2 Wrongs - Dont Make a Right

Jan 2015
2 wrongs
don’t make a right

Tit for tat
Chit for chat
Like for like
Spite for spite

Yes and no
Friend and Foe
Black and white
Sugar and shite

Forward not back
Defend not attack
Forgive not forget
Learn not regret

Two Wrongs That Make a Right

War to end war
Brings peace

Rites and Wrongs

Rites and Wrongs

This write suggests the search of many slants
Pursuing words of truth you hold most clear.
Stand sober toward the charlatans whose rants
Exact belief in those susceptible to fear.

Reflections on the tomes of writers past
Remark agendas with a want to bring
To light the mystic words that prophets cast
Which spread the lofty rumor of a coming King.

A rock holds sway while scratches on a stone
Prescribe the path of hallowed righteousness.
Successors to the dozen set the tone -
The mind that dares diverge invites the hot abyss.

The stream that's meant to wash away the stain
Which nascent blooms bear from the first of breath
Presumes we bleed not pure but earned our pain-
A wrenching debt, but spares an endless tortured death.

We know not why the wind sweeps insolence
Into the space of grayish rooms unseen
And presses some to scoff at reverence
For black-robed shadows knelt and bowed in holy scene.

Lawless acts to shelter sins are fraught
With hushed consort by fiends so likely bent
Who offer haven when their rogues are caught.
Whose shrouded malice deemed a minor, lone event.

But yet the seething silence in the guise
Of those whose offered trust was so defiled
Is broken only by their troubled cries.
A shameful stigma preyed upon them as a child.

So tremble not to dash the age-old trends
With questions bracing your unruly airs.
Yea, stand alone, if need be, from your friends
For surely your slant deems as much respect as theirs..

Two Wrongs Without a Right

A mistake does not make the person when the person makes a mistake

Someone can kill another, does not always make them a murderer

Anybody could rob another person, though it does not brand them a thief

Anybody can be accused for being in the wrong place at the wrong time

Some mistakes are pointed to another in order to make their own feel better

While the push every nose in their mistake like a dog who make one on the carpet

Some mistakes are nit always a conscious decision, instead an anger induced blackout

Leaving the stain, and the brand of anothers mistakes

The murderer could have been just having a bad day

Or maybe caught the robber with his hand in his pockets

Creating a blackout, causing his mistakes to be unleashed

Soon after rolling the robber up in the carpet where he was constantly being reminded

His mistakes got worse as the stains turned into red, like his eyes

After the blackout seeing how bad it looked, believing nobody would believe it was defense

Carrying on his back his last mistake and a chain, ties himself down to the robber

Jumping into to lake to drown his memories, and fixing his mistake

Premium Member The Wrongs of Spring - Global Warning

Pretty freesias in my garden
oh what a stunning sight,
their scent is so alluring
with petals of pure white

But glancing at my diary
it’s autumn and not spring,
I wonder if their appearance
is down to global warming

I’ve got freesias in flower they may look stunning but it’s totally the wrong time for them to be in bloom as they usually flower in my garden in spring

All My Wrongs-Dad To Son

My sweetheart son
from grounding you
to scolding you
perhaps you are right
if you feel that
I was wrong
but there may come a day
when you perceive that
how all my wrongs then
made everything right for you
once you become a Dad
of your baby
you shall realize that
how blessed you are
for all my wrongs

Redo the Wrongs

So I was in your mind today,
Then you all day stayed in mine
And nothing in there did dismay
My dream to make you once again
My beloved valentine.

God's Love Keeps No Record of Wrongs

God’s Love Keeps No Record of the Past!

I asked a brother if he would please forgive me.
I said; “I’m sorry!” But he wouldn’t believe me.

Something happened, and he was “offended.”
He didn’t want our friendship to be amended.

I tried to share with him 1 Corinthians chapter 13.
He was upset, and scripture didn’t “mean a thing

You see, this kind of action happens to many times.
It happens a lot in church. Just “read between the lines.”

God’s word speaks of his love, and many read it!
But they seldom apply his word, when they need it!

When it comes to God’s love, it seems quite “convenient.”
To say we really love others, but actually don’t mean it!

Do we throw out God’s word, when someone gets us upset?
Is it Christ’ example of love,
that we fervently neglect?

I think it’s time we all come to Jesus for his love divine.
And ask for his powerful love
to daily cleanse our mind!

It’s only God’s love that can change us
and make our heart pure!
It’s only his love that make our relationships secure!

Shall we walk in his love?
The best way we can?
Let’s be his shining light!
Through the darkness in the land!

Premium Member We Can't Normalize Gun Violence

How many times must we amend
The gruesome news of death again?
What venue will Fate next abase,
some hapless, unsuspecting place?
Such acts still shake us to the core -
These senseless slaughters some ignore.
We're told that guns bought "legally"
Are nothing to condemn, you see.
Just guiltless children lying dead,
A tragic scene - their parents' dread.
While in the rooms with blood-stained walls
Lay books unread, deprived from all.

One answer was a thoughtless call:
Guns unrestrained with guns for all!
This stance - such unimagined gall -
Suggests the price is protocol.

Coffin for one - coffins for all;
Of no concern - this awful pall?
What's caused a Right we've held so long
To become tarnished by these wrongs?
Without true insight to reflect,
Without true foresight to correct,
Without true courage to stand tall
Elected "leaders" shift and stall.
Playing the odds in their careers
Have they now closed their eyes and ears?
For "pols" who acquiesce this mess
Their "jobs" should pass to someone else.

The case for change is nothing new -
Will common sense and reason do?
If change won't come then who's to blame?
Ourselves - for sure - and that's the shame.

Now, silenced victims must be heard -
Yes, they should have the final word!

God Forgives Us of Our Wrongs

God Forgives Us Of Our Wrongs!

God forgives us of our wrongs!
And he wants us all, to try and get along!

He gave us his word and instructions…
But, too often, we don’t seem to “function!”

Something done, or something said…
And it’s like some people, wish you were “dead.”

Even in Christ’ body, there’s dysfunction from the start.
Ending up in another wounded and bleeding heart!

What if Christ treated us, like how we treat each other?
What if he turned his back, like we do our brother?

No matter the good... A list of wrongs is often kept.
What’s been done… Someone can’t seem to forget???

Do you find yourself, a person
 who’s easily offended?
By someone you don’t like,
 or one you’ve befriended?

May I suggest a “heavy dose” of 1 Cor. Thirteen?
The love of God can take care of ANYTHING!

If it didn’t, then Christ’ death is meaningless and lost.
He bore all of our sins that day on the cross!

If we can’t forgive your brother over something he’s done…
We need to ask forgiveness of Christ… God’s son!

There’s no excuses, in God’s
kingdom that’s eternal!
Will your name be written
 in heaven’s journal???

Premium Member Writing Wrongs

Should I write in rhyming words
are you babies I should coo
and speak of love and little boats
of Dr. Zeus’s zoo.

Should I compose a sonnet sweet
while prayerful folk are weeping
for war has come and killed their own
while their lulled hearts were dreaming?

Should I rave of man’s downfall
and never raise a hand
or shall I write of community
the unity of man.

Hand young and old, a tool to clone
a key to all this babble
an eye to see, a mind to grasp
let them lose the rattle.

For mind is bound to fortune
and blood is bound to pain
governments like sorcerer’s
will fall once it’s seen plain.

Take up the quill, and reach out
observe, recall, rescind
and the power you’ve given others
will be yours in the end.

Two Wrongs

Two Wrongs
If I left you.
Would you miss me.
Would you dream of me.
And long to kiss me.
Ever wonder how things would be.
If there were No "you and me".
Cause I've been thinking.
Things just don't seem to be working.
Thoughts of infidelity just keep lurking.
First you did it, then me too.
I did it to get back at you.
Now it`s tearing me in two.
Wasn't the right thing for me to do.
Wrong and wrong don't make it right.
Now I cry to sleep at night.
Think of things to make it right.
But they just aren't in my sight.
Things were good, we cant deny.
Then you gave someone else a try.
It makes me crazy wondering why.
So I'm leaving, I just cant stay.
Packing my things and going today.
You know I Love You, in every way.
No more words are left to say.
One last kiss from me today.
And Goodbye.
I'm on my way.

“Wrongs”
A million feet marching
A million feet bleeding
A million feet searching

Marching for life
Bleeding from war
Searching for beds

What is this for?
They have nothing left
Why did they lose?

The sun no longer shines
There are earthquakes, floods and fires.
There are wars, crime and hate
A million feet marching

The sky no longer bright
There is drought, pestilence, and starvation
There is sickness, illiteracy and poverty
A million feet bleeding

No stars in the night
There is politics, greed and wealth
There is abuse, disease and deadly shots in the dark
A million feet searching

There is.............
$200,000,000 on a space flight of four

There could be..............
$20,000 each to 10,000 under a bridge in Del Rio

Is there anything wrong
With this picture?
How insanely stupid are we?
