I told the nurse
I swallowed a snake.
He charted: religious mania.
But I felt her—
three and a half turns
sleeping
just south of the back
of my clavicle.
I called her Vera
then,
full breath
pried me open.
Fire-rising,
slithering:
it was gospel
sliding
down my vertebrae—
a ladder
Jacob had forgotten—
yea and behold though
we came
back for it.
I couldn’t stop laughing.
Or crying.
Or saying
I saw light in the colorless
rooms
outside
understanding.
When I explained, again,
how god comes
in my root,
propels
herself through
my expanded
throat
chakra,
they were furious—
branded me
inpatient,
wrapped my wrists,
ordered more
Thorazine.
They don’t let me
sit cross-legged,
say my mantra
disturbs
the others.
Just between
you and me
this energy wall
crumbling, this crux
of second comings,
this fifth horseman—
is a woman re-forming
initiation:
an apocalypse
finally
worth the animal
salt-sweat
hump
it took to get it
going.

Madness to the Method
It did not come from mode of method,
nor from the charted mind.
But sprung from a will-o'-the-wisp
spark in the blind spot shadow,
of the brain, disentangled and drifting.
The idea slipped in sideways,
from the periphery of focus,
when attention was distracted,
by the flit of eyes glancing,
in other ways on other days,
For the more you look,
the less likely you are to see,
the brilliant gems lying
invisible to naked eyes,
blinded by the wont-of-desire
for discovery, to stare intensely
at the target, and not look away.
But, it takes a touch of madness,
to notice strange occurrences,
in the clutter and debris of
random observations falling
like ticker-tape from
still-born mode-of-method showers,
of collected failures-to-disprove.
It takes the madness of
serendipity for one
to take potluck picks
in the box of tricks
smart minds often miss,
to pick winners
with happenstance.

Tyranny wears no single face—
it dances in silk and iron,
in laughter rippling through marble halls,
in jeweled cups brimming with poison.
Here stand five shadows cloaked in power:
the Jade Empress who penned her conquests in ink of blood;
the Blood Countess who bathed in youth’s final heartbeat;
the Poison Queen whose roses wilted on royal lips;
the Thorned Mother sculpting her son into a golden idol of death;
the Icon-Breaker who crushed faith beneath her boot.
They moved like vultures through court and corridor,
each step a measured echo of shattered lives.
Their eyes—cold maps of ambition—
charted the fall of poets, princes, innocents.
Their hands—delicate arbiters of suffering—
wrote edicts that carved screams into walls.
Remember: cruelty is not a garment stitched by men alone.
It blooms wherever power dreams of itself
and drinks deep from the wells of mercy’s undoing.

Imagine it today
a rag-tag procession
two-three million souls
advancing northward
Mt. Sinai their goal
A bearded prophet
leading the way
leaning on the staff
he waved yesterday
When lice swarmed down, locusts, hail
Egyptian first-born at midnight dead
Pharaoh sent forth a wail
his subjects in mortal dread
Israel reached the Sea
her joy turned wary
trapped ‘tween it
and Pharaoh’s pursuing army
Then brave Nachshon
of Yehuda’s tribe
walked into the waves
setting the vibe
The waves parted
the sea split
Their path charted
Israel passed through...
You may not believe me
~ but I was there too

When the trust busts
in to your village
Driving the lunatics
in shackles
Times must be goin'
out of print
Old Hearst's Castle
isn't any good for
climbing
Seeing the waves of
rocket fuel
reminds the Church epiphany
that 8th grade is over
So the western fleet
sends out a graduate team
And recruits for the labor wards
Used to come by the name
of Montgomery
Seas are Charted for a Reason My Dears
Why is how you got to me
I am a Labor Warden
and relocating dreams
is what God himself
won't let me go without
A new calling and bread
will we discover
Corrections and Bibliacians,
In the Yonders
Hurry now, don't budge there
room for everyone on the movie bus
We just, and we head
the way the work lets us
That's how corrections
work in Hitlers kitchen
You been in the purse strings
way too long
this country hears about things like you
Sends a special not to a guy like me
and my soldiers come to take you back home
We are recipe kings of the south
and kitchen protectors of the north
Hi time to get ourselves a career
I dare not say how time flew your coup
but out here in god's county, no de 'tats please

I wrote me a book
I wrote it all down
Every single word
That dressed me a clown
I charted me a map
I charted statements of fear
Every single action committed
Leading to the -X-, right here
~MY HEART~
Boom...BOOM, BOOM
I can hear the native drum, beat
Every sound, sending away
Creative energy running to defeat
.............Shr...ink...ing.....back
You can not be, they said
You are certainly not that
No one will even consider
YOU...on a PLAT...form
Saying a WORD of meaning
Such ideas are too high
For those as lowly as you
Give them to me
And I will take them for a ride
Doing more than others could do
....oh, I will mention your name
Today, my little thieves
It is time for you to retreat
Into caves and graves
I know WHO I AM
And my gift is free
With responsibility
To bring forth the gift LOVE gave
I will SPEAK TRUTH

Into the cracks of a scripted mind
You will find what lies beyond
It's a collection of misguided thoughts
An a illusion of what was
A charted journey laid out by an unreachable goal
To be accepted for this accepted for me
This reflection of insecurities and unfortunate events
This play in my head
This opera of pain Still screams today
Where's the inspiration in all of this
Right here in my grasps
Less guarded now older still
I search for retribution to an unworthy cause
It takes me back to childhood dreams
Fountains of youth forever full
But yet still not calm
I freefall through my regrets
No solid landing ahead
I seem to be in mobile in a journey filled life
It's hard to comprehend all that I have done
To become this a shadow of what could be
Love is there love is ready but that anchor doesn't let my ship sail
I wish to be free of this worry
This realization that sometimes life can go on
If I just let myself doubt go
The wind knows the course
I just need to trust the direction.

Ancient maps,
streaked with stars,
charted paths unknown.
But oceans are vast,
a whispered warning:
the world too wide.
Stars explode,
a symphony of light,
a universe in flux.
But what is hidden
behind that cosmic cloud?
Our minds yearned,
but our vision blurred.
Humanity delves,
with sharpened minds,
seeking to unlock
nature's hidden code.
Yet the universe
whispers in quanta:
a mystery endures.
Concrete canyons
climb for the heavens,
our aspirations are vast.
Yet, the earth gasps,
her lungs constricted,
our impact lingers.
Our minds reach,
but grasp at phantoms,
caught in the cycle.
To create and destroy,
then recreate,
the endless dance.
To see ourselves
in the starry void,
is to recognize,
both vast potential,
and finite flaws.
For even stars
have a final burn.
We are creatures
of yearning and longing,
ever searching,
forever bound,
to the dance of the universe.

To defeat me,
an emotion he created.
I rose above it
undeterred and elated.
Then, he declared me cold
and hard- hearted.
Yet in my strength
I felt just as charted.

Quote: Know your value. Confidence breeds success. Act like the person you want to become, and people will start seeing you as that person.
Mark M Ford
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those who embrace, avid ambitions of heart,
To them shall the reigns of future belong;
From charted path of passion, they never part
For earnest is the promise treasured for long.
O, how they strive, aiming for heavenly skies,
Flexing audaciously to conquer higher highs,
Fixated on life’s goals with purposeful eyes,
Focused mindfully, primed to win the prize.
On might of confidence when achievers roar,
On strength of willpower their dreams soar
Employing fortitude resolutely brought to fore,
Sailing to shores, dreamt in travails of yore.
Glumness they defy of shroud and sorrow,
Planting seeds of hope in despair of woes,
Aspiring bright horizons on dawns of morrow
Overcoming hapless shadows cast in throes.
O, the doers and believers instinctively know,
Hurdled with failures is the road to success,
As they drive dreary nights to mornings aglow,
Fueled by aspirations, dreams revered possess.

astronomers often describe
the path of their heavenly ride
far off in the distant night sky
defining what's higher than high
luminous wavelength emitters
heavenly hosts all aglitter
lost in gravitational trance
each dancing unique cosmic dance
charted starlight guiding the way
for ships sailing from bay to bay
Polaris, bright northerly guide
let Vikings plunder far and wide
bored dreamers plotted vague outlines
of gods sending out godly signs
marching celestial civilians
filling up space in the trillions
worshiped by ancient Egyptians
forger of earthly existence
ubiquitous light in darkness
warmth amid bitter cold harshness
no need for divine directive
only eclipsed by perspective
center of systems of being
without stars life's not worth seeing

He was a legend of his time
He sang too many songs that rhyme
He charted feats, though came unknown
He wrote some great tales of his own
He charmed some hearts with his gold voice
Although some songs were not his choice
In lonely hearts, he brought smiles
And bright hopes that could go for miles
But then he passed, so suddenly
With angels singing gracefully
The great voice that once called some grace
Made final rest in God's embrace
But in this world, he made a mark
He made a glow with his spark
His precious mem'ries came to stay
In glorious hours of night and day
He was a legend in his own way
He shed his light in night and day
Though, in the hearts that saw his shine
His tale was bittersweet like wine

Set sail on an ocean,
An unknown sea,
At times adrift, unknown destination,
No compass or charts to see.
No return to original harbor
I must sail on,
Perilous to halt, cannot anchor
In this ship not chosen.
Yet I am Captain,
And crew, and then
First Mate,
Navigator and Helmsman.
Still there are lighthouse beacons
On which I rely and depend,
And fleets I seek to join
To find my way on.
To avoid sinking in my cosmic trip
Or being forever lost at sea,
Becoming a ghost ship,
Afloat, but adrift, only me.
To sail the world as a luxury cruise
Or a warship from one battle to the next,
Decided at time of launch in Destiny’s plan
For what storms and ships will be seen on this voyage of man.
This fateful voyage
Is, of course, my life.
The charted course of this passage,
I, the captain, will sail through storms or strife.
