Best Wisteria Poems
One need not read her horoscope to know
this woman's fate, and though wisteria
cascades sweet blooms of lavender like snow
outside her door, it's still Siberia
pervading the dimensions of her mind,
for not one fickle thought or patch of moss
can thrive where bleakest shadows are enshrined.
No bittersweet, no dew drops. . . only loss
surrounds her heart. She tries to reminisce,
but like a barren continent grown cold,
she can't perceive one particle of bliss.
She's clasping grief and cannot be consoled!
Wisteria's perfume is in the breeze,
but in her soul remains a winter's freeze.
Winsome Wisteria Sonnet
Eden, open your ardent arms to grace
Wisteria's soft lilac petaled blooms
Draped stunningly about Spring’s sunny face
In softest shades of lavender like plumes.
Your aroma wafts heady in the breeze
When graceful racemes descend from above.
Divine as the frilling flowering trees
Your stunning sight captures my heart with love.
Goddess Venus must surely be aware
Of the glorious sight that you bestow
Like dainty dangling ringlets in Spring’s hair
As zephyrs sprinkle your petals below.
I am profoundly moved by your presence
And tranquilly transported with pleasance.

ever so slowly
she sheds her clothing
listening to winter’s song
she goes to sleep
dreaming of spring

Placed 5th
Among an arcade of arching willow,
multiplying in clusters of lilac confetti.
Enchanting petals droop from twin stems,
tantalisingly diffusing an alluring aromatic scent.
Hardy climbing vines, cascading from above,
yielding a timeless grace of floral splendour.
Sparkling in sunlight with leaves of khaki, i
testament of enduring spirit of flora.
Oh how this bodice is dressed in taffeta,
Lined with hundreds of lavender pleats
Spiraling, drooping, whirling
All over my voluptuous contour …
Bare these limbs grinding on soft moss
To tap among rustled displays
From many a lovers’ heat to children’s romp.
I gaze at my long tresses hung by threads
Of July frills, combing the strands
Delicate as clusters in a spin that ignites
The evening air, the lush of daylight’s vine…
And like Kojin in a free-fall prance, I cascade
Through a mantle of grass, my arms floating
Over wisps of mildest pink, of boldest lavender;
Then to curtsy in a prayerful Shinto bow
Under heaven's marquee where my chants
about lonesome tales are hushed in secrecy.
At nightfall, stars circle my lit frame,
The aroma of wisteria's mint huffs
outside my pores and unto an earthy glow;
Young the nippled buds swelling in lusty dusk
Till I gently writhe as a mystical shadow of the woods.

SPRINGTIME STANDARD CONTEST
~ The wisteria tree is packed with an assemblage
of purple blossoms, falling in tapered clusters
to symbolize a kneeling pose of honor and devotion
based on Asian folklore.

You loom aesthetically divine…

wisteria blooms
linger longer last awhile
after cherries plop
WISTFUL WISTERIA
wistful wisteria,
lavender-hued and laden
with grapelike produce.
wistful like a willow.
I’m hanging about the fence
where buzzing bees
remind me
of life and death.
amidst the ivy,
the hum of hives,
the lavender fruit
of the eyes.
wishful for paradise.

Wisteria winding along its trunk,
weaving a way to the sun —
squinting with anticipation.
The tree wrapped tight —
squeezed with a wisteria boa.
His only escape is to embrace the sun.
Onlookers comment at the beauty of
his arthritic knuckles and knotty trunk.
The ancient tree barely breathes,
as gathering kith and kin think him wise,
before he turns to dust.

Welcome, welcome my dear friends!
Come join me in my bower.
Lavender, lovely and luscious am I,
A most seductive flower.
My pendulous blooms they dangle,
Like grapes upon a vine.
Clusters of purple decorously draping,
A gazebo or fence line.
Come imbibe my heady fragrance,
As it wends through the warm Spring air.
Let my perfume embrace you,
Let it take away your cares.
Lavish me with sunshine bright,
Refresh me with abundant rain.
I am strong, wild, a free spirit,
Wisteria growing unrestrained.
Wisteria means welcome.

Sunday morning---
helping a wisteria
to stand again
Wisteria Vine,
Beauty undefined; fragrance
Unforgettable…
Not until when
(as blue lilacs loom)
Eurus allays
his wretched perfume
will stars overcome
nocturnal hysteria
fading to midnight
the blue-moon wisteria.

The perfume wonderful _what scent is that?
Splendid Wisteria's presence captures my senses
Oblivion to all duty on love's scent get fat
Purer than cleaned glass my thoughts; weakened defenses
The perfume_ wonderful_love's Wisteria no pretenses
