Bundled In Joy

Softly, on tiptoe, I will take a quick peek...
wrapped in her blanket, with chubby pink cheeks
Must not wake her, this gift from the angels
Fragrance of talcum, purity in dove tales
Sweet fragrance of talcum, with purity, of angels...
Dark silky hair on soft rose covered flannel
Bundled so snugly, yet fighting to free
Her tiny closed fist, dearly precious to see..
Eyes flutter like butterflies, ...Sweet girl, ..just what do you dream?
Of puppies and kittens, or golden sunbeams??

Soft stirring...hands open, ..to make a reveal..
Tiny pink fingernails...they make a heart swell
Like dollops of rosebuds....from heaven above
Sweet child of the springtime...you've captured our love
The most heavenly gift that we've ever seen
Precious sweet Ezzelle, ....such love's never been.......
