the city is ugly dark filthy
how can I get my father?
he is lost my mom says
she gave me birth at 14
I am hungry cold, pie helps
water is filthy too
mom says I want to die
if god says yes, who is he?
who is he my father? is he that god?
I am 10 not that old
mom says I am like my father
she cowers slaps me
funny words brat brat
it sounds cat my little Rex
died last year yellow eyes
sweet he was meek cringer
my friend Linda tattered
frock nutty breath kissed me
touched my yes I puked
no foods rotten guavas
other witches smell bad
weeping scars gloved with mitten
toothless, lousy one was good
gave me a piece of bread one day
now what can I do? where is my father ?
What is father?
city stinks.

HOW TO ALIGN A FINE LINE
Who can resist the pull of such a competition
Where the rules are so clear,
But the topic is like sex in the 60s revolution:
Filled with pitfalls but (yes, it was) - freer
Similar to the Argentine gaucho named Bruno
Who said well there’s one thing I do know
- Slang is fine,
Intentional misspellings are divine,
But a llama is numero uno.
And whose “who’s” is in question? Not mine!
Hey, they’re writing “their” over there
When it oughta be “they’re”.. . . Ok, Fine!
The effect of all this is to affect my degree of care
(And to effect a change in all poets, I hope).
Since mine is not a KNOCK-OUT of a poem
And I am certainly no dope
Nor am I a gnome from Nome or even Chomsky Noam
I hesitate to use the non-existent
Cringer word “irregardless” regardless
Of the consequences extant,
Or in future years countless.

For Nancy Jones’s Contest “Fine Line”
Being an Aries woman, I enjoy freedom
To follow my hobbies, have little changes now
And again, let life get me down very seldom
Somehow through my birth date optimism endow
Could this Zodiac Astrology chart be right
It list enthusiastic as one of my strengths
Maybe really don't understand my inner light
Possibly something along way broke my wave length
Courageous is on list as one of my strengths
A person with mind or spirit to face danger
Or difficulty without fear, could this be right
Don't see myself as this but a cringer
Maybe one-half of the strenghts correct good
Work on the other half to line up I should

Who is your master miss lady grey?
Into green field your hoe is sinking,
Then, it comes a smile somewhat stray
To turn on for good a light blinking,
To freshen values bound and shrinking,
-These years asked for a desparity-
And there was no time for rethinking,
Before the end there's sometimes clarity.
So, where is your master lady grey?
Again you start your cringer winking!
But you did take the villein one day
And the next with the squire you're sleeping.
Romance from your eyes wild was seeping
-You then needed some disparity-
Because your tedium was heaping,
Before the end there's sometimes clarity.
In his service all those years you stay,
Yet, next to another you're sleeping
You even gave birth to a child stray,
Living a love with past not linking,
Fooling all and secretely weeping.
How explain such similarity?
Your son will find out, you are thinking
Before the end there's sometimes clarity.
Lady, what secrets are you keeping?
Each story should own its rarity.
You know, even if mind is slipping,
Before the end there's sometimes clarity.
NINJA CAT
Zoph was two people not the same
Daughter’s darling, harmless, even to mice.
Schitzophrenia was his middle name;
And out in Zophland not too nice.
Her cat relaxed, stretched, purred
Front paws on her lap, free,
Poured himself on the sofa unstirred
Gently kneading along her knee.
Who dared to enter Zophland at night?
Neighbour’s cat, a ginger cringer:
Cat howls whined before the fight
Zoph struck with speed of Ninja.
Ginger backed off and ran
Better part of valour.
Ruining the cringer’s plan,
Zoph chased off his frightened pallour.
Milk now and then more sofa -
Daughter's knee and purr again.
The challenge to his land is over
Zoph’s two kingdoms are his to reign.
