LEGEND

He was a legend of his time He sang too many songs that rhyme He charted feats, though came unknown He wrote some great tales of his own He charmed some hearts with his gold voice Although some songs were not his choice In lonely hearts, he brought smiles And bright hopes that could go for miles But then he passed, so suddenly With angels singing gracefully The great voice that once called some grace Made final rest in God's embrace But in this world, he made a mark He made a glow with his spark His precious mem'ries came to stay In glorious hours of night and day He was a legend in his own way He shed his light in night and day Though, in the hearts that saw his shine His tale was bittersweet like wine Legend poetry contest 3rd place

Thank you very much... It's about my uncle who was a folk singer... His name was Bello... He could do James Taylor, Jim Croce, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, Dan Fogelberg, Neil Diamond, Albert Hammond and many others, including country so easily. But he was not given his deserved chance and he passed away suddenly from heart attack not so many years ago...
