being absurd.
When spoken loud,
they steal the show,
on every stage and stand.

William Charles Lunalilo
First King, chose by the people
Grandnephew of the Great King, as the people vote, was unanimous
Next year, King Kamehameha the Sixth died of tuberculosis
Hawaiian marriages are coconuts
Apple's eye, orchard nigh--girls uppercuts
Bees concede and confess
Honey is not the best
Lunalilo stings in-laws -- blood and guts.
Pacific divides paradise from lies, pulpit denies, missionary connives, fleece, devise hoax, and shanghais,
The native's supplies for whalers, all dives. At times, pearls for wider eyes, command contrives to control their lives.
Kings II & III foresaw their greed, the lands were a need to wed and achieve access was their way to succeed,
Lunalilo was short-lived, the people he decreed, as past kings agreed, a land trust deed, 'ere his life concedes.

In the liveliest REM stage of his night
Bert beholds an unusual sight.
A troupe of pink elephants sound a trumpet blast
Then stomp united towards the grass.
On the other side, a team of tall strong guys
March to the pitch with focussed eyes.
"I'll be the goalie!' Dan told Bert.
'I'm least likely to get hurt."
Bert referees. His reminder the same,
"The joy's in the play, not winning the game."
At half time, a call is heard from Phil.
"How have the elephants scored two nil?
It's not right. It makes no sense...
Football's not for elephants!"
The guys huddle up and devise a plan
To catch as many mice as they can.
When the teams take position on the green
A commotion begins. A chaotic scene!
The elephants pale to white as a goose
When all the mice have been let loose.
The guys score goals before the mice disappear
The elephants play on, when free from fear.
Bert awakens amazed and confused.
He starts to laugh, feeling quite amused.
He answers the question written on Suzanne's face.
He fills her in on the match that took place.
