Of jaded muses and digital distractions - POTW

The allure of mused poems,
No longer visits this nonchalant psyche.
It trickles now, once a roaring torrent
Now a lazy stream

Am like a desultory jaded heaven
Where starry jewels once decked the night,
But are now drossy shadowy blackholes,
And sparks and dreams,
Are ripped in the accretion disc.

No longer avid, but seeking meaning in the mundane.
No longer enraptured by the she said, he said,
And all that jazz, no iota of care; for trifling muses,
Their short goodbyes or critique, no not one,
Their infighting and bad blood, no longer,
No nuts to crack, nor rain to flush, no iota of care.

It was never about who is better,
Neither has it been nor will it ever be,
About any Magnum Opus.

Like doors closing and skies descending,
Each visiting muse devoid of ardor,
Oblivious to the yawning dawn,
Or the scent of sprouting posies.
Jaded, without allure or sheen
And devoid of all its lustre.

Maybe one day soon a spark will reignite
And reanimate this frenetic mused madness
But until then...

I remain adrift in this sea of trivialities,
Worrying about trifling stuff
Like ad blockers and AI opinions
And irked...

By their emasculating knowledge

The Magic of September Wind

The Magic of September Wind

IMPORTANT NOTE: I have changed this Poem into a love Song with some changes
here and there and soon you can hear this Song on my music channel on You Tube RavindraKK1 or on my Radio Jango's 'Ravindra K Kapoor Radio'

The cool soothing breeze,
Which blows today,
Shall not be the same,
Touching my heart tomorrow.

The night Moon which peeps,
From behind the moving clouds,
Shall be telling,
A different story tomorrow.

The stars which appears to be,
Singing a Song,
When the cool wind touches,
May not twinkle with a smile tomorrow.

The alluring clouds,
Which moves and swings in the sky,
With the dancing leaves and trees,
Will be forming some new shapes tomorrow.

The butterflies and birds,
Which sings a joyous song,
To welcome the blooming flowers and wind,
May not be spreading their wings tomorrow.

The Rainbow which has opened,
Gateway of colors to invite and welcome,
The migrating birds of September,
May not be visible even after Rains tomorrow.

All that moves and fills my heart,
With the beauty of Nature and the magic of Love,
May be pleasing some other eyes,
And it wouldn't be called mine tomorrow.

But the joy and love they have given to me,
While enchanting my mind and heart,
Will never vanish from the thoughts of my mind, and
It would remain there as a Song for today and tomorrow.

Premium Member Parody of Flanders and Swann

Parody of The Gas Man Cometh by Flanders and Swann

It was on a Monday morning the boiler man came to call
Said he’d return with spare parts - but I’d have to wait till fall

It was on a Tuesday morning the tax man came to call
I told him he could sling his hook - for I'd nothing left at all

It was on a Wednesday morning the banker came to call
I told him to get on his bike or he was heading for a fall

It was on a Thursday morning the psychiatrist came to call
I welcomed him into the lounge and left him staring at the wall

It was on a Friday morning the doctor came to call
He said there was no hope for me - the writing’s on the wall

It was on a Saturday morning the undertaker came to call
He took away my dead body – it’s of no use to me at all

It was on a Sunday morning the relatives finally came to call
To see what I’d left them in my will – I’d left them b***er all!

While I Was Standing Near My Autumn Tree

While I was standing near My Autumn tree

The Sun was fading, with all its grandeur and beauty,
Somewhere far, very far away amid the Poplar trees.
I was in a state of enchanted stillness,
Beholding the gold which was showering on me,
With every gush of wind coming from the east.

The earth was wrapped in a lovely darkness,
Slowly the Sun rays slipped away from the hands of the evening, but
It embraced the night in her arms perhaps to console its forlorn heart.

I was glued with the fragrance of Autumn, while the Sun was still fading slowly,
Leaving only a yellow and radish glow in the sky.

The golden leaves of Poplar were still falling on me,
Coming to me while flying from the Poplar tree.
Suddenly the birds said adieu to me, reminding me once again the passing of time,
While I was standing near my Autumn tree.

The Memories of a Dancing Peacock

The Memories of a Dancing Peacock
( Based on a true incident captured in my Camera )

I was in a mood to sing, and

The Peacock was in a mood to dance,

My singing came, while watching the beauty and

The beauty started unfolding its wings and charms,

As if the Peacock was listening the songs,

I was singing, silently in my mind.

Oh, what a joy it was to feel and share,

Those wonderful moments

I spent with that beautiful bird,

Who kept dancing and dancing,

Till the song continued in my mind silently.

You and I may not be dancing or living forever, O, bird,

But the image, which you have engraved on my mind and

The rhythms of that joy and pleasure,

Which you have left,

Would continue to generate always,

The music of silence and beauty in every mind.

Premium Member Spectacular Skies

Scene of such grand pageantry, men flock to view in legions.
Phenomenon to behold in most Northern of Earth's regions.
Energies of atmospheric particles meet and burst in collision
Creating the most illustrious spectacle dancing into my vision.
Trails, as if rising to Heaven, glowing phosphorous apparition.
Aurora Borealis; cascades of light stretching across the skies
Curl and wave in beauteous rhapsody before awestruck eyes.
Under guise of king and queen, they dance as pawns look on.
Luminous waltzing monarchs on their chess board until dawn.
Alluring colors blending, shades of red, purple, green and blue,
Radiant aura painted by the hand of God, a gift for me and you.

Cloud- a Song In Hindi With Song Lines In English

An instant Hindi Song with its English Version for Poetry Soup friends.

Hindi Lines in Roman English

"yoon to roj, baadal
bahut se aate hain
kabhee ud kar ye
kabhee yu heen chale jaate hain
kabhee barasate hain
saghan megh ban, kar ye
kabhee rang aur khusaboo se,
bikhar jaate hain.
Simate hote hain, inamen
teree bheenee see khusaboo ke
suhaane jhonke bhee
jo havaon ko bhee,
is fiza kee
mahaka jaate hain
par aate hain jab bhee
ye suhaane baadal
meree aankhon ko
nam karake jaate hain."

Song Lines in English

Every day, these clouds come and
They come in abundance,
Sometimes, they come flying and
they just go away,
Sometimes these clouds come
to shower their heavy rains,
But sometimes they spread only
Their fragrance and colours.

These clouds also contains
The gushes of your sweet pleasing fragrance,
Which diffuse the entire atmosphere
By the beauty of that mild aroma,
Which hangs everywhere.

Whenever
These beautiful clouds come
They fill my eyes
With some tears also.

Photo Poem . 01

In English-
.
These beautiful swans adjusting their wings slowly
While focusing their eyes and concentration in the lake water
The Sun seems a little uneasy in such calm & quietness
The magic of the scene enchanted even the winds
Earlier, such a scenic beauty was so common
in our villages near ponds and puddles
But all this is lost in the dust of modern forests
We no more see frequently those farm and the barns
How very far away,
We have gone from our beautiful Natural surroundings
From the enchanting inherent beauty of our country's life. "
.
In Hindi
.
"ye apanee pankhon ko hole se samet kar baithate
paanee mein nazaren tikaate sundar se Hans pakshee
khaamosh fizaaon mein kuchh machalata sa sooraj
ye thahari havaon ka madahosh karata jaadoo
pahale kabhee dikhata tha har gaanv aur pokhar par
par khoya ye sab, ab aadhunik jangal mein
ab to khet aur khalihaan bhee nahin dikhate aksar,
kitane door ho gae hain hm, sb se apne sundar parivesh se
apanee desh ke jeevan kii sundarata aur sahajata se."

Away far away
I can see my dreams
When they rise to kiss
Your morning beams.

Away far away
Are your Golden Rims
But I can smell the fragrance
In your light and in your beams.

Away quite far away
Are the Mountain peaks
I am climbing
To reach and to touch your feet.

The rocks are hard
And the journey too difficult
May be my body is tired
But not my soul.

And I am moving and walking
While Singing my Songs
To reach near you
Some day O' My Dreams.

And I am moving and walking
While Singing My Songs
To reach near you
Some day O' My Light & Beam.

Summer days are coming
To take you in my arms
In summer nights, we shall be
Singing our love songs.

When the Moonlight would rise
The sleeping waves of Sea
And your sweet arms would be
Encircling me close to thee.

Summer days are coming
To take you in my arms
In Summer nights, we shall be
Singing our love songs.

I know why you watch
The Sea waves rising to kiss
When the Moon began to pour
Its love drops on the Sea.

Watching the joy of Sea waves
You always come in mood
And then like the rainy clouds
You shower your love on me.

Summer days are coming
To take you in my arms
In summer nights, we shall be
Singing our love songs.

O’ Darling I am waiting
For the Summer days to come
As in summer days you shower
Your rain like love on me.

Summer days are coming
To take you in my arms
In summer nights, we would be
Singing our love songs.

THE SUN AND THE DARK
CLOUDS

And finally the dark
clouds
Engulfed the Sun
And its beams which
were spreading
The Light of Love
and Happiness for
all.

But how long the
dark suspicious
clouds
Can really stop
The Sun to show the
glares of its Light
And the pleasing
love of its
Beautiful beams?

Nothing can stop
Anything
Which comes out
spontaneously
Like the Oozing of
the light of love
And the grace of God
sublime.

Prayer Poem Dedicated To Malala of Pakistan

Prayer Poem Dedicated to Malala of Pakistan

Malala has dedicated her childhood to championing education for girls like her in Pakistan. As she lies in a hospital bed, a tragic victim of Taliban gunmen, let's help make her dream come true.

Pakistan's constitution says girls should be educated alongside boys, and the government has the resources to make it happen. But politicians have ignored that for years, influenced by extremist religious groups, and now, only 29% of girls attend secondary school. Study after study has shown the positive impact on personal and national income when girls are educated. Courtesy Avaaz

I have Twitted My Photo Poem on 17th Oct 2012 for Malala
https://twitter.com/i/#!/kapoor_/media/slideshow?url=pic.twitter.com%2FsRpkWvZI

A Prayer to God (Khuda)

Let knowledge & education
Touch and shape the dreams
Of every girl child
Of Pakistan.

Let the flowers of real Happiness
As it blooms, on the charming face of Malala
Touch the smiles
Of every citizen of Pakistan.

Let the light of Khuda (God)
Flashes on the minds
Of all the citizens of Pakistan
Who want to see
A prosperous and Happy Pakistan.

Let education and knowledge
Bloom to spread their fragrance
For all the Girl childs
Of India and Pakistan.

Kanpur India 17th Oct 2012

Note: I pray to God to save the life of this precious girl Malala, who was trying to save the lives of hundreds and thousands of girl children of Pakistan from getting lost in the darkness of Illiteracy.

The Love Story of Kacha and Devayani- 4

Kacha

Yes I know
What you are saying
Is absolutely
True Devayani
But you are not
trying
To understand
That my memories
Of these wonderful
moments
Are betraying me
When I try to recall
them. 09

It has put me
In a perplexed
situation
Dear friend
On the one hand
The idea of the
gained knowledge
Is constantly
disturbing my mind
As it is undoubtedly

The rarest amongst
All the rare things
And an achievement
Which any one would
like to dream
And for which
One would like to
live
And would even love
to die. 10

Such a lofty
knowledge
Has been gained by
me
Because of you only
Dear Devayani
To accomplish
Some greater causes
And it is because of
that need
I seek your
permission
To leave this
wonderful place
Dear Devayani.11

Devayani

Try to recall Kacha
The day
When you first
reached here
From heaven as a
teenage boy
When I was playing
In the garden with
my friends
And you requested me
To take you
To Guru Sukracharya*

Without knowing
That he was my
father. 12

You wanted to become
his disciple
So that you may
learn
From him
The secret knowledge

Of reviving the
dead,
But my father
Had flatly refused
To impart that
knowledge
To you
Because you were a
representative
Of Gods. 13
