Yet she’s there

Clothed in my bare

Premium MemberGrandmas Bundled Up Cat

she is a bundled up cat
I have to give you that!

all snug and warm
Cozy, without any harm

grandma’s given her a scarf with a bit of blue
bundled cat is wearing her eyeglasses too

aren’t those glasses prescription? I ask Granny Inez.
Yes, but no one will give my cat an eye test she says.

I roll my eyes and the cat tries to follow.
Having a cat take my place is kind of hard to swallow.

You love her more than me, I accuse my Grand.
She smiles and they dance away with a Mariachi band.

Premium MemberBundled Thoughts

‘Twas the most divine afternoon
The birds had gathered at high noon
All chirping beautifully in tune
Calling out to all, even that lone raccoon

’Twas the middle of the month of June
Never tiring of listening to the loon croon
she came to visit on a bench by the lagoon
With her thoughts bundled in a cocoon

‘Twas the twilight of their honeymoon
She sat there and considered her silver spoon
Where they were heading seemed now out of tune
Life never ceases to throw curves so inopportune

The evening witnessed the rise of a harvest moon
Could have lingered till she’d be about to swoon
While hoping to see galaxies beyond Neptune
Simply sent her wish adrift strung to a blue balloon

I Bundled You Up

My thoughts turn to you though I'm miles from home
They seep through my skin and speak to my bones
I tried to forget, but I never understood
How you're so adept at infecting my blood

Somehow the depression has followed me here
Smothers my throat and blows in my ear
The spell that you crafted and conjoured for me
Invented to remind I'll never be worthy

It seems when I packed up to run off from you
I bundled you up and packed you in too
Feels like I'm serving a criminal sentence
There's just no escape from your shadowing semblance

Premium MemberBundled In Joy

Softly, on tiptoe, I will take a quick peek...
wrapped in her blanket, with chubby pink cheeks
Must not wake her, this gift from the angels
Fragrance of talcum, purity in dove tales
Sweet fragrance of talcum, with purity, of angels...
Dark silky hair on soft rose covered flannel
Bundled so snugly, yet fighting to free
Her tiny closed fist, dearly precious to see..
Eyes flutter like butterflies, ...Sweet girl, ..just what do you dream?
Of puppies and kittens, or golden sunbeams??

Soft stirring...hands open, ..to make a reveal..
Tiny pink fingernails...they make a heart swell
Like dollops of rosebuds....from heaven above
Sweet child of the springtime...you've captured our love
The most heavenly gift that we've ever seen
Precious sweet Ezzelle, ....such love's never been.......

Premium MemberPink Bundled

We’re welcoming our newest,
a little girl has come has come.
She’s sweeter than a melon
or a ripe and juicy plum

You’ll find her by her mommy’s side,
in pink from head to toe.
When she has rested just a bit
she’ll be ready for her show.

She has a lot of long black hair.
This is a great surprise.
The wisdom of the ages
is showing in her eyes.

The world must seem so strange to her.
She’s handling it with aplomb.
She’s stolen all our hearts away,
a beauty like her mom.

She is less than one day old,
and as I meet her gaze,
I wonder what it would be like
to have no yesterdays.

No sorrows and no sad regrets
and no what might have beens,
only her name upon the page
as her new life begins.
