Truth, justice and the American way…*

Back up to Pilate

“What is truth?”

If you can question it

than you can let go of it

An honest answer

forbidden, revoked, crucified

Who is truth -

the better question

His words stationed

before, during, and after the cross

a divine human being

has a way with words

clarifications not needed

where common sense prevails

He made them male and female

with corresponding body parts

gave women

the gift of carrying

the most precious thing on earth

Mary would tell the truth

Politicians pervert the truth

Pilate washed his hands of the truth

Where does America stand?

Praying hands

or idle idolatry

looking away from the cursèd tree

distaining Ripley

choosing

to believe not

what your eyes see

as straightforward

what they’ve always seen

from the beginning

Is this how we know it’s the end?

Race

Blames and allegations
Conceited self-admiration
Habitual fabrications
Never ending Justifications
Maligning reputations
Backbiting and deceptions
Derogatory manifestations
Avoiding responsibilities, remembering dispensations
Friendships and betrayals
Unjustified humiliations
Killing exasperations
………………………..
This needs proper clarifications
We need moral and ethical upgradation
Focus and proper determination
Instead of shortcuts and distractions
This world is one and we have beautiful relations
Empathising and developing patience
What we are is our creation
Education inspires aspiration
Life is a pledge, we are not on vacation
Race is not just about directions

The Treasure Within

There is this pearl of a treasure that I longed to find
Entombed inside the cobweb of my human mind
My automated eyes have conceited to the ways of the world
Frankly, I have doomed myself to the sins of the old

There is wisdom in clarifications; that I’ve yearned to see
That I’ve even questioned my lawful genetics to my own humanity
And my reflections has spoken with so many different things
It rumbles and tumbles down through the puniest end of a string

There is a lot to be said when one knows not what to do
Running around in circles over the things I never knew
But the pathways have been paved and the seed has been sowed
So it just amounts to discovering as to how much I’ve truly owed

And so I found myself at the end, where journey was just beginning
Faced to face with my soul and both of us just decided on digging
To my surprise, the treasure was real and it was always there all along
I just needed to open my heart, to see, the kingdom where I belong

Limerick: Once an-Other Anchor-Woman at Sea Anne-Anne

Once an’ Anchor-Woman at Sea Anne-Anne
Slipped tongue into a Black Hole’s butt end
She came out Parallel
In multi-Verse pell-mell
Now she reads sweN at aeS (Ace) ennA-N*.

•	For the general knowledge of readers of this limerick, humble clarifications are offered here. The capital letters: A, H, I, M, N, O, T, U, V, W, X, and Y are used without any visible change in the alphabet of our own Parallel Universe where – as everybody knows – Time regresses from Future to Past, i.e., e.g. say, from being “well-satiated” to being “hungry” and back forth. Here, even though “N” is written as “N”, the pronunciation is unwaveringly: “nE”. For more detailed explanations regarding the rules of prosody in our Parallel Uni-Verse, s’il vous plait, address your queries to Yours Truly at his address in Multi-Verse.
                                                 Merci Beaucoup!

Incineration of Love God Madan Cupid 16

Incineration of Love God Madan (Cupid) 16
Originally written in Hindi by my late father Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor
1899 to 1994. The work was written in Hindi somewhere around 1965-70.

Editing and English version by Ravindra K Kapoor.

Hindi Title ‘Madan Dahan’

Born out of delusion,
And brought up by illusion,
Tutored by evil treachery,
This devil is indecorous.

He would surely destroy,
All pretty creations of God,
If he is saved from the stroke,
Of penance at this moment.

He was living in human form,
As intoxicated sinner of Earth,
Ego had degraded him,
And death brought him nearer.

Proud entered in Cupid's mind

Cupid would remain unsatisfied,
With world’s sensuous pleasures,
Passion had brought him here,
On the evil path of destruction.

Deprived Cupid* could not bear,
This lonely meditation,
Far from the common reach,
Amid the high snow peaks.

Thoughts emerging in Shanker's mind

How his weak human beings,
Would be able to save the society,
And respect and honor in life,
From the degraded sin provokers.

Peacocks began to show their colors,
In their lascivious dance of passion,
And Cuckoo’s song began to resound,
Creating disturbance in Shiva’s penance.

Rati his wife of unique beauty, too,
Began her wonderful dance and song,
In tune, with the spring in full bloom,
Disturbing Shanker* in deep meditation.

Under the grab of such flowing charms,
Cupid began to hypnotize the Yogi*,
The cover was of the bewitching charms,
To Break his penance in command.

Hindi name ‘Madan Dahan’

Being unable to put influence,
On the stupid dry meditation of Shiva*,
Cupid thought that even the goddess of delusion,
Too would be defeated without any influence.

I shall be called the destroyer,
Of my mother’s honor and power,
And shall always remain defeated,
By this inhuman meditation.

Power would leave me alone then,
Destroying my domination over all,
My existence would disappear forever,
From my own dominated Earth.

Hot Spells

With the onset of summer
there's a calendar of events.
a time to go somewhere
a time to enjoy the weather.

Like in human relationship
there's a hodge-podge of events,
encounters, discussions or clarifications;
They are bits and pieces of life.

Leafy trees surround the island
with lovely flowers on the horizon.
a delight to the beholders
who appreciate God's nature.

A recurring motif each year
where a human person takes the center
to see and enjoy the season
like an authentic slice of motherland.

A fine reason to promote
and celebrate with others.
The gift of life and season
that keeps us going and wonder.

Sinking Rationality

Quicken my perception with your poetic prophecies
Preach with persuasion, until your theories are believed

Mixed me in the mortar of your mental monument,
Illuminate my psyche with your divine enlightenment

Chronicle your intelligences onto my solemn scrolls
Let me read you like a mystery and watch the plot unfold

Speak to me in riddles and watch me crack your codes
Light the fuse to my confusion and feel it explode

Brand my brain with the force of your profound conviction
Explain to me your logic, dissecting fact from fiction.

Take me to a higher level while my knowledge elevates
Deadlocked in your insight; no way to escape

Engrave your explanations into my wild imagination
Revive my unawareness with your clarifications

Submerge me in your subconscious until I fathom your meaning
Intuition knowing, growing, over flowing in your reasoning

Drown me in the seas of your possibilities
Fill me with your brilliance beyond my capacity

Manipulate my mind and reposition my thinking
Throw me a life preserve; my rationality‘s sinking

A Person In Love

A person is in love,
When he desires expectations,
And reflects on his vision,
He never expects someone may having fool,
That never has understanding.
Or never tried to understand,
Because he always was normal,
He never believed that a matter is serious,
That can harm someone.

A person is in love,
When he dreams someone will care for him,
He will appreciate his dedications,
And he will encourage doing some extra,
For someone’s relaxation,
Where a person will present a gift,
A humble invitation,
For unimagined a prompt success.

A person is in love,
When he examines the excuses,
And counts the moment,
And feels someone’s absent,
And assembles techniques for clarifications,
To investigate the cause of delay.

A person is in love,
When he pretends
Someone insults him,
And he reminds his deeds,
And felt shame on him for unhappiness,
And feels for reward, that is a lesson,
Where a person appetites for love.
And repents for his crackings.
And blames for his unnoticed memories,
And spends his life for unsuccessful remarks.
