Caveman

Civilisation's got me down
taking me to the tail of my tether
driving me round the bend
I'm not going to stick it out
to see where it will end
I'll do my best to regress
back to the stone age
cook on fire paint the walls
sit on rocks keep my cool
do what I have to when nature calls
humanity gets my goat
making me vote skins no clothes
leading me to lunacy's throes
I'm not going to see it through
to find where it all goes
I want to be a cave caveman
a tough rough-and-ready caveman
and do what cavemen do
and if you feel the animal urge
I'll make caveman love to you

Premium MemberA Wilderness of Mirrors

the puddles of a storm
in a wilderness of lies
~ I wonder, did cavemen
ever see themselves as
    you or I can...
stumbling upon a still pond,
a prehistoric boudoir where
reflections are someone they've
     never met
like puppies perplexed by
   their own images?

is the image real, is it
friend/foe/truth/or deception?

a bear in the wilderness
destroys its own reflection
while we're lured by treachery
trusting the image of charlatans
polished by learned ignorance
~ in an epiphany of deceit...

Premium MemberDumb Animals

In the midst of all the turmoil in the world
A simple reconnect with the past
Can make the crap that we constantly hear
Seems so unimportant real fast

So unimportant in the overall scheme
The only thing that matters is love
With everything else we're forced to endure
Love's bigger than all else above

Love of nature where creatures abound
We're just part of the overall scene
Soon we'll realize as intelligent as we are
Must be missing a certain gene

A gene these so called dumb animals possess
Which allows them to coexist
There's a lot these dumb animals can teach us
Wouldn't that be a crazy twist

So I ask you, who are the real dumb animals
It's us, it's definitely us humans
Maybe some day in the future we'll all smarten up
And be more than intelligent cavemen

Where Did It All Went Wrong?

I feel nothing but estrangement,
Trapped in a phase as a cavemen.
Wandering in search of reality,
Came back with a fraction of sanity.

A peculiar girl with enormous dreams,
Extravagant zeal to see others succeed.
A social butterfly, spreading her wings,
Only to end up tumbling again.

Tossed and pulled, battled and bruised,
She smiles and laugh to cover the news.
At night she cries, cutting her thighs,
Praying to God to end her life.

I know there's others scuffling to survive,
I ought to stay strong and strive for its rights.
My charismatic charm, my sociable ways,
Can't do no harm, just create brighter days.

Premium MemberGrunts and Contractions

Where'd all the pretty words go
Phrases in the millions
Now all we use are acronyms
They're must be about kajillion

Sure time is fast approaching
We won't have need for words
Only speak in capital letters
No sentences will be heard

Acting like those early cavemen
Only gestures some quite crude
Hubby wants some lovin'
Letters will describe his mood

Is this where we're all heading
No need for loving gestures
Drooling and uttering acronyms
And grinning like a cheshire

The epitome of intelligent beings
Is their ability to utter words
Grunts and a few capital letters
Is all that's going to be heard!

Premium MemberTrolls

I can remember as a kid a toy that was popular, that I had called trolls
They were funny little cavemen with colorful hair and eyes the glowed
It was the fad to collect them all and to trim and shape their funny hair
They were fun to style and show off their funny fashion flair

Once the fad was over, they became the subject of horror movies
Depicted as nasty, mischievous little demons that were loony
They were evil green looking monsters out to get revenge
A goal of taking over the world where goodness would end

Trolls now take on the latter meaning in today’s world
Lurking quietly and hidden until they come out unfurled
Slinging verbal attacks toward others that are vile and mean
Mainly cowards that are full of hot hair blowing off steam

Trolls can go away and back to their miserable lonely homes
Stay out of the limelight and stop throwing hurtful stones
Trolls best belong as memories of sweet childhood toys
Not cowardly beings out expressing hatred just to annoy

Breath

Take a deep breath,
Then let it out.
Where does it go?
Do you know?
Does it die when you sigh?
Does it mingle with others?
those of your sisters and brothers?
Is it the very breathe of God,
That was given to man?
Is it still there since time began?
Are we breathing in from the past,
That cavemen did as they breathed their last?
Such is the life that we all can,
breathe the air God gave to man.

Premium MemberUmmmmmmm Become Ymmmmmmm

What makes a word?
Who made each word?
Someone had to, right?
It may have been Adam and Eve.

Or perhaps they sat around staring at apples and fig leaves.
Maybe they hummed, and marched and sang nonsense songs.
Maybe they started making words out of sheer boredom and desperation
TREE Adam said, pointing. APPLE Eve argued, being a woman.

The cavemen might have been the first to make up words.
They would have started from grunts probably.
UMMMMMMMMMMMM made more often while eating
Soon turning to YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

The Incas, Mayas and Aztecs might have been the first to use words.
Because they were a bit more advanced. Maybe arguing about it at first
But rapidly giving in to the high priests who somehow became the ones
To convince them to sacrifice a virgin for the crops each year.

They probably had to develop words to be persuasive.
Can you imagine our day without words?
I cannot even imagine a day without typing
Or writing something…

Premium MemberStone of the Past

Cavemen
carved stones
into tribal wars
mans battle curse

Men will kill
over the color of a flag
old ways must be lowered
to half mast

United Kingdoms
morphed into today's democracies
where men are equal
and women sleep in peace

Kings are symbols of history
stones, inanimate objects
worshiped by fools
Scotland voted to be united and free

History's no reason for division
common values now unite
we learn of gods wisdom
with love, never division

Now a land of the people
of values and not ones ancestry
we have no masters
therefore no separation

The brave
the Pipes and drums
march proud towards future dreams
my Scotland, my future

United by God or face the gun

Premium MemberBroken Plates

Old men gayish twirls in anger
smashing plates as fools do
like hurricanes on the horizon
cavemen blamed the weather
Gods anger they said
one thousand gods later
only old men still angry
fools in caves
buildings crumble
the void laughs

Masterdebation

Have mercy on Many
 Plenty simply have mercy
 many masterminds Masterdebating
 four this corruption and crime
 asking all these questions?
like why mind senses the presence?
it's not like I'ma demon working for Satan
really just want to deprave his name of praise and degrade dem.
teary eyed serpents give dem power of the highest scave
i take aim like buffy just stake hunt then enslay him
kno-madds sell The Souls of the innocent cavemen
time to take a stand!! for the motherland!!
 no more master behavement
The mass-steer in da bait-in
Master full of natural emotions can be blinded witts the enslavement of true inspiration
Horns Hooked to transform a chained hand
Following shepherds that lead sheep to the slave camps
High risk high stakes entertainment can't raise them in containment
Words play written in stone
no pavemen to create lanes
Justice save lamb
Words are broken to form new meaning
Through a silly guessing game of hangman

Does a Slug Think

The next bullet
might have your name on it
Think about it,
cause the slug won’t
The next thug
might be coming thru the telly
Oh, yeah ...
‘copter mouth flying under the radar,
with gunnery claws out
Ready to flat blast devour fat wallet pigeons
who love their paper purse belly
Mesozoic slugs in power
don’t wanna outlaw the deadly hot lead
Cavemen in golden towers,
engaging in 45-caliber clubs to the head
Shotgun weddings politically approved,
selling out the people
to the manufactured ones selling the guns
Spray paint the town red,
keep the blood banks on empty
Talk to those living in dread,
fearful of the silent trigger lady
The next GSW victim
might tell you
they don’t wanna kiss
the barrel bride and metal die this way
Think about it,
cause the slug is moving fast,
with no kind of revolver emotional sway
It’s all black and white,
ain’t no gray
Lead is the color of death everyday
Think about it,
cause the slug wanna have
the very last bloody thoughtless say

Corporate Caveman

Mr. Corporate caveman,
where goest thou wayward hands?
Giving boardroom ape-man grunts
to the second bananas in command
You love talking jungle lewd
to the female office underlings
Always feeling on someone else’s
body wrapped packages
Dino dogs love sniffing
in somebody else’s kitchen;
and other people morsels, they love licking
Corporate cavemen love exercising
unauthorized executive privilege touching
Mr. Corporate caveman,
I hear-tell you received some Jurassic justice
That your wife, Wilma,
got the divided marital bonds
of your Slate Rock company
And she threw you some scraps
of divorced crushed rubble
You got Betty bopped,
Mr. Corporate caveman ...
‘cause your fingers couldn’t stop,
Mr. Corporate caveman
And there’s a heavy cost
for being a caught misogynist boss

Jeers To You

Cow chips and a bottle of piss,
perfect snack for your unclean lips
Hitting the fan
is a stale sewer smell
The six-by-twelve
room you’re living in
is a cancer cell
flush next to a toxic landfill
All of your friends are burp babies,
bigoted bums like you
Empty box heads full of odd dumpster tools
They come to your putrid place,
where everybody knows their rotten name
They squat down next to your face,
drunkenly foaming out their shame
And the vomit dip is getting latrine low,
while louder is getting the salty pretzel bellows
Rowdy cursing cheers,
foul looking leers ...
The kinda place where
any self-respecting woman
don’t wanna be near
So pass around another profane cup of fermented piss,
refill the potty mouth bowl with some more cow chips
A room reeking of
sour yellow teeth and smacking brown lips
Here’s jeers to you and your pagan pals:
always leaving the lid up, never closing the door
Neanderthal nimrods who don’t love to spray,
cavemen walking barefoot on the chip crumbs filthy floor
Here’s jeers to you, Gonzo,
draped in dung gear gutter-stained gray
You and your fly down
Mesozoic slugs have yourselves a maggot day

Carbs

Lots of people watch their carbs.
I guess I watch them, too,
As they proceed from plate to fork
And in my mouth to chew.

I don't care much for protein
And most healthy foods I'll skip
Except for certain veggies
Seared in oil or used to dip.

But give me bread or pasta,
Pizza, muffins, beer and fries
And I'll indulge and luckily,
I won't go up a size.

So here's to carbohydrates!
If the cavemen had their choice,
They'd be following my diet
And would certainly rejoice!
