Accursed Cursor
The blinking cursor taunts
I know not what it wants
Alone it sits and pleads
I know not what it needs
And yet.....and yet....
My fingers hover
over a keyboard
Aching....longing
for the touch
of a distant lover
lost
not for words
but for passion
not lust
but fire
The cursor winks
come hither
caress me
whisper to me
to us

Flashing Cursor
We are living in a high tech society
This 21st century of man's dwelling on earth
The planet growing smaller
Communication concludes the quest to know the unknown
We speak to people on the farthest latitudes
The people of the jungle, the people of the desert
As we keyboard the computer and read the illuminated screen
While seated by a window that

I dread the pop up ads, and spam
the wasted time to make them scram
the bells and whistles, warning lights
that tell me all my wrongs – and rights.
Thus do I wander cyberspace
looking

Blinking Cursor
Why do you taunt me so?
A hungry hatchling eager to eat from my nest of ideas
An exotic dancer alone on a white stage— taking text for tips
I cannot walk away I am drawn to your blinking body
Hypnotized by the deformed piano key daring me to play suicidal notes of an unknown tragedy
Revived by

That Cursor
Taking those photos
Sunrises, sunsets
Beautiful nature
What sights to see
Download very soon
On the computer
Where they flash across
The screen surprise me
Just like I am there
This morning sunrise
Flashed across the screen
But there that bright dot
Morning star shinning
I don't remember
Taking that picture
Early morning dark
Half-asleep_distance
Let me get closer
No glasses _sleepy eyes
Close enough now
That isn't morning star
It is just that
