Premium MemberWe Must Have Been In Your Blind Spot

Such a beautiful sunny day so we went out for a drive
We walked on a springy pink and purple heather carpet
then foraged on the hedgerows bursting with bilberries
whilst butterflies danced and swallows swept through the air
Our pedometers showed our steps as we climbed the steep hill to the car
Soon it was time to wend our way down the windy road home to our village …
We’ve done this drive a thousand times before
Suddenly a white car shot out from a driveway right in our path
My hubby took evasive action so as not to crunch into the back of her car
Whilst I muttered something totally unprintable under my breath!
The old biddy continued on her way, she was totally oblivious to our presence!
Was she distracted by her mobile phone
or was her mind in a total fog
But next time you get in the car my dear…
give the wheel to your trusty guide dog!

A true story of our morning

Atop Old Penistone

Atop old Penistone

From bumpy stony track to peak the summit
No ledges, drops from which to plummet
A quarried mound that boasts sweet heather
Loyal and strong despite the weather

The climb to top, a meagre stroll
But views abound, sights to extol
Bilberries aplenty on summer day
Rich pickings from a lush array

On one gray stone, a single rose is laid
where envied views boast hills of jade
In memory of a beloved view
Recalled by one faithful and true

Down slopy rubble on rugged track
A tarn exists amid the crags
A mirrored well by fallen sky
For calm reflection to stay awhile

And on to sepulchered random rock
Sculptured by time, turn back the clock
Grand memories of those since gone
Each tilted stone bears one loved name

Proud Penistone portal to the way
Not much to see, I hear you say
But look awhile on peaty ground
Penistone hill, not just a mound

A vantage point of contoured green

In memory of a beloved view

Ingredients

sonata for the flute and piano
adding
some slices
of a sunrise tasted with the friends
and a calm sleep on the sand

for the brioche with bilberries
I cut the almonds
I break the nuts
in this August evening
the sky releases the colours- like the agate

on the seashore
at the "Seamagic"
torrents of musical phantasies
against the seediness
the Benedich eggs

excited
a handshake
a dreamy smile
broken peers in white wine
who wouldn't give the marchal stick for a marengo chicken?

when the woodcock’s eyes
start fading away
it is a sign that it can taste quiet
this dusk of the day or life
as ISSA can say

tiny summer rain
a romance in the ice bucket
for later on
between graces and muses
only Seneca’s hen

together with the poetess Kozne Uzawa
it a milk coffee
the autumn is near-
some drops in a caress
may cure the heart

Premium MemberCleansing Bilberries

Within my breast still boils like summer clouds
Passion and longing_ desire to be held
Like one afraid of summer's thundercloud
Feeling secure, warm, loved to his body weld

What happened to that flame; did glacier flow
Icing even small ember tucked away?
When did the last bit of scented smoke blow?
Love on different plane now exsist everyday

The new rose on the trellis grows pale buds
Soon to flower mature_ then loss of power
Sad plight each goes full circle fall with thud
Passionate love with a thud soft flower

Love's passion filled veins now clogged arteries
Cleansing required maybe just bilberries

Premium MemberSealed With a Bilberry Kiss

Those indigo jeans worn this special day
When he invited me on my first date
Very appropriate ~trip to park_ play
Lunch from a vendor sharing plate

As our hands touch, look in his eyes_ see deep
The desire to get closer as knees touch
Feelings transpire, much desire from heartdeep
Overcome with passion's heat, face feels a blush

Such a romantic setting_ lovely pond
Jeweled around neck with water lilies
Flying birds, swans of lake stilled as lovers kiss~bond
Closing kiss, lover friend picks bilberries

Bilberries color of indigo seal kiss
Lips matching jeans~day continue bliss

(Heartdeep is rooted in the heart..Bilberries are closely
related to American Blueberries or Huckleberries..)
