MOTHER -3rd place

Her life, she gambled, for you to see the light
She sheltered you from the dark and the bright
She catched the scorching sun to block the heat to your skin
She molded you to be better from outside and within

She laid her happiness for your future to be bright
She gave way to your pride and made you think you were right
She walked your walk and carried you on her arms
She gave you confidence and filled your soul with charms

She played the role of a father for you to have your needs
She gave you everything, more than your lavish feeds
She sacrificed her dreams just to see you sleep tight
She endured years working far, not having you at her sight

But more than everything, she gave you gift of love
Something that you should be thankful to the stars above
Without her gift of love, your existence had no color
She is an epitome of true greatness and valor

Melted Chocolate
by M. Griswold
08292020

You’re essence is sensual, your body divine.
With a flavor that's sexual, most finely refined.
To eat of your moist flow, I'm most inclined.
With a frenzy of a lover, I begin my sweet dine.

Chocolate melted, rich, creamy and flowing.
Confection thick, passions now ever growing.
Your drops desirable, tempting, ever showing.
In layers rich flowing, growing, never slowing.

Coming to rest upon my tongue out stretched.
Of a wondrous taste exploding, crazed, etched.
My soul is ablaze with your thick flow fetched.
Running down my chin, a dribble not catched.

A delightful feeling erupts from deep within.
I delve in closer from my elbows to my chin.
Your scent is most insane beckoning therein.
Suckling you frantically I fully eat you all in.

Oh, my smooth chocolate, my sweet candy desire.
Streaming, steaming, it's your richness I require.
No other will do, no other can completely inspire.
The love, the lust I have for you sets me on fire.

Premium MemberAs the Wind Blows In You

As the wind blows in you
Leaves and petals floating
I snatch each piece that flee
Up and down they tease me
I catched each one with glee

As the wind blows in you
Petals are your flowers
Perfumes in white and pink
Dials like ocean breeze
Scents that wave and link

As the wind blows in you
Birds, feathers fly away
Storm clouds cover the sun
Birds, petals blown away
As the rain drops in bun

As the wind blows in you
Raindrops falling on trees
Evening mist, longed and missed
On ground leaves, petals kissed
White and pink turned red-blissed

Premium MemberThe Last Call

Hectic day, the device beeped incessantly:
Salient, superficial, attended all, not to skip,
the vital from the plethora of logs.

Voices buzzed interminably : known, alien,
the bulk superficial and unknown;
Irritated, lulled the apparatus to silence;
urged own moments from the bustles!

That mercy on the mode,
the lulling turned erroneous; fateful!
Rued the decision; the most urged one,
was missed like never before!
Irony! Took the tool to ring back; came another,
vital one, as clarion call.

Engrossed in the pivotal, forgot the ring, missed again;
no sooner did arrive, reclined, took the device to recall.

Fated! On that very moment, the gadget beeped again,
to convey the harrowing, the man behind the missed call, was no more!
The abrupt demise of the yearned voice, numbed the core!
Dumbfounded! how could that be the last call?

That last glimpse! That intimate husky voice!
Unable to hold the irrevocable;
Unruly drops rolled down from the sterling eyes unbidden:
A mere heave: could have catched that beep of the last call!

A Butterfly

A Butterfly

A Butterfly swarming in the air
Giving sparkles away for breathe
High spirited cocoons praising
The birth of their sister.
And the butterfly singing a song
Lamenting the demise of it's last laziness.
Now to swim in the air
Forgetting hopes in flight dispair.
And to be catched by a child
And again let go to fly
A colourful brigade showers
For the hoping hearts to unite
Fun for the creator upon the breed
Not knowing the values of shorter lifespan
That gave man the choice of roles to keep

Rose To Her Verve and Wit

R-ose to her verve and wit,
U-ntiring viewers watched;
B-eauty and brains they witnessed,
Y-es, life's lesson was catched.

A-mount of skill was big,
N-ot few or small in volume;
N-either slight nor puny, her knowledge was in bloom.

Z-eal to rise to the occasion,
U-sing her own cleverness;
L-arge size of intelligence
U-nfolded her huge success.
E-veryone was awed by her,
T-enth October friends did greet;
A-udience in the big event rose to her verve and wit.

Approach of Death

Amidst of all, catched those eyes
Immortality of affection in those…
Was the only attraction for me,
But the ignorance of that soul…
Always let me to fade away that attraction,
The painting of that affection
Was full of colors until my arrival,
Clocking ticking and the seasons' changing
Colors started going away and…..
And…and they slightly laughed at me
For not respecting when they were with me, and then…
I started climbing the ladder that leads to death
Slowly and steadily I was getting near to its bed
Feeling, of that darkness where nobody is alive,
Started approaching me, and in a while
Was about to hug me and its intentions….
Were not that truthful, it wanted to embrace me
And it seemed that, that embrace would last forever.

Will Love Ever Come My Way

Sometimes the world seems so real
So much so that I don't know what to feel
Believing it all to be on reel
I slowly convince myself to heal.

Was it so long ago being together?
I keep looking back, but can't gather
Have we gone apart I do wonder
Will there be another start, I do ponder.

Why is it me of all people there?
Couldn't I have been a bit lucky here?
Just once can't I have the care?
And be there, I wish to be where.

Why is it that I am always snatched
from what I had painstakingly catched.
Why is my heart always hatched
Only to be in the end smashed.

I wish something as such comes my way
which would erase this may
A beautiful story to make my day
Will love ever come my way?

Quicksand

Quicksand
Written: 5-8-16

“Staring at a rose bush from a distance
It’s truth hid behind its beauty
Falling off a cliff, hoping you might be catched
Knowing deep down, he never will

His perspective on life had me falling
I fell into a quicksand pit,
Didn’t realize I was sinking
Months went by without knowing

Certain songs played strangled my brain
They told me that time could solve this
Curious about its purpose, yet blank stare
Brain disconnected from my heart

My time and feelings were swept away
Broom of memories all in a picture now
Thoughts of affection together would poison me
Expectations of the future would shatter my heart

He’s in love with someone else,
Those loves songs are for a different circuit
All those heart pounding moments,
Were just pointless exercises on your heart

Circumstances, timing, and judgement
Those things will always be glued to him
Take a step back, and unleash yourself
There’s other dogs in the park to love”

A Crystal That Darkens

Winter is also celibate. The conscience is moving,
A frozen light in a frozen eye. It's raining much looser,
Down a ripped tree.  I couldn't have,
I couldn't have, in this sin-sick tenderness.
              ___

My face is cracked in my fawnlike fingers;
And the nose betrays an inner child, who
Wouldn't listen to sparrows about being catched.
I just insisted fur was wings.
              ___

The feminine chill on the palm must be sorrow;
When I think of church bells, or mother-
That I am haunting as raw love.
