I could use a little magic tonight
some sorcerer to sympathize
and with his kind arcane words
conjure a spark so I may finally
find my way to some lovely land
lucent with Panglossian light
after doleful decades stumbling
solitary and blind in the bitterly
brumal dark fearing with each
step I will fall and fail to rise
do you know how to conjure a turtle? asked the snot.
Wonderful Winnifred Witch was unsure, but she tried.
A fat spotted frog jumped out of her pot.
Ran under her china cupboard to hide.
Next she conjured a snake, who slithered away.
Maybe it’s not my time, my task, or my day?
Winnifred gave her cauldron and spell book another try.
This time conjuring a happy glob, who would not let her cry.
I really like this happy glob, she thought, he makes me happy.
You are insane, said her familiar, a scroungy crow named Nappy.
She gave him his freedom. He gave her a feather and a nod.
She was joyful now because she had her happy blob.
My great aunt could conjure fire skulls the child reported.
Can you do that? Can you do that?
The visiting neighbor did not know.
She had never tried it and did not know what a fire skull was.
I doubt it, she replied.
Knowing it is difficult to visualize something
when you do not know what it is.
Christmas crazies conjure confections in candy kisses.
Wee whimsical winter warlock wistfully wishes
Dreamy darling dolly deliberately does dishes,
Fluidly forever fixing finest fluorescent fishes.
Seasoned sassiness scoring subtly in swishes.

In a flash fit
Conjure grand wit
Words spring a trap
A fitting map
Words echo loss
In turn and toss
Just mind the gaps
In leaking tap
If you must know
Forfeit lame show
Just learn to be
Not what you see
If all things fail
Let truth lift veil
Your journey here
Is not of fear
Love calls to you
To play your dues
Craft words that tint
Joy in full mint
Love anchors each
To a grand reach
If you must know
Love is the show
All that you give
Now helps you live
Conjure your dream
Live happy streams
All else is nil
Except your zeal

Wherever you are
I conjure thee
No matter how far
Love…love…love…
Whoever you are
I conjure thee
To bring me a star
You conjure a smile,
Fragrant in my heart,
Elegant in my mind.
A beauty in my soul.
Whether eyes closed
Or mind asleep
I can see your face
Breath in your scent
Hear your voice.
When our minds meet
My head goes on overload
I feel new emotions
I never felt possible.
When our eyes meet
My heart swells
So full, so alive
And I know I’ve found
My parallel.
