Best Walk It Poems
Thank You Lord
Jesus you laid down your life for me
So I put my faith and trust in thee
The evil within tries to overtake
But I flee and resist for my soul’s sake
I stay focused on thy Lord
And yield temptations with thy sword
I turned from thy sins
And new life began
Lord, you taught me the way
And showed me I was drifting astray
Following the wandering sheep
That fled at the strike of the Shepherd’s greet
You cut down the trees and cleared a path
For those who walk it will escape the wrath
You planted the field with seeds
In hope of sprouting good deeds
It is only through your grace and mercy
That you give water, for those who drink shall never be thirsty
You are thy foundation
And deliverance out of salvation
You washed the stains from thy robe
And filled me with the spirit to stand bold
Saving me from death
And giving me everlasting breath
I wait patiently for the day
When the Lord will say
My child I am pleased
You have endured to the end
Now Come On In
Such a weight, these boulders of depression.
Carrying them has become a useless, sad obsession...
A way to define the core of self, the Inner Being
Only talk of lightening the load, no thought of ever freeing...
A soul's place is through the void, to be preserved forever in ice,
Ice of Blue hues and Nothings - so nothing to avoid.
Grey grit mixes with the mist of time expired. Dirty memories.
Several generations based on the same pattern.
Reproduced but not rewired.
Currents lost in cul de sacs and weeping men in doorways,
Bottled laughter auctioned off then vapourised by sun's rays.
Tell me this, TELL me the story -
is man aglow, or does he bask in God's Glory?
The wonderings and whisperings of those who need to blend.
No-one can figure out who is foe and who is friend.
Hearts breaking with audible cracks while demon's chew on pain,
keeping anger as their snacks.
Leaching colour from the world around.
Searching till every weakness is found - preying on insecurities and lust
till the last bones are but powder and dust.
Endless Grey is all I see.
Even my shadow has departed from me;
But I stand straight and hold myselt tall -
never moving in case I should fall.
Don't look left, and don't look right lest fear attacks your need for flight.
Loose the soul, cut silver threads for Divinity swings low.
Don't end the game before it's begun, take care to walk it slow...
Walk it slow for those who lag behind and fast for those who run.
Every searching till you find...
The Meaning of The One.
Fifty years, has it been so long?
It seems only yesterday
My blushing bride walked down the aisle
To give her heart away.
Freely did she give it
And gladly I received,
Then hand in hand down life's path
To walk it as we pleased.
Life has been good to you and me,
Though sometimes touched with sorrow,
But hand in hand we always knew
We could always face tomorrow.
I am content to walk with you
Until the very end,
My darling wife, my lover dear,
But most of all my friend.
Do you ever stop to wonder
as you go on about your life
why when people try just to be normal
you see dreams put to the knife
when you walk down the road
that you have chosen as your way
and you see the beaten path
as you walk it day by day
Do you ever look out from the path
and think it so unfair
that you often can glimpse beauty
and only wish that you were there
When the sight can take your breath away
do you smile, hope and pray
only to sadly drop your head
as the path once more turns away
Why fall prey to the hopelessness
and pain of dreams unwrought
why live a life filled with what ifs
when for those dreams you could have fought
The next time you catch a glimpse
of a place you want to see
tear your feet free from the path
and go where your heart wants you to be
So don't follow the path
but to your heart be true
to be alive is one thing
but to live is something new
So don't try to be normal
if your special let it show
let others be gently guided
by your hearts contented glow
Pray Thee, Sunrise Will Always Cheer Thy Soul
Pray thee, sunrise will always cheer thy soul,
sunset in red comforts thy seeking heart.
This world, with gleaming beauty pole to pole
always has more sweet blessings to impart.
Hold this thought, life has far too many paths
for one to walk it sad and all alone.
Troubles may come, products of Fate's dark wrath,
let courage and hope be thy cornerstone.
Seek love first, sooner rather than later,
for life ever seeks to find waiting Spring.
Discover Light's shining truth is greater,
when thee dares to learn to dance and sing.
New dawn sends the best in beaming first hour
proving its glory and awesome power.

"Jesus walked this lonesome valley
He had to walk it by Himself"
Even though surrounded by disciples
He walked it by Himself
Jesus stood up to fiery trials
He stood up by Himself
Even though He had disciples
Jesus stood by Himself
Jesus faced the establishment
He faced them all alone
He was the only defender
He stood by Himself_God atoned
He was surrounded by followers
When He healed the sick and blind
When the tide turned against Him
He stood all alone
A pile of raked leaves
no child to jump into them
A pet
no one to play with
An elderly couple
no one to give to
A house
that is not a home
An apple tree
no one to eat its fruit
A secluded path in an autumn’s woods
no lovers to walk it
Grab it. Nab it. Hug it quick.
Walk it. Talk it. Squawk it thick.
Enjoy each other every day
If you want true love to stay
Leave it. Loosen it. Walk away.
Think not in pink or green or gray.
Think in feelings- love and peace.
So your heart will never crease.
Grab it. Nab it. Hug it quick.
Embrace your bliss with a fast click.
Find the one who makes you smile.
You will skip and sing at each life mile.
Is freedom given? Is freedom taken?
Should San Andres sit, sit like the beggar?
Beg for freedom, beg to get better,
Or defy the oppressor, and our soul deliver.
Take your freedom, take it now!
For only beggars have no choice,
But we not beggars, we not dumb,
Take your freedom, take it now.
Take your freedom, it will be rough,
Speak it , walk it, sing it loud,
At freedom table, sit and chow,
Take your freedom, make it known.
Take your freedom, take it now!
With prison jail, chain and bars,
Just but few steps, from freedom hall,
Take your freedom, take it all.
Take your freedom, take it all!
Some may say, we will not thrive,
The sea the land blessed, God will provide,
Take your freedom, take it boy!
Take your freedom, take your land!
No more the oppressor, chain our hands,
Nicaragua or Colombia, none we want,
Take your freedom, take it man.
If take not freedom, but candy bars,
Come with offers, low wages brought,
And lies repeated, believe them all,
You’re still slave minded, get freedom y’all.
Take your freedom, and life preserve,
Endure the hardship, with death sentence roam,
Like great Mandela, in South Africa endured,
Take your freedom, free those who’ll come.
Take your freedom, from oppressors hand,
Nicaragua Colombia, distress our land,
Are both slave drivers, from Spain they learned,
Take your freedom, it’s God’s command.
Recall the straight and well-planned path of youth
mapped out so clear to lead us through life’s maze?
Though times I wandered off in prankish craze,
the road was there to find again in truth
when pangs of guilt nagged like an aching tooth.
I'd walk it once again, my heart ablaze,
spurred on by welcomed glory, love, and praise
doled out by elders from their judging booth.
How soon the road meandered here and there,
its outline—fuzzy, overgrown with weeds;
and when I think I've walked it at my best
those detour signs appear to bring despair.
Mature, I now must choose to suit my needs;
my only judge- a conscience well at rest.

The last mile of the way
It is a matter of must
To all and sundry,
Each and every man-jack
Has to walk it.
It is the real moment in deed
For one has to say, “Goodbye”
To those he loves.
One has to put down all his loads
And face the reality of time.
Blessed is the man
Who walks on camino real with the Lord.
Cursed is the peregrinator who peregrinate alone,
Who promenade Lordlessly.
The rich man blundered
To hell he was taken
For his life has been peripatetic and perfidious.
Confessions he tried
But confessions failed.
Remember, longest is the night
That is not followed by the day.
No matter how long the night
The day is sure to come.
With His cross on His shoulders
This mile the Lamb travelled,
Sinless and spotless the teacher was
And God the Almighty on His side He stood.
The impenitent Judas also travelled it
The mile was tough and dolorous
For his sins were accompanying him,
Suicide and sheol were his penultimate end.
Fight panophobia and euphorbia
With rectitude and optimism for heavenly opulence,
With clear conscience and faith in Him
Walk through the narrow door
Before the Master closes.
The writing is on the wall
“God shows no favouritism”
Let us travel this mile
With no wrinkle and spot
For this mile takes us
Into the hands of the Omniscious One.
Where our tears will be removed by Him,
Where there is eternal rest
Where there is no sorrows,
Neither death nor sicknesses.
Thought is a given
Right and wrong are choices we must decide
Wisdom instead of Ignorance
Peace of mind brings happiness
What we eat is who we are and choose to be
Run, walk, it should not matter - it all counts in the end
So many choices; yoga, self improvement, it's all good
Look in the mirror - what do you see
Decisions, decisions, don't put it off - now is the time
Our bodies deserve better
Deep inside our Soul beckons for more
What shall you do
I wish for you
warm happy thoughts
soft peaceful nights
kind lessons taught.
I hope that love
runs straight and true
but if it curves
you’ll walk it through.
Hold to your breast
fond memories
tranquil bonds of bliss
serenity.
When if your eyes
cloud up with tears
know that the Lord
will chase your fears.
Don’t let your smile
be doused by hate
throw it behind
won’t cross the Gate.
My wish for you
is that you see
a cherished life
is yours to be.
Take me there,
walk it upstairs,
do it anyways,
ignore the plains,
you've been there before-
within a walk or a gaze,
it's sin to return these ways,
so heed the fault,
build and then praise.
I think the car companies have done pretty good.
By making cars with something better under the hood.
Just try to imagine what they drove back in nineteen twenty.
I’ll bet you wouldn’t be seen in that today for love nor money.
In our cars we can travel from coast to coast;
without praying to the father, the son, and the holy ghost.
You know saving our planet shouldn’t be just a one way street
Why don’t we all pipe down, and get off our lazy little seat
Or we could all just preach to the choir like Jimmy Fallon.
Still waiting for the days of one hundred miles to the gallon.
I say put your money where your mouth is;
turn it around on them, and don’t give them the bizz.
If you’re at home go and sit outside.
When where you’re going is close; walk it don’t ride.
Think of all the money you’ll get to save and feel healthier too.
When we play our part the planet will keep its riches, and the Earth will thank you.
Yeah, who wouldn’t like a car that got three times the gas mileage, and didn’t pollute.
Instead of complaining about the way things are; lets all show we really give a hoot.
