Believe in God and put your trust in Him.
With faith, you’ll stumble not; nor will you plod.
Pray strongly though your problems seem too grim.
Uprightly walk the souls who talk with God.

God’s blessings He is eager to bestow.
*The Bible tells us: “Seek and ye shall find.”
From faithful hearts God’s living waters flow.
To know Him is to live with peace of mind.

*From Matthew 7:7

Premium Member My Heart Is Heavy

My heart is heavy...
heavy with memories of your booming laughter
your mischievous twinkling eyes
and your engaging banter

My heart is heavy...
heavy with hope
that this is not the end
that I'll see you again
in that sweet never ending day

My heart is heavy...
heavy with love
love for my father's brother
my second father
a man of faith
dedication
and service

My heart is heavy...
heavy with sorrow
heavy with a subdued joy
for death is not the end...
not for those who believe
those who grieve
will be comforted....

My heart is heavy...
heavy with the promise
of resurrection morn
where I will see you
not bedridden
not lost in Alzheimer's confusion
but young and strong
remade in His image

My heart is heavy...
My heart is light...

"O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" (I Corinthians 15: 55-57)

The righteous perish,
    and no one takes it to heart;
the devout are taken away,
    and no one understands
that the righteous are taken away
    to be spared from evil.
2 Those who walk uprightly
    enter into peace;
they find rest as they lie in death. (Isaiah 57: 1 & 2)

The Ballad of Ol' Joe'

*Come and listen to my tale about a man named Joe.
Who was Jesus Christ? Well, he didn't really know'
Then one day he read John, Chapter three;
His eyes were opened up and he began to see.
Pearls of truth, that is; wisdom, pure love'

First thing you know, ol' Joe did repent,
Of things he had done and places where he went.
His life turned around in such a drastic change.
That family and friends thought he was really strange'
A loose cannon, that is; three bricks shy of a full load'

Joe began to read, and he began to pray;
The Lord began to show him a new and living way'
He taught Joe how he could walk in love,
Just like his Heavenly Father above.
In Holiness, that is; sanctified; uprightly.

Ol' Joe kept a-studying and he kept on a-growing'
By his testimony the kinsfolks knew where he was goin'.
He would witness on the corner and even on the stairs,
When persecution rose up, he didn't have a care.
Total peace; surrendered; anxious for nothing'

Joe loved to talk to people- that became his ministry.
He turned many souls from a God-less eternity'
And as Joe advanced in his earthly years,
He became ever more thankful for Jesus, so dear.
     Wonderful counselor; Saviour; friend'

Now it's time to say goodbye to Joe and all his friends.
They would like to thank "y'all" for kindly droppin' in
You're each invited to join Joe for all eternity,
To worship at God's Throne and praise His Majesty'

                                                                                Arthur Ball (H.S.L.P.)
                                                                                March 4, 2007

Premium Member Glorious Lover

Glorious lover, heartbeat of my hope
Pour out your joy on me,
Color me in hues of praise and worship
Remind me why I yearn for you
The One who brings grace to me

Glorious lover, Savior of my soul
Rain down your light on me,
Whisper faith into my silent thoughts
Paint me in starlight and moon glow
Because You know the night
As well as the sun’s brilliant light

Glorious lover, wonder of my thoughts
Empty me of all my selfishness,
Sing serenity to my spirit, my senses
Fill me with inspiration and giving
Release me from fear and darkness
Bring me through the valley
To the mountain tops where I’ll know
You as the splendor of my heart

Glorious lover, Redeemer of my soul
Drench me in your miracles,
Delight me with your peace and love
Inspire me to give from my heart
With a love that is brought to life by You
The answer to all my prayers
For a peace and surpasses understanding

Glorious lover, Deliverer of my dreams
Fill me with your kindness,
Your never ending light, your fire
The music that praises with pure hope
Brought to life by the one who knows
You are the wisdom, the faith, the grace
You are the brilliance of a flame
That casts its light through the spirit

Glorious lover, Protector of my peace
Never leave me… for you are the reason
I can walk uprightly, shining brightly
With the faith that You stirred inside me
To guide me and remind me that You are
Alive, a hope, a light, the sense of life
That will forever be alive, always inspired
By the One who made me and gave me…
His Son, the glorious lover of my soul,
The grace that will bring me back home

Glorious lover,.. Savior… I praise You!

In the House of My Dear Father

**********************************************************************

How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of host! My soul longs, yes, even faints for

The courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God *

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where

She may lay her young----even Your alters, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.

Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising You. Selah ~

Blessed is the one whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage.

As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring; the rain also

Covers it with pools. They go from strength to strength; each one appears before

God in Zion. O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah *

O God, behold our shield, and look upon the face of Your anointed. For a day

In Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of

My God, then to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield

The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those

Who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed are they whom trust in You *

Bigfoot's Ancient Great Granddaddy

Who is Bigfoot’s Great-grand Daddy?

Whether living in a city or on the mountain side,
People from the world around astound us with their views.
He’s nine-feet tall, a hairy thing, uprightly he flees astride.
Only tracks are left behind and the mystery accrues.

They say that Big Foot does exist and for eons has survived.
A humanoid of greatest size a hairy manlike beast.
Is he really all they say, or are the stories contrived?
And if he lives, tell me, are our imaginations fleeced?

(Genesis 27 … paraphrased…)
Jacob goes to get two goats and steal his father’s blessing.
Their mom prepared a feast of goat, delicious, to Isaac’s taste.
Then, tied goatskin to Jacob’s neck and hands, realizing.
Jacob dressed in Esau’s clothes calmly goes to his father with haste.

Meanwhile, Esau, far away was hunting for venison as asked.
Traipsing around through the scrubby woods tracking.
Moving quickly with his great might to fulfill his father’s task.
A man with hair like that of a goat, his birthright was loosing.

Jacob smelled like Esau and the fields, but his voice…
Isaac questioned, so he felt Jacob’s goatskin clad hands.
Satisfied by the goatskin disguise, destiny made its choice.
Jacob received a blessing of wealth and all of his father’s lands.

When Esau returned with the venison feast, deceit was revealed.
But it was too late his birthright was gone; he was very mad.
“Give me a blessing, father please.” He begged as he kneeled.
You shall live on the fat of the earth…unyoked…his father said.

I wonder –
Is Bigfoot, like Esau, a hunter-gatherer with hands as hairy as a goat?
Does he live independently, a type of man, a scary giant beast?
Wandering upon earth, too and fro, with life barely afloat.
Brothers separated by that ancient deceit filled feast.

Is Bigfoot the hunter-gatherer living on the fat of the land?
Has he since the day of Rachael’s scam lived secluded and beastly?
Have generation upon generation descended that ancient hunting man?
Could Isaac in the Bible be Big Foot’s ancient Great-grand Daddy?

Premium Member When I Am Old, Blessed By God

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalm 32:8). Today, and when I am old, this precept assured to me by God remains steadfastly immutable. With my trust in Him, I am confident of a triumphant and blissful future. These include the wondrous enjoyment of everlasting life, the glorious worship of the Almighty Creator, the love-filled fellowship with the saints forever. Thus, when I am old, I see myself upheld by the might of my Saviour with my spiritual bio note shining with these divine attributes the Lord endowed me with: redeemed, ransomed, regenerated. Meanwhile, though my physical strength would diminish and natural beauty fade when I get old, my faith’s luster would become all the more radiant. Such truth prompts and prods me now through God’s power to pursue and persevere toward a vibrant and meaningful lifestyle that will never haunt me, and be my miserable regret when I am old.

Faith-anchored champion…
that is me when I am old
because of God’s might!

When I am old, empowered by God with His care, I stay cleaving to His grace, delighting in His mercy, and seeking for His favour. Though afflicted with infirmities and wearied by trials, I would constantly be grateful for His faithfulness, appreciative of His peace, and joyous for His answers to my prayers. Through my heavenly citizenship, I strive to become the cheerful pilgrim and obedient steward He wants me to be while leading others to His light, preaching His Gospel with compassion, and advancing His kingdom. With that, this is my plight, anchored upon Psalm 90:12, “Lord, please teach me to number my days, that I may apply my heart unto wisdom, as I work well to present myself unto You with praise, when I am old.”

God’s grace* when I’m old
works best for service-utmost…
wondrous gift to share!

*Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Illumined by God thru the Scriptures’ light
Led to do the Lord’s will with the Spirit’s might
Loved so much around the Saviour’s compassion-delight
Upheld for faith-driven good works’ height
Moved toward grateful worship, joyously bright
Imparted with divine nature that is godly and right
Nourished by grace* and mercy day and night
Assured of eternal salvation’s security for heaven’s flight
Directed along holiness-walk midst spiritual fight
Attended to in prayer plight, I rejoice in the Father's presence, devoid of fright!

Accepted am I as God’s child with His certainty
Guided by His prudent authority
United to His supreme purpose of great sovereignty
Sanctified for effective witness-integrity
Taught to trust always the wisdom of the Almighty
Inspired as enabled in fulfilling steward’s duty
Nurtured with God’s provisions, I abide in His security!

Driven toward willing obedience faithfully
Ordered to share the Gospel diligently
Liberated against selfish agenda powerfully
Instructed with Bible truths constantly
Named as God’s own to live for Him triumphantly
Trained to testify about His goodness gladly
Always, I thank and praise the Lord sincerely.

A Friendly Exoneration

Twinkly bunch with loaded school bags
Ambition injustice and itching their backs,
Cunning those faces in front of the gate
Heedful pupils well-chosen apparently late.
A fistful primary breeziness
Shared with smiles, tears and silliness,
Together they brawled, together they fiddled
At times they often complained to be differentiated.
Kiddo little minds and parents appeared unjustified
They cried, they blamed and they lazed,
Loaded by books and rat raced tutelage
They pass by a very dignified teen-age.

Out from the custody of cynosure
Together they stepped towards Lyceum liberty,
Few were classed and few remained united
The formers became edified and rests were unidentified.
A masked – small compliments and the evening aloha
The river side sunset appeared to be ambiguous –
A fiesta time boogie and the overnight cockeyed
At times such occasions made them to blab out their twinkly time.
Grown up as buddies and with time they rationalized
Affairs, status and outlook made them more gratified,
Traits made them parted and one cried in solitary
The formers humiliated the frailer and the frailer remained solely.

Lost in their computations, explores and technological justifications
Few carried out degree uprightly and few were abased shamefully,
Bucketed with knowledge, numbers, meetings and self-worth
They neglected those twinkly smiles who were grown up with assorted life.
Few became responsible and few got hold of ménage
Few were invited and rests seemed out of the sight.
Hearsays few get together known to be friendly trinity
Yet there also they lived with different hierarchy.
Left away life they sacrificed the age of assorted life
One who lived with it can now front the barbarous life.
They lost themselves to their twinkly buddies’ mobilization
Upcoming in their lives they will surly come by friendly exoneration.

Premium Member He Lives In Me

where does God lives
up there or within me
if there is God in the sky
why can't he hear my cry
why can't he feel my pain
is it because he has eyes but can't see
he has ears but can't hear
why do I live in constant fear
if he is a good judge
why is his world unfair
may be there is no reason
in living justly
being truthfull and living uprightly
why should he discriminate against me
why can't he save me from slavery
if he is my protector
evil men becomes richer and stronger
may be living a positive life
is my failure
who will be a good door keeper
is it God or my neighbor
if people around me
are not truthful and helpful
why won't life be
so painful and stressful

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Lifting Me Up

August 8 Scripture Meditations Based on Ezekiel 4-11

Key Verse – Ezekiel 11:1 Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of the LORD'S house…

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR LIFTING ME UP

Thank You for lifting me up against sin-downfall
By Your forgiveness of pardon’s call
That cleanses my soul from wickedness, whether big or small
So I can stand uprightly tall upon Your mercy’s hall.

Thank You for lifting me up against error-backsliding
By Your holiness of graciousness’ upholding
That pulls my heart from defilement’s degrading
So I can forbear godly scolding.

Thank You for lifting me up against guilt-pressure
By Your righteousness of kindness’ measure
That drives my faith from fears’ enclosure
So I can pursue toward heavenly treasure.

Thank You for lifting me up against distress-discouragement
By Your truth of inspiration’s enduement
That propels my spirit from worldliness’ enticement
So I can seek Your revival fulfillment.

Thank You for lifting me up against slothfulness-sluggardness
By Your love of power’s effectiveness
That pulls my body from laziness
So I can labour with diligent earnestness.

Thank You for lifting me up against vanity-torture
By Your sufficiency of satisfaction’s gesture
That settles my emptiness from nothingness’ posture
So I can pray upon trust-filled venture.

Thank You for lifting me up against anxiety-disposition
By Your joy of goodness’ provision
That ends my discontentment-bouts midst dissatisfaction
So I can continue in Your constant compassion.

August 29 Scripture Meditations Based on Micah 1-2

Key Verse – Micah 2:7 O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORDS THAT DO GOOD TO ME

Thank You for Your words that do good to me midst suffering…
For my soul to trust Your nurturing
Since You protect me from sins’ torturing
Making me strong with biblical truth-bearing.

Thank You for Your words that do good to me midst sorrow…
For my heart to rely on You in my tomorrow
Since You guard me from Satan’s arrow
Making me cheerful as I spiritually grow.

Thank You for Your words that do good to me midst sacrifices…
For my faith to depend on Your promises
Since You cover me from guiltiness’ curses
Making me assured with Your warm fellowship-embraces.

Thank You for Your words that do good to me midst scarcity…
For my mind to believe in Your supplying authority
Since You pull me from doubts’ infirmity
Making me contented as I suffice myself with Your abundant bounty.

Thank You for Your words that do good to me midst struggles…
For my spirit to abide in Your principles
Since You deliver me from worldliness’ tangles
Making me triumphant with heavenly gladness-sizzles.

Thank You for Your words that do good to me midst selfishness…
For my pride to surrender to Your graciousness
Since You rescue me from haughtiness’ perilousness
Making me humble as I worship You with sincerity-gratefulness.

Thank You for Your words that do good to me midst spoilage…
For my service to prosper by Your wisdom-vantage
Since You hinder me from slothfulness’ bondage
Making me productive with fruitful stewardship-courage.

You Taught Me How

You Taught Me How

Oh, Lord, my God, I come with adoration
To sing thy praise and ever share thy love
For in Thy hands, my soul saw sweet remission.
I bow to thee before the hosts above.

I once was weak, and needed admonition
You came with love, forgiving all my sin.
Then, I found strength to follow thee…to harken.
Safe in thy truths, my new life did begin.

Now, I am free to hold my head uprightly.
For with my heart, I seek thy teachings dear.
I’m not alone; my path is lit up brightly.
With every step, I feel thy spirit near.

I promise, Lord, to always strive to please thee.
Steadfastly seeking thy eternal light.
I’ll grasp your hand when Satan comes to tease me.
And choose the right with every ounce of might.

Oh, Lord, my God I am so glad you love me.
You saw some faith and gently nudged me in.
Thy power is great enough to make my soul see.
And call me home despite where I have been.

You led with love showing thy endless greatness.
And brought me home to find eternal peace
I thank thee God for humility and meekness
You taught me how to win against sin’s fleece.

….You taught me how to win against sin’s fleece.
