Cynthia Kwiecinski and Suzanne Colby
You've broken every rule of civility
With the execrable decision you made recently

You withdrew a job offer from a school superintendent
for addressing you as 'Ladies' in an acceptance email
You claim the term constitutes a micro-aggression'
But it's you abominations who have disgraced your profession

The superintendent-to-be meant to compliment you
But you two sows couldn't see that for the cud that you chew
I have much more to say, but come what may ~
You deserve to chew CRUD for the rest of your days

New Offspring

Does your writing dance above the words
or somewhere down below

Do voices borrowed and feelings loaned,
occlude your diction’s flow

Do phrases couple and stanzas mesh,
in new harmonic forms

Does music waltz proudly from page to page
—to score new lyrics born

You Didn'T Hear It From Me

Through the door, Uncle Ben came in
Of course he is Aunt Sue's honey
Years ago, she dropped Sloppy Joe
And not just because of money!

They brought with them, their Baby Ruth
Upstairs is her real Papa, John
Notice how Ginger snaps at all,
It's not Shirley Temple she's on!

Now you didn't hear it from me
But stay clear of Betty Crocker
She will Chuck steak, and hit your head
Some say that she's off her rocker!

Have you seen Colby Jack a car?
And from his wife, hostility!
It's not nice that Rosemary spice,
But you didn't hear it from me!

What If

What if the moon was made of cheese,
And astronauts were mice?
They'd eat their way through Danish Blue,
And Colby by the slice.
They'd place it on their crackers.
They'd spread it on their bread.
They'd grate it on spaghetti.
They'd eat it in their bed!

If the moon was made of cheese,
And astronauts were mice,
They still would have to do their work,
Perfect and precise.
The scientists at NASA
Would really like to know
If there is water on the moon,
Or maybe ice, or snow.

If the moon was made of cheese,
And astronauts were mice,
Every time that NASA called,
They'd let the phone ring twice.
They'd sit there in the spaceship.
On cheddar they'd be lunching,
While scientists at NASA hear
A lot of heavy munching.

If the moon was made of cheese,
And astronauts were mice,
We'd have to give the NASA boys
Some fatherly advice:
"Bring those little astronauts
Back before the dawn,
Or you may look outside to see
The moon is almost gone!"

Beat some eggs with garlic oil
Salt and Colby cheese
Add some basil and mushrooms
A flaky pie crust
Pour mix in crust; bake
Until done
Um!

The Joy I'M Without

I walked with Colby,
  he never walked with me

His spirit to guide us,
  his love in the lead

We circled the globe
  a time and a half

His tail was my compass
  to guide us steadfast

In all kinds of weather
  we stuck to the trail

Under sunshine and rain
  our forays prevailed

In May of last year
  he collapsed on our walk

And with valor he tried
  but his body would balk

Its been downhill since then
  with him not knowing why

The knowing inside me
  his neuropathy slide

I knew it was coming
  as he struggled to stay

And he fought till the end
  on this very sad day

As I looked in his eyes
  for the last final time

Willing to give up my life
  for his health to revive

The fates were against us
  his clock had run out

The pain in his parting
  —the joy I’m without

Warm weather this year is approaching slowly
By now we should be sweating to the golden oldies
Such as it is
That's show biz
Don't know about you but my favourite cheese is colby

Well it rhymes doesn't it!!!

In this Generation,
Society is so far gone with the likes of sex, drugs, partying and alcohol,
It’s like we’re in Another World.
With only One to Life to live,
It’s amazing how much we don’t realize the contributions we can give
You see,
Not everyone can be a Colby or own a farm on Dallas,
Wear a Falcon’s Crest living in a palace,
Cause as the World Turns, the atmosphere burns,
From Port Charles to the General Hospital,
Surfing Sunset Beach- how tropical?
But during the Days of Our lives,
I’d do anything for All My Children,
Hopefully one day like the upper echelon of society,
We become our own Dynasty.
There needs to be a Guiding Light to shine on the Young and the Restless
to have a better understanding of how the Bold and the Beautiful make their way through
 a roomful of branding,
All while securing our own future with gold from Knots Landing

A Frail Friend

Little did I know as I baked my afternoon cherry pie
That I would spy a tiny little mouse lazying around the window seal
He was tiny and gray peculiar I'd say.
I watched his nose dart swiftly in search of a meal.

I was fascinated that such a tiny creature could run so fast
His legs carried him swiftly down the ledge and onto the ground
His little tail behind him flew past
I leaned over and heard a squeaky sound.

I jarred the window open quickly and listened for the noise I had heard
I heard it not once but twice a little 'squeak squeak' then it went quite
I worried to myself as I baked my pie that the mouse would be lunch for a bird.
I was scared he would become part of a large animals diet.

I shut the window and returned to my pie
I wondered if I would see more of my visitor after I left him a snack
I searched through the refrigerator practically playing I spy.
Aah Ha a treat for my friend, a good old piece of Colby Jack.
