Sundown splendor
on colorburst sky,
horizon holds the pallet,
twilight brush paints
on landscape undulating,
golden gleam superposed
by darkening shades of grey
on spreading shroud of silence,
as strata of diaphanous night fall
one after another.
The painting completed
by nature’s master strokes
in conformable artistic sequence,
spectral grandeur of stillness
transferred on the canvas,
color by color compliant,
layer on layer consistent,
creating a Monet.

There is a distinctive odor in the air...
and I am making myself scarce
All are in a state of repose with anticipation,
but mine is with distaste and finality.
Inevitably it cannot be shunned.
Oh please....how can I withstand them?
So far away, where the wind doesn’t blow.
Like an unfavorable perfume, the hound flees.
He seems to be the only one who understands me.
In total frustration we howl in unison.
Where is an end adjacent to this grievous affliction...
The only solution to solving the problem of
grandma’s ‘chitlin’ feasts’, seems to be disporting in the forest
with the allegiance of my conformable friend, the hound.

Most do not know how good we've got it.
We live day by day,
in our shiny cars and fancy houses.
Take out and drive through, clean water,
central heat and air, keep us conformable year round,
Egyptian cotton, goose down, hot showers
and clean clothes.
A daily chore? A lifetime of luxury?
Being here, I see it all.
Two dark eyes peeking out between her shoulder blades
all snug and warm
Mamma's rhythm of work, her lullaby.
Immense baskets of goods
defly atop their heads.
No mini vans needed here.
Barefoot children playing in the mud.
Blissful poverty.
An hour long journey, both ways to too few schools,
happy just to learn
Men toiling the countryside
churning acres a day
their only tool, a spade.
We spoiled many.
Most don't understand
just how it is.

What a man can achieve?
What a man can learn?
Everyone has participation
Into a different direction
But all are running a race
Accidentally or luckily,
Having a meeting with new faces
Fresh introduction
Always a learning process
Pointing out a healthy distance
Measuring the needs
Growing a wide range of appetite
Conformable and comfortable
A dream of beauty
A dream about satisfaction
A pride on achievement
A banishment of neglects,
But a life can do
It is a story of warm blood.
Sex grows in everybody
Sex is only a power
That identifies a hidden beauty
And woos a fragmented desire
A desire of living
A desire of enjoyment
A desire of progress and prosperity
A desire of goodness
Until a hope is alive
A life feels its livingness
A motive for aliveness,
What is a Life?
A limited period for living,
An explanation of needs
An achievement of supplies
Significant terms of spending
Can identify
In past, present and furute.
