Premium Member Lemon Coriander Soup

I have an in-born low immunity against cold,
so, when my nose ran lose and mucus rolled,
my mother used to make for me everyday
lemon coriander soup I liked, I would say.

Using mother’s recipe I now cook this soup a lot
with celery, onion, cabbage and carrot
as the primary vitamin C-rich ingredient,
combined with garlic, parsley and leek for scent.

A dash of lemon juice and a bit of sugar
make the soup appetizingly sweet and sour.
With floating coriander leaves and pinch of pepper,
the clear soup turns deliciously tangy and a gripper.

When I am down with cold and a bad cough,
this soup gives me great relief in times tough.
Savoring it piping hot bowlful at dinner with delight,
makes me feel warm and cozy in chilly winter night.

Caramel Fudge

Caramel fudge
is particularly nice
and consumed with delight
is gone in a trice
bananas however
although quite sublime
only get eaten
but one at a time
strawberries face a different demise
commonly held in highest esteem
are nevertheless
devoured by the bowlful smothered in cream
whilst a juicy ripe orange
when removed from its peel
whether eaten or juiced
to a thirst is surreal
not forgetting the apple
enjoyed in its skin
and crunched in big bites
is no longer a sin.

Spectrum of Life

Their sky is blue,
As the calmness they seek
Their blood is red,
Igniting pugnacious determination to survive
Their sun is yellow
Ever glowing golden ray of nurture
Their forests are green
Overlapping shrubs of mystery stirring curiosity
Their hearts are violet,
Like a bowlful of sweet yet sour grapes
They are individuals
Nothing more and nothing less
They are me, you and all of us
We are painters who colorize imagination
Revealing the spectrum of life.

Parma Violets

What amazing sweets parma violets are
Superior to all other sweets by far
Even the name sounds rather grand
Try one my friend then you'll understand

Small in size but so very big on taste
Good for the mouth bad for the waist
Suck them or crunch them it's your call
Get my weekly supply from the market stall

About fifteen in a packet they soon disappear
First started eating these beauties in my fifth year
Part of my childhood I guess that's true
Far more tastier than a bowlful of stew

Mexican Minuanetta

A menu, Annetta, I’m hungry as a bear.
But first, something lighter, tell me, what have you there?
Chips, by the bowlful with salsa as starter fare.
Do bring them A-S-A-P, and yes, I declare
Extra? bring some queso with tender, loving care.

First course finished, once more the menu,  if you please;
Greens, tomatoes, cucumbers with lots of chickpeas,
Hidden Valley ranch, the best dressing will appease.
Iced sweet tea with two slices of lemon, I’ll squeeze.

Just a simple salad will stave my hunger’s chime.
Keep that menu close at hand, for proteins are prime;
Leafy salad down the hatch, now it’s entrée time.

Menu calls loudly in clear meatier voices.
Now for the main course, Bueno! stomach rejoices.

Operation Fulfillment: contentment, my need.

Polla Poblano, with rice and black beans to spare;
Quesadillas, two with chorizo, two with cheese.
Rich cuisine fills me up, I am feeling sublime.
Skipping dessert sounds like the wisest of choices,
Tosh! bring me fried ice cream, for I have gone to seed.

Remember Oh I Remember

Remember that aroma? Ah so, so sweet
That evening last summer, we should repeat
The boat ride on the lake with the stars up above
Remember? Yes I remember and cherish it my love
That night was like magic or so it seemed
As sweet as a bowlful of sugar and cream
And here we are now a year has passed by
Still lovers in love, my how times does fly
Your lips are still sweet as the fresh morning dew
With the wind that winked just as it blew
And the twinkle of your eyes as you look my way
With a hint of seduction that your body portrays
Yes, I remember. How could I forget?
A sexy woman dressed in black who is a brunette
That walk that you possessed, that smile, oh that smile
Was all that it took and it was really worthwhile
Remember, you ask? You’re always on my mind
You’re art in motion, yes you’re streamlined

Premium Member Miserable Grumpy and Mean

If I go a whole day without my Wheaties
I'm miserable, grumpy and mean
My Wheaties are really the only thing
Between me and a very bad scene

Beat up little kiddies but they must be little
Like two or three feet high or less
None of those overgrown teenager dudes
My face would end up quite a mess

Don't think badly of me, it's the Wheaties
They provide me with real hutzpah
You best hide the kiddies if I run out of 'em
Hide the axes, knives and chainsaws

I did seek help but the psyche was like me
Needed his Wheaties to cope
Beat the living daylights out of yours truly
Whipped me with his stethoscope

Wheaties are required to maintain stability
So we don't go off the deep end
Had a great big giant bowlful this morning
So relax I'm real mellow again

You

Saw you and knew you

We didnt even need to speak

Saw you and wanted you in my life

just the thought of you makes me sick

So love sick my heart hurts

So love sick my stomach hurts

hunger no food can fill

I need a bowlful of

U

Dosent make any sense

I dont know you

yet being without you

Dosent make any sense

I dont know you

yet knowing you has changed me

what a mind @$#%$

This needs to stop

Stop invading my thoughts...I hate that

I hate that you are so delicious ...ok I need to stop

You have me and you have no idea

Got to shake this..but I cant

It's like I'm wearing the Queens crown so heavy and beautiful

and YOU are the King

But the kingdom dosent exist

outside my mind

YOU
