are habits beliefs
Is there a danger in faith
are ye not a god
I used to see the world
Through black and white glasses
Until my world came
Crashing down upon me and
I realized, the world
Is not what it seems, so
I began to see the world
Through rose colored glasses
I saw crooked lines, curves and
Lines that said, no road ahead
Where being truthful is
Rewarded with punishment or being
Let go from your job
And lies being rewarded with honors
With that being said, believe
That truth will prevail one day, and
When one door closes
A better one opens
Never give up and have faith
A Boring Sight is Black and White
A bias comment damages existing faith, garnering hostile ignorance. Jeering knaves labeling masses; normality overly praised; quickly racism subjects terror unto victims. Wry, xenophobic yelling zealots.
CONTRAST OF BLACK AND WHITE
Faith coddles the fetus in his cimmerian cradle,
his freshly formed ears set on the steadfast heartbeat.
~
Eyes blink, outside the cramped passageway,
glowing bright like a newborn star.
~
The thumb sucking infant sifts out the gray pixels,
shape sorting images, building blocks in the mind.
~
Blindness binds a child devoid of light.
Contrast of black and white supplies sight.
~
When does this child become afraid of the dark?
Once exposed, eyes crave a steady diet of light.

To seek and never find,life
-the tragedy of living;
To see and never find,love
-the tragedy of being;
To seek and never find,faith
-the tragedy of after-life;
To live and never find,art-
to live life without seeing;
To live life sans poetry,
with one-dimensional sight,
without imagination-
life exists in black and white.
Black And White
One late Summer night,
He'd done all he could to hold up the fight.
But Heaven decided to call him home.
It was time for him to go.
In the very moment before his last breath met his last heartbeat in death,
only he could truly know.
Sometimes it takes years.
Sometimes it takes hours.
Fighting through the tears,
Cold and lifeless showers.
Love lives on.
Even when life is long gone.
Even when it doesn't feel like its there.
It's out there somewhere.
Sometimes it takes years.
Sometimes it takes hours.
Fighting through the tears,
Cold and lifeless showers.
It takes strength and a courage
not many can face to endure the tragedy of following in faith.
It's hard to be brave when you can't see the face of grace.
In a long black box,
Token filled shoes and socks.
It's a black and white world when you find the coffin within.
Sometimes it takes years.
Sometimes it takes hours.
Fighting through the tears.
Cold and lifeless showers.
Death only exists with your last breath.
In the dark, I become quiet
and I listen to my pulse
Then I wonder to myself
About the day my heart is silent
I don't think about this time
When i am quiet, questioning
There was never and evidence
to the stories my mother told me
The ones I learned in church
They said the world is black and white
But to me it's all just shades of gray
Large be Small,
As dark as night.
She bare half black,
She bare half white.
Small be Large,
as bright as daylight.
May they stand tall,
Fair be their light!
Darkness never proffered the pure pleasure of the sun
Its predatory prescient presence was never any fun
The light of reason helps to show a way to live the night
To guide the steps a man must take to wake in dawning light
To sleep to dream to plan to live to love to work to build
A stair of turning upward steps till darkness is revealed
As nothing more than simply lack of light
