Verses written with veins, On thin, irregular lines, pulsing chambers find, Growing pains. Thirsty for eyes, As each word, poured from vessels mined, Surmise. Alone, Praise-seeking grind, Blown. Verses written with veins, As each word, poured from vessels mined, Blown.

Thanks, Andrea. I find it difficult too and I think that's why I enjoy it so much. Worrying over every word to make sure it supports what you're saying and stays within the syllable count -- some are more successful than others but I feel fiercely loyal to them all :)

You are one of the most thoughtful commenters and I hope you know how much I appreciate the way you read verse so deeply. Your writing, too, has a depth to it that I admire and find myself a little jealous of from time to time. Keep on keeping on, as they say.
