I Feel African In Every Vein

I feel African in every vein
the arteries pulsate with love
this continent is so dear to me

I feel African in every breath
the challenges the world paints
I see not but beautiful Africa

All Africans here and far away
join me to hold Africa together
no piece should go to the winds

The unity of the land of Africa
the resources of the land of Africa
are gifts no humans brought here

Patriots of Africa come hold hands
this land you owe loving service
dust off yourselves to build Africa

Old Africa where is your wisdom?
come out of your boxes and unite
the world is vibrant, lets wake up

I feel African in every vein
Africa my sweet-heart duty calls

Premium Member Panning of the Vein

For a time we all must go away,
like orphaned memories
whos' only wish is to remain...
like windchimes in a hurricane
we lose the scent
of song
of self
of flesh
seeking to find what we think
we want and wish for-

For a time we must all go our way,
running swift to gleen the chain
to stroll from happy-saited-just to suckle pain:
lone lemming on the slippery edge,
for a time we all must go away-

Making trails like saturns rings
crossing minds with death's clear intent,
the opaque of pleasant things,
(brittle creatures in metal galaxies)
seeking whats inside our veins...
for awhile despite the truth of denial
like sandcastles in a driven rain
piece by piece or whole grain
we all must go away

but
we'll come back full(bloated) circle
after a thorough
panning of the vein
when the path back home
sings like a golden finch,
post-warm hearted rain...
for a time we all must go our way-

 for tracie and linda

Another Vein - - Another Valentine

Another Vein - - Another Valentine

Earth shattering silence you bring
The enveloped wing of your being fills me
Confessions of love are never enough

The more of me to you
Is another vein in my sleepless words
Written restless on hot sheets

How the taste of you
Lingers a sorcery of enchanted language speaks
Soft aphrodisia of my imaginings

Angel of passion in connotation
Your beauty pussy cats this hearts symmetry
Felled I fall so willingly

Lost in your captured palms
The cage of my ever dreaming love
Holding you would be enough

With the magnitude of the space in my heart
I will give you more
Than love can command

Opening the Vein

Right now
     I have words
flowing from my veins,
but what if it stops?
That can never happen
   all I have to do
   is slice another one open,
                     somewhere to dip my quill,
another way to release
       the torrent,
            the flows,
                 the waves
of emotion that crash within me.
To eat away at the walls
that they use to keep the likes of me out,
but that can never happen
     I go where I want,
           the more unwelcome,
                 the more I'll be there,
 slowly pounding,
                     eroding,
                        wearing down
the barricades they set
to keep out the malcontents,
                           the undesirable,
         the vile,
              the evil.

Yes tis I
the one no one would welcome
       howling in the back,
           scratching at the window,
               knocking at your door,
   pounding on your chest.

I have been here
                     forever....
      waiting....
           slinking....
              perched on your windowsill,
sitting just out of sight,
               'til the right moment.
That's how I do,
         that one second
                  can change your life,
and make mine last so much longer,
every little taste extends my being,
brings me closer to my next target.

As long as fear exists
        there will be me....

Premium Member Would You Share What Your Trail Means

Leaf vein if you could speak
Would you share what your trail means?
Would you explain yourself in scientific terms?
Or would you just smile
Keeping your veins
Mysteriously silent?

Premium Member Needle In the Vein

Where do you go when you leave here
Do you escape to that familiar haven in your brain
One of no more suffering
One of no more pain

No memory of where you have been in the real world
Or of things you may have done
There is blood on your clothes
Oblivious to whether you have hurt someone

Empty black spaces in your mind
What has occurred you are unsure
Another needle into already collapsed thin veins
So escape is once again assured

Night In Vein

~Night In Vein~

Cool and lucid, soul quenching night air,
working it’s magic, but rather too well.

Now, sat in a pub restroom writing,
mist haunted road visions, still swirling.

Then oh...how the blue haze danced in neon light,
a spectral rainbow exhaled, exhumed from deep within.

Behind it, left to sink, the wild dream,
the revelry under Moonlight’s smile.

Wandering without destination, a child in the night,
gone wild within night, feral or simply misunderstood.

Calling to a heaven’s gaze, invoking empyrean flames,
we scream aloud our secret name, to the waiting cobalt sky.

Morning gave us words and Paint, in clear mind no tint to taint,
refined by brush or pen; the mystery and sanctity of creation.

Inkwells,
vein of the Quills,
scribing upon parchments,
heavy laden with dark secrets,
blotted

Premium Member In a Lighter Vein

My brother, too big for his britches,
Said he wasn't scared of witches;
Of ghosts and goblins had no fear
And dared a demon to come near.

The morning after Halloween,
He was just nowhere to be seen.
We looked for him in woods and ditches,
In cubbyholes and hidden niches.

My mama couldn't find her broom.
We looked for it in every room.
I shouldn't laugh 'til I'm in stitches
At Brother carried off by witches.

A Hidden Vein

Can there be Thanksgiving
For those families displaced?
So many’ve been confronted with
The worst they’ve ever faced.

Homes destroyed, possessions gone;
A lifetime’s treasures lost.
It must be hard to think of thanks
While knowing what it cost.

Yet for survivors, life goes on
And surely they’ll reflect
On reasons to be thankful,
Maybe more than we’d expect.

For some misfortunes, though they’re cruel,
Surprise us and reveal
A hidden vein of fortitude
Which helps folks fix and heal.

So as the holiday draws near,
Though sorrow’s off the charts,
May all who suffer know
They're in our thoughts and in our hearts.

Vein

I tap into power, that channels my pain, I write and I write, enhancing my vain, that’s filled with this ink, that’s filled with my heart, my feelings break through, so that’s where I start, I don’t think it’s normal, I don’t think it’s sane, expression like this, my mind plays a game, ever revolving just like a storm, some words just don’t fit, they’re battered and torn, my words make a rhyme, of things I feel now, or things that are eating, or built up through time, it’s hard to explain, why I feel this way, or why I write this , rather than say, and speak face to face, emotions I hide, the man with the smile, is stood by you’re side, is this about me, or somebody else, if nobody speaks, and nobody tells, so please just be kind, to stranger or friend, a smile or a hi, make this a trend, for we do not know, what fights being fought, we’re in this together, the balls in you’re court.

Vein of Life

Full river flowing into the open bay.
Standing on a stone bridge.
On a morning day.

Levy’s are built to hold water in.
To stop the cycle of,
Embankment water erosion.

A main flowing, vein of life.
Keeps our world fresh, and all things alive..

Premium Member Minichu: The Vein of Inspiration

Verses written with veins,
On thin, irregular lines, pulsing chambers find,
Growing pains.

Thirsty for eyes,
As each word, poured from vessels mined,
Surmise.

Alone,
Praise-seeking grind,
Blown.

Verses written with veins,
As each word, poured from vessels mined,
Blown.

Premium Member Her Pulse Leapt Out of Her Vein

Astral eagle is back to take Samantha to exotic places.
In Dubai she finds her prince again; his brown eyes are smoldering.
Samantha is in Nirvana; this world better than the other one
Nothing disturbs her; she sighs with relief.
He was waiting; she had hoped he would be.

He is not real her sister had told her, wanting to set her up.
There was nothing more real as he ran a finger down her throat.
She felt her pulse leap almost out of its vein.
Her heart was pumping double time.
He leaned in and gently touched his lips to her.

She began to writhe among her sheets.
Wanting something, yet not fully knowing what.
She was untouched. A novice to this kind of erotic play.
The eagle brought her back in the form of an alarm clock.
She woke up quickly, but disoriented.
Irritated, completely unfulfilled.
There is always tonight, the eagle whispered….
