Sugar’s First Big Adventure

Sugar was my very first pup,
With floppy ears and a tail stuck up.
Eyes so wide, full of delight,
Chasing sunbeams morning to night.

We ran through fields, just her and me,
Barking at clouds, wild and free.
She’d dig up secrets in the yard,
Then zoom around, a tiny guard.

She loved the breeze, the muddy streams,
And napping deep in dandelion dreams.
A heart so big, her joy so loud,
My best friend—I was so proud.

Through woods we wandered, side by side,
She'd sniff the trails where squirrels would hide.
Every stick was treasure found,
Every puddle her stomping ground.

But more than all the fun and play,
Was how she loved me every day.
Her warm little body curled in bed,
Her soft sighs near my sleepy head.

Sugar, my first, my brave little soul,
Filled the cracks, made my young heart whole.
An adventure, a gift, wrapped in fur—
A lifetime of love, because of her.

Lulu

Oh, Lulu, small but full of might
A ball of joy, my heart's delight
With tiny paws and ears so grand
You rule my home with soft command

Your playful barks, your dancing feet,
The way you curl up warm and sweet.
Big brown eyes that shine so bright
A spark of love, pure golden light.

Through every day, through every storm,
Your little heart beats soft and warm.
A fearless soul in such a size,
My dearest friend, my greatest prize

So here's to you, my precious girl
My tiny queen, my shining pearl.
Forever loved, forever true
My darling Lulu, this if for you.

Stoned Chihuahua

I'm baked
I'm baked
One toke is all it taked.

A Chow Chow-Chihuahua

An impish chow chow-chihuahua mix
is again up to his old nasty tricks
Orange fluffy and small
people think it’s a doll
Then he’ll yap-yap-yap-yap just for kicks

More Beautiful Than Pogs

In the world's biggest collection
of pogs, there is not one pog
As beautiful as my dog
Nor has there ever been a hog
As beautiful as my dog
Nor e'er a frog upon its log
Not even its youngest pollywog
As comely as my dog.

And so I make my dog eggnog
I write about her in my blog
I take her with me when I jog
Drunk on grog, all agog,
Lost in fog, slipped a cog,
I snuck into the synagogue
With my beautiful dog.

My Baby Doll - Part V

Sadly, your existence ended eighteen months ago.
On July 11, 2020, you would have no tomorrow.
You were a very pretty dog with brown fur.
You died and it certainly was hard to endure.
Your life ended a year and a half ago today.
It was very sad to learn that you passed away.
I bought another Chihuahua to ease my suffering but not to replace you.
You were one in a million and you can't be replaced, that's certainly true.
It's truly sad to know that you no longer exist.
You were my baby doll and you have been missed.

My Baby Doll - Part Iv

You were like a daughter to me and I was like a dad.
Your death was heart-breaking because it was so bad.
I got the idea to call you my baby doll because that was what Mom called her cat.
In August of 2013, my house became your new home and that's where you died at.

It has been one year since you died.
You were a great dog and that can't be denied.
I found you dead in my kitchen at about ten o'clock.
I would've rather had my head bashed in by a rock.

I was very upset and I knew that I wouldn't get any sleep so I stayed up most of the night.
I buried you the next morning and I'm sure that other pet owners can understand my plight.
When a person has a pet that's as special as you, it is sure to please.
I'll never forget you even if I live to be 100 and have Alzheimer's Disease.

Sweetie Pie - Part Ii

If somebody says that I don't care about my dog, it will be a lie.
On August 18, 2020, I bought my new dog and she's my Sweetie Pie.
She loves to lick my cheeks and my chin.
Hazel loves to lick me over and over again.
Hazel was what her former owner decided to name her.
She is very protective, she always barks at strangers.
I was very scared because Hazel became sick and I thought she might die.
But a vet saved her life and I'm very happy that I didn't lose my Sweetie Pie.

Chased by a Chihuahua by Radrook [ A childhood memory.]


O little Chihuahua so tiny but fierce,

why did you provide me with memory of fear?

Why must I recall you, pursuing galore, 

until I could almost evade you no more?


How did I deserve all your bitterest ire? 

Your rampaging anger, your hatred entire?

Could you not control all your fierceness just once?

and let me retire by luck or by chance?


Why did you continue a hunting me down,

and make me appear like a scared circus clown,

with eyeballs a bulging from out off my face,

and a heart that was pounding in utter disgrace?


Why not just permit me to go waltzing by

and rather go chasing some other quaint guy?

Why did I deserve that you come after me

so furiously fast and so persistently?


Oh little chihuahua so ready to bite,

with little dog body, so ready to fight

Why not let me pass? Why not let me be?

Why did you decide to begin hunting me?

Yappy ball of fur
A cuddly little land shark 
Please stop biting me


A little haiku about my mother’s dog :)

Chihuahua

Mr Chi they call me
I'm the boss you see

I maybe small 
But I feel 10 feet tall

I sleep all day and night too
Every little noise I'll alert you 

Hear that cat a mile away
Love to chase it and play

Other dogs how dare they be 
I'm a proper dog can't they see

Internal clock says it's walkies time 
Nose is ready to smell things devine

Love my food could eat all day
Overweight, I heard the vet say

Love my mum to bits
Protect and guard her wherever she sits

I'm a little stubborn so they say
Only do things my way

Tummy tickles my favourite thing
Doggy heaven it sends me in

Biggest bark you will ever hear
O yes did I say I like beer 

I'm a Chihuahua through and through 
Loving, loyal, and playful too

Back to sleep it's been a while
Mr Chi will make you smile

Thing's I Say That Make My Chihuahua Happy

Oh my pretty Tsuki
Tsuki-tsuki-tsoo
Aren't you a beautiful doggy?
You'd make a lovely sandwich!
Eat you on a toasted sourdough bun,
Yes I will. Yes I will.
I love you so much, kissy kissy,
Snuggle snuggle
Wouldn't you like me to
Roast you on a spit?
Bite a hole in your belly and
Suck your insides out!
Moose fart! PLPLPLPL!!
Such a lovely, lovely girl
You'd make the perfect pot roast
Or a mince pie, you're such a sweety,
Eat you, eat you up, nom nom nom.

Bernard My Chihuahua

My little Chihuahua is such a guard

couldn't keep him barred on our side of the yard

troublesome and never shy

yaps at every passerby

Ah, chihuahua! Why? My little Bernard.


Since he keeps escaping, contrived a plan, 

reluctant, under his harness I ran

horizontal a wood spoon

A distraught whirling typhoon 

trying to get through the fence to the man

Wispy as air, white his hair, and scary
Like a ghost he'd appear
