Hi Mike! First of all congratulations on your high flying win with your excellent poem "Eternal Breath"! I had commented on it previously. ~ Your feedback on this Tanka is very insightful; I love simplicity of expression, mellow and suggestive, then leave it to the reader to taste and savor according to mood. Thank you for enjoying and awarding it the highest accolades. ~ All the best....paul

Hi Linda...moving house can be quite stressful, even though for some it is fun. For sure it is time consuming and I can understand why you have not had too much time on your hands lately. I'll try and make it for the house-warming party :) hugs // paul

Wisteria has got to be the welcoming flower of heaven. I have see this spectacular blossoming vine cover a trellis in Sydney. It was gently blowing in a breeze and it took my breath away. The beauty of this poem has the same effect. Beautiful Paul! #7

Oh I like this, Paul. Lending human attributes to a subject in a modern tanka. Serene is the word that comes to mind. hugs!

Beautiful and tender ode to this dazzling flower. You write in a way that it's both natural and subtle. The words are unobtrusive, allowing the reader to slide right in. I once wrote a haiku about wisteria ... how cool, that you too was inspired by it.

The most beautiful of flowers often blooms from the plainest plants. The wisteria is one... the rose with thorns, the orchid. Lovely tanka, Paul, and a beautiful wisteria vine.
