Our son-in-law was in a really bad wreck yesterday
He according to the test has no broken bones but is in terrible pain
The ER doctor let him come home last night
Thank God that he had on his seatbelt and that God protected him
It could have been so much worse
He was going around 50 MPH and someone ran a stop sign
He broadsided them because he did not know they were not going to stop
It totaled out the truck he drives at work
Thank you, Sara K

My mind broadsided by my great-nephews imagination
I heard…
“When God made “Spongebob”, we weren’t here.”
Curiosity, the controlling force that it is made me ask,
“Where were we?”
5-year olds’ ideas are often in bold primary colors.
Another brain-broadside,
“We went to that other place, you know,
Heaven, so God could Create “Spongebob.
Nobody, not even us were in the whole galaxy.”
Now, who would have thought that God would need to shutdown
An entire galaxy for such a task? It must have been a hullabaloo of a re-boot!
Ah, the tune to which a young imagination dances...
A unique creation, seconded only by the images that it paints.

Ol’ brazen Brenda, battlin’ biography,
Banters bewildered brave boatmen at sea,
Brushstrokes besieging her beleaguered brain,
Broadsided by fiction now baking insane;
Balanced between both broken and brilliant,
Buried by sorrow, bereft not resilient,
A ballyhooed author, back in the day,
‘Fore Brian betrothed her then drowned near the bay;
Basking bereavement, believing though more,
Books barely bound newly found in the store,
‘Betaken, Broad Beauty’, Brenda’s new write,
Beveled bare bitterness abruptly bright;
Barreled, brought breathless by Bernie, beloved,
A character boating where dead Brian shoved,
As buckets with bottoms knowing no end,
Begging attention did Brenda’s mind bend;
Blended for sanity, befuddled realities
Born when begins a life without boundaries,
Betterment bellows because Brenda’s words,
Boxed-up betrayal beneath binding boards.

The truck came out of nowhere and broadsided his car
Judy's head hit the window
She began bleeding from the blow
other cars started skidding in the snow
It was awful
these situations were NEVER ODD OR EVEN
It Seemed Like A Dream
And everything appeared to be going slow
"Safety Doesn't Happen By Accident"
They were actually on their way to Canada to visit friends
Now it was Stares, Dares, Scares, Fears and Tears
They heard the ambulance
And in the 'Hazy Shade Of Winter'
They were Quickly taken to the hospital, to Speedily
Commence their treatment and Begin to heal, for a fresh Start, a Birth, a
New beginning
They were Happy to be alive, and tears welled up in their Eyes
Emotionally drained and 'Running On Empty'
Although sometimes appearing to be in a trance
Judy felt better 'Next Morning When She Awoke'...

Cruising for a bruising, I wreck my blue car.
It runs on regular with no gas gage, goes far.
She ran the yellow light at sixty. I went on green.
Her witness date, on same yellow light.
My car spun a one-eighty, went for four blocks.
Policeman who took me home. Later stood up
and vouched for me. The judge took witness.
Had to pay a fine. Never mind this injustice.
Orange Fiesta, rainy night. Truck passed.
Broadsided crash, totaled car. Sprained ankle.
Got new sunroof with the fix, instead of a check.
To Colorado it got me, when I escaped with kids.
White Saab, snow car. Exhausted was I
From night shift. Hit broadsided, blind hill.
Totaled car again. God loves me and my vehicles.
On my bicycle hit by another car. No scar.
Scary sometimes how God loves me.
Train coming down the tracks, no gates.
Music loud, didn't hear blow. Stopped cause God
Told me so. So on and on I go in another car.
