Valuable values

A child receives a beautiful toy,
it came in a cardboard box
with shiny wrapping paper.
A short time later
the child was seen
playing with the box
and the toy was abandoned in the corner.

Was it because the child was ungrateful?
Did the child not appreciate the value
of the gift?
Did the child not understand
what the gift was?
Did the child not comprehend
that the box
although it was beautiful,
it was empty, and had no value?

It's hard to comprehend all the why's,

but sometimes even we as adults
do the same things.

We value empty things
with shiny wrappers,
more than things of real value.

For example:

What's worth more, has more value,
your values, or money?
Would you compromise morals
your values, for riches and success?

Many do, thinking they will be happier
with more things.

Take Hollywood as an example:

Many have achieved fame and fortune
yet have not attained true happiness.

They chased the shiny boxes of success
because of the shiny wrapping paper
but in the end they are left feeling
empty.
Don't believe me?
why then do the rich and famous
also commit suicide?

Let's not make the same mistakes...

we can learn that our values
are what's valuable,
and when they are compromised,
or sacrificed,
we lose,
more than what we may gain.

When we lose our values
we lose ourselves....
because we are the gift...
we have the gift of life...
we prove by how we use it,
or abuse it,
whether we are grateful,
or not,
for the gift,
to the giver,
or whether we prefer
shiny empty boxes.

The Most Valuable Sense of All

The sense of sight…
To picture our world each day.
The sense of touch…
To kiss the pain and tears away.

The sense of smell…
As lungs fill with the air we breathe.
The sense of taste…
As flavors on the tongue they weave.

The sense of hearing…
For the music of children at play.

But the most valuable sense of all,

A sense of humor…
So no matter what, you can laugh each day.

You Are Valuable To God

You’re Valuable To God!

You‘re valuable to God! He gave you his best!
You can enjoy his love,
peace and rest!

You‘re valuable to Jesus!
He bled and died…
He sacrificed his life for you,
and was crucified!

You’re valuable! You were bought
 with the Lord’s blood.
Everything he’s given to you is
because of his love!

You’re valuable to God, and so
wonderfully made!
A way to get to heaven
 has already been paid!

You’re valuable and precious!
One of a kind!
When God created this world.
 He had YOU in mind!

You’re valuable to the lord!
He wants you to know…
Not all of the world’s money
can purchase your soul!

You’re valuable to God!
He offers his salvation.
You can enjoy his peace
and sanctification!

You’re valuable to God!
Won’t you come to him?
And experience his love,
 and the forgiveness of sin?

 God offers to you eternal
 life that’s precious!
He speaks to you from a heart
 of mercy and kindness!

The Most Valuable Thing...

"If there is one thing that you will never own is the world and all its life. The world
is one of the most valuable things ever existed, no matter how much you have
studied it, how many misteries you have tried to solve, how many stories you
have made about it, only the world knows what it has gone through. If it goes
back to those days where dinosaurs use to walk on land, if it goes back to those
times when giants use to live their lifes, if it goes back to the beggining of
creation, only the world and its eyes truly knows what has happened...because
as he world's ages increases, the more valuable it gets..."

God's Love Is the Most Valuable Gift

God's love is the most valuable gift..

God loves you and me with an everlasting love
He has drawn us with His loving kindness
God wants us to love our enemies and do good to all
and nothing to expect anything in return
Because He will reward us with His love and mercy
God's love is the most valuable gift to obtain from Him
His love is very different from human love.
It is unconditional love without feelings or emotions
His love is beautiful with divine power and peace
God's love is a vision of our life and power of nature
God is love and His wisdom and faith lives in our soul
God's grace is freely given to us and let His love come in
God truly is the comforter and we have to pray Him
God loved our universe and gave His begotten son
Jesus Christ and told us who ever believeth His son
should not perish, but having everlasting life.
Because of love for us, God's son Jesus Christ gave His
life on a cross at Calvary.

Premium Member Beautiful, Rare, Valuable Gemstones

Black opal is the rarest and most valuable opal for distinctive vibrant
“play-of-color”, as the dark body tone of the stone enhances the
beautiful and brilliant colors of blues, greens, yellows, oranges and
fiery reds. It is an exceptional opal that can rival or surpass diamonds.

Blue paraiba tourmaline is rare and valued for unique, electric color,
renowned for vivid, vibrant neon blue green to turquoise hues.
It is the most rarest of tourmalines for incandescent glow that
appears to light up the stone and is sought by gem collectors.

Valuable Asset Or Economic Liability

When we come out of lockdown,
Will we invite the old uptown?
To fit them for a crown,
Or send them downtown
For someone to put them down.

Will we look to them to make the economy stable?
Or pass the baton to those less able,
Will we be lining up to sit at their table?
Or kicking them out to the stable.

Will we seek their wisdom?
Or facilitate their doom,
So, we can take over their room,
And pull down the shades on our own gloom.

My hope is that we listen to economists,
Who may not be sentimentalists,
Yet can recognise valuable assets,
And those who they would like to cross off their lists.

Premium Member This Might Become Valuable Stuff

Can't believe how much junk we collect
In our normal day to day living
Won't throw stuff out, may need it again
Napkins from last year's Thanksgiving

Hankies Mom used to keep in her sleeve
Smelled good but not anymore
Love letters from a sweetheart of mine
Old pictures we took by the score

Some preserves from the nineteen-sixties
They're sure looking kind of iffy
Don't open the jar for fear little animals
Will jump out and bite off your bippy

An argyle sweater my Daddy once had
The suit I wore at four years old
Walked down the aisle with the flower girl
When my sister got married I'm told

Junk we keep, cause someday we'll need it
But someday never quite reaches us
So we keep on gathering this useless junk
This “might become valuable” stuff

This Gentleman's Workday

Arose before dawn
Smelled the coffee
Fed my dog
Worked in a workout
Showered and dressed
Drove ahead of the pack
First in the building
Dove headfirst into work
Developed and crunched concepts
Made calls and commitments
Met people shook hands
Exchanged and grew trusts
Followed through and advanced
Checked up on progress
Oiled wherever needed
Jumped inevitable hoops
Made sure all were pleased
Refused all distractions
Did the best that I could
Stayed focused and faithful
Performance objectives achieved
Was a well oiled machine
Turned off the lights
Drove home in the dark
Quantified the day
Satisfied with exception
Smiles were mostly obligatory
Heart remained disengaged
Were you my reward
At the end everyday
The brass ring I reach for
Would transform into gold
Cut excess work-time
Embark in joyful productivity
Blessed forevermore creating with you
Fed my dog
Fed me
Said my prayers
Went to bed
