Incineration of Love God Madan (Cupid) 13 Originally written in Hindi by my late father Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor 1899 to 1994. The work was written in Hindi somewhere around 1965-70. Editing and English version by Ravindra K Kapoor. Hindi Title ‘Madan Dahan’ Peacocks began to show their colors, In their lascivious dance of passion, And Cuckoo’s song began to resound, Creating disturbance in Shiva’s penance. Rati his wife of unique beauty, too, Began her wonderful dance and song, In tune, with the spring in full bloom, Disturbing Shanker* in deep meditation. Under the grab of such flowing charms, Cupid began to hypnotize the Yogi*, The cover was of the bewitching charms, To Break his penance in command.
