You are the food I crave
Delicious and so soulful
I crumble at your turquoise touch
Giving green sighs of delight
Inspiring intoxicating Cajun kisses
So hot and spicy uniting hearts
Do you feel my love true blue
Casting like fishing pole
Hoping to catch only you
And then cruise in your passion
Feet never touching the ground
For you send me sailing
And at time wailing for your affection
Can’t even fathom your rejection
For you string me along
Like a melodic love song
And I fit into indigo moods
Your kiss gives me fits of panic
Making me feel hot and manic
When will you pity my desire
And put out red fire

Riverboat on the Mississippi
Folks dining on scrimp, grits, and cornbread
Drinking booze and gambling like crazy
Going to Bourbon Street just ahead
Down in that Cajun Queen, New Orleans
The big paddle wheel keeps on rolling
Down to the Cajun Queen of the Gulf
Where the real money is unfolding
And a thousand green bucks is small stuff
Down in that Cajun Queen, New Orleans
The big paddle wheel keeps on churning
Black coal keeps that steam boiler humming
Noxious fumes from the smokestack blowing
Nightlife on Bourbon Street is jumping
Down in that Cajun Queen, New Orleans
Cathedral spires standing very tall
Off Canal, near downtown Bourbon Street
Near a hotel by a shopping mall
Where folk are getting some daytime sleep
Down in that Cajun Queen, New Orleans
They wait for night, ‘til just after dark,
To find the places of blues, jazz, and rap
A swamp of raunchy acts, joints, and bars
Folk can get caught like mice in a trap
Down in that Cajun Queen, New Orleans

They rolled like a mountain,
out of New York city.
I heard Cajun Lady,
from The Fat'sby
Twas back in the day,
Nineteen- Seventy.
You know she was a lover,
His Mississippi Queen.
I heard Cajun Lady,
With the Fat'sby on Lead.

When it rains
the grass grows greener
and thick like a forest of trees
in my back yard
Mr. Bojangles, the housecat
slowly stalks its prey
of wizard-like lizards scattering away.
With nothing but the sounds of
crickets and cicadas
heard humming now and then
as the sun begins to settle down
here in my hometown again.
Cajun land with bayou bands
alligators and crawfish pie
Sugar cane and hurricanes
enough to make one cry.
Down here south of New Orleans
near the Gulf of Mexico
where Great Blue Herons spread their wings
in a splendid, stupendous show.
Where cypress trees sway high in the breeze
and fishing is an artful dream
and turtles resting on floating logs
aren't always what they seem
If you're lucky
enough to catch a glimpse
of all these natural wonders
we're blessed
if you don't mind more rain this time
here in my Cajun backyard nest.

Hair as long as the Mississippi River,
Eyes as dark as a bayou on a moonless night,
kiss as sweet as a honeysuckle flower,
and as dangerous as a rattlesnake bite.
She's a southern sinful delight.
Baptized by fire,
she ain't like any other,
her kind of lovin'
makes the devil run for cover.
Dancing in the fire light,
by the muddy waters,
she's a Cajun goddess,
and a voodoo queen's daughter.
She'll steal your soul,
with the sway of her hip,
she will take you to hell,
and make you beg for the trip.

I was born from infernal hell
I'm the Cajun King
I was born from infernal hell
A land full of life and festivity
Bring me to your Mississippi Queen
She holds justice in the palm of her hands
Wielding her attomica taking no ****
Her blue eyes vicious and cold, never dull
Courtship in the swamp, drinking white lightning
Fireflies light up the night
Nature sings their song with brewin' moonshine
Dancing from dusk till dawn
The heat of lovers flailing in amatory
Just like Remy and Rogue
For this moment she lets herself delicate, fragile, and equal
She sets me on fire, feeling the summer breeze
Dressed in sumptuous charm
I feel her in my arms
Have a taste from the kiss of spice
Feeling like I'm in her tune of limbo
Burning Mon Cheri
It hard to resist my Chere
Inferna pyromantic ways ignite what's inside
Saying the words I longed to hear
So once again I pinch, bite, suck, lick, and sear her love
Swirling quickly to the offering of jollity
A moment of serene
Cajun King and Mississippi Queen

Cajun Pride
Remembering an autumn day
Floating down the river
Where all his tensions flow away
And the days just become a blur
The current is always so mellow
And the shore is beauty beyond compare
Lined by age old weeping willows
It is the answer to a river boy’s prayer
The bayou is a special place
Full of stories old
Told slowly and never apace
They are thing the river boy will always hold
As he floats beyond the oldest willow
He looks into the heavens
And he sees his grandpa laying on his pillow
And he remembers his pride in being Cajun

Down in Louisiana,
down in da bayou deep
Where sweaty bodies hear da swamp sounds
in da hot, steamy heat
Local people know Mamadou Sekkou
Medicine woman
born on da banks of da bayou
300 lbs
of dark, dark skin
charcoal black
Big bosomed woman
with black and silver wavy waterfalls
flowing down her back
Mamadou Sekkou
sez she got a potion for you
Make your weak man strong,
make him love you all night long
Make him be yours from a man-child
til he be old in da bones
Make him be yours all his lifelong
Just don’t do Mamadou Sekkou wrong,
or a curse is gon rise from da swamp
Do da big Cajun woman right,
and a blessing gets added to your life
Mamadou Sekkou sez she a woman of God,
had da healing potion oracles passed down ...
straight from da root of da African bush
that don’t burn
Mamadou Sekkou
sez she curse dem dat don’t never learn
Dem dat keep to da bad ways,
dem dat wear da gator gaze
Curse dem to da swamp dey go,
let da glowing eyes drag dey souls down below
Mamadou Sekkou
give dem da swamp Cajun curse ...
but she always try to turn dem right first

Santa came last night spreading Christmas cheer
He said I'm finished now , until next year
He said no more dodging poo
Its over what do I do
That's easy Santa, I gave him a beer

Cajun Santa was a skinny little man
He could hide in the shadow of a soda pop can
I asked Cajun Santa do you have a magic power
He said, I can fly around the world in less than an hour
He said I’ve got to be fast in and out quick
I get a little competition from Ol St. Nick
You can be the meanest little boy that ever did play
You will get a gift from me on Christmas day
For all you boys and girls good or bad
Cajun Santa won’t leave anyone sad

Out of the Omicron Ceti
The Mira shines bright in the sky
Waiting for a warm afternoon
Where old men go fishing
With nothing a string and a limb
Waiting for the setting of the moon
With four loaves of bread
Three jars of strawberry jam
Sweet lemonade and a spoon
Crested waves curl the foam
Along the jagged rocks
All the boys in their boats
Call to the girls on the shore
Laying out in the warm, summer sun
Out in the Bayou all the people are kind
While the boys find the girls they adore
They dance in the night to wild, Cajun songs
While bonfires burn bright in the night
Can you think of a more fitting place
In all this world where you really belong
Then to dance with the stars burning bright
Underneath that old Cajun moon!
