The Brush of Twilight
Sundown splendor
on colorburst sky,
horizon holds the pallet,
twilight brush paints
on landscape undulating,
golden gleam superposed
by darkening shades of grey
on spreading shroud of silence,
as strata of diaphanous night fall
one after another.
The painting completed
by nature’s master strokes
in conformable artistic sequence,
spectral grandeur of stillness
transferred on the canvas,
color by color compliant,
layer on layer consistent,
creating a Monet.
