You will find me fearless
I am master of my own strength
Shout out the word ; c o u r a g e
Always hardworking, not strenuous
a beacon of hope
Fearless heart, attitude bold
The vision of exploring
daring to move mountains
I
promise
you
Violent storms may attack
and untested strength may fail
Put the lessons on your soul
ignore the brake
Certain things capture my attention
The steadfast Edelweiss
drenched in dew
Breath of almighty
I
promise
you

The heavy fog slowly lifts in places
Open patches of spring delight and resounds
The look-out crow caws, joyous news abounds
As rooster's crows lands in hollow spaces
The rising sun warms pale skin with graces
Awareness of a stillness settles around
Coo of the dove seems to calm and propounds
Thoughts surface above the calm, one races
Wildlife has no idea of what's ahead
They know not that storms could come and flood nests
Dens, wreck havoc, seal their fate, end life's joy
Humans bounce singing there's nothing to dread
Weak, untested in the fire, growths arrest
One incident will probably destroy

Italian Sonnet
In youth I looked at life through my front window
Everything was new and unexplored
Expectations flowed like rushing water
Nothing that I viewed could be ignored
Paths untested prompted me to venture
Inhale the fragrance of discovery
Taste the nectar of a love awakened
Embracing life wherever it took me
Today I look at life through my rear window
And savor the experiences I've had
Reflecting once again upon my journey
Accepting what life gave, the good, the bad
The edges of my world are now more rounded
The colors are a softer, warmer hue
However, I have not a favorite window
Through either one I've much enjoyed the view

Playing With Fire
Afraid for your miscreant soul
While the Devils licking tongues of flame at your heel
With oh so dirty thoughts
Afraid for the flesh
As you are lead to the pits
All the torture there in of your imagination conceives
Be pleased, to afflict on someone else
Swallow your morals
Like a sanctity pill
A Eucharist aspirin swilled down on holy water
Fear the flesh you stalwart middle class
While the upper-class
Enjoy what you cannot
As you wallow in the resistance of sin
And narrow your life to acquiescence
Puerile in such judgements
Of fickle moralities pleasure
Live a life unlived
And all its pleasure turn to guilt and reprieve
Salvation will come
When it ends
Ascend then, the Jacobs Ladder to heaven
Never knowing what it meant
To kiss with abandon
But rather, suckle to demon lips
All those desires in their fetish of flesh
One last look at the skin you left
Untested
Resist my swarthy middle mass citizens
And ply the trade
Of your own oppression
Condemn me, I dare you, to some raging inferno
Where the appeasing of your righteousness
Knows no bounds
In another climactic prayer for torture
I will play with the bonfire
Rather than mess with poor dripping candles
I will stand proud and defiant
And declare that I
Am Human

untested waters
ripple,
strands of light
flash in the beauty
of my mind
---
the past dwelt
in the corner
debilitating
disabling
untethering,
I was thrown
back in time
(bad happens
to the good
and the good
happens to the
bad)
visiting sins
replayed in my
head
reminding me
shaming me,
the circle went
around
but I remembered
the dashes of hope
the splashes of
love
all that I had
shared
all that I had lost
but going
round and round
the strings of
sanity
were unbound,
the white rabbit
called for me
reality was paper
dolls
burning in the pit
I held fast
as the standard
ripped
falling into delusion
I lay in the mire
for a millennium
clarity returned
with a song
the dance of life
flooded my veins
my being
declared whole
---
the clear
untested waters
of my mind ripple
in wonderment,
today has returned
with no fear of joy

This world, never ours alone, but shared with other creatures great and small.
The Earth turns and new dawn comes, and will long after we're gone.
A Sandpiper flitted along the shore and told me so.
We must face a truth that we borrowed these days, you and I,
from benefactors and trustees, unborn and untested, yet will be.
I finally understand now, watching the selfless Caracal's practiced smile..
the tawny red bearded lion basks in the same sunshine.
Touch a heart, lift a soul will you? It's not too late.
For I have faith we are mostly good.
Now listen to the song of nature, be kind..
and don't worry about what never would.

Prose
“Abandon ship and from her flee
Better her than all be lost to sea.”
“First Mate, be rendered silent,” is the captain’s plea
“Dear crew, I beg, depart not, stay along with me.”
But Admiral calls from ships numbered three.
“Leave Elpida alone, and Captain, for drowning.”
Then company vanished, quick as a wink.
Left small, untested sailboat to sink.
Night reached down on vast ocean’s face,
And soon sea’s swells were by darkness embraced
Light blazed cross the sky, wind roared from the heat.
The blue’s anger and rage against terrified vessel did beat.
More and most fiercely Elpida battled the deep.
Up ‘til the moment Earth sunk in her teeth.
The storm screamed on, endless as the heavens are deep.
And for half a score years, the sun, from Captain's eyes, night did keep.
For two times for every five, did the captain despair
Lost upon foreign soil, abandon by fleet out there.
To stumble upon natives, fate had it be.
An amiable bunch, again the odd number three.
To restore broken vessel labored the four
Sew up the hull, repair ruptured floors.
And for time, two times, and three times more
Toiled this group ’til there was work no more.
And the sun, as, of course, it would be
Broke the horizon and bore new day on the sea.
Set the deserted again to conquer the deep.
No armada to accompany, but lone Captain, no fleet.
And now, even now, sails Elpida Berregin.
Meeting new worlds by way of the sea.
In all her travels she met again her former fleet,
But Captain did not the Admiral re-meet.
For they had become galleys of ghosts;
Galleys to whom the dead were tending.
Offering up a prayer, Captain took his leave,
And having left, returned to journeying.
“Abandon ship and from her flee.”
Perhaps they, but never me.
Elpida Berregin, mighty galleon proved by sea,
A crew member, forever yours, will I be,
And will serve your Captain most faithfully.

Ode
At Once Into Blind Empty Space, At Once Into Her Arms
How can it be
Something so unwittingly described
Can break me
Remake me
Turn me to the sorriest of fates
And still fill my heart
With this happiness of late
How can she wound me so
Yet heal all the injuries I have ever known
With her existence
But alas, not her presence
Which sifts its way so tenuous
So tender through my thoughts
The merest pin prick and point of a feathers touch
Settles such a succinct telegraph of love
Nestled sleeping it was
Always in my heart
She wakes me but shakes me to wishing dreams
To disregard the alarms of early birds
And curl forever in the warmth of sleep
Where I lay always next to her
How do I survive without her
When everything I am
When everything I am is wrapped and entwined to her
Though I live and breathe
The indrawn falls upon my empty
And every expression, which defines me
Troubled and at peace inside me
Soars on every possibility of her
How can I fly so high
But still be dashed and dragged to these rocks
How do I fall so shattered
And yet still be constantly reborn
Struggling through a morass of unrequited kisses
Yet gliding free on the ripples she sends
With those same unfelt and untested lips
Parted so, yet her spirit prevails
I feel the wish of her lashes softly closing her eyes
The sliding soft comfort of her embrace
As she takes and holds my empty hand
And all the caution in the world
All the alarm of early morning birds
Cannot halt my rushing head long
At once into blind empty space, at once into her arms
How did I have a heart
Without you
What life was there
Where soul
My love
Who was I
Without you
And though I live and breathe
I expel each breath on the empty
But every expression which defines me
Is bursting with firework delivery
Colours in the night so laughing
With the unknown embrace of how you love me
And how I so desperately love you in return
( My friends
The soft and compliant daggers of love
I know you know so well
Sharp cuttings of tears
And the ever expectant solace of their smiles )

Last Night
Last night I lost another poem, dreaming carelessly.
A metaphor that spoke of lore, dissolved in mystery.
New beginnings for a wandering thru forgotten, lifeless dreams,
Where trails are made of memories and passion flows in streams.
Verbs and nouns in satin gowns, their beauty gone with morning light.
My pen is silent and untested, my paper, still plain and white.
Last night I lost a piece of me, staring aimlessly,
Looking into darkness, and seeing what will be.

Tender
emerald realm ...
lungs of the earth
to span a continent, wide -
jade labyrinth of wonder and mystery.
Like a serpent, its watery namesake winds and slithers,
the strength of its back, untested,
colors and creatures of limitless kind and contingency,
peoples yet untouched by civilization,
and drowned in an ocean of foliage ...
its bounding abyss barely plumbed,
extraordinary species, as uncounted as counted,
and a tangle so snarled ...
that it hisses only at the grand Atlantic,
its mighty meandering coaxed to current and tide.
Beast of brute and beauty,
begotten of the Andes and the heavens, high -
a world begs your precious breath
and bold, boundless breadth ...
dangerous and delicate,
wondrous and wild,
untamed ...
tender.

youth, where imperfections trip upon each other
and opportunistic peers joyfully celebrate the folly
- glass tree houses be damned...
and - a spun bottle breaks blood brotherhoods
where fragile crevices expose truths and
welcome untested kinships to fill the void.
the leftover baggage - will it be burden or buoyant?
like Scrooge's chains, worked upon - idyllic dreams
dragged into reality.
we're told to pull ourselves together -
while drowning in emotional incontinence
like this stumbling poem, trying to balance
reason ... and sanity
then - tossed to time's tumult,
life's bitter tempering, yet -
gold in our veins
a vessel that can hold
all that is ladled in...

When, in the night, your strength slowly wanes
your future a dark unknown even left to breathe
as you grapple demons inflicted ghostly pains
and stare into swirling abyss not of your weave
Alas! The end no sight seen upon which to cleave
Here I am, the pillar of my body still stands there
to surround the air while your fight continues on
in my arms solid cradle, rest against swollen glare
and when the morning comes in the pink of dawn
I will lift you up even through my shredded song
For you are my angel given me my humbled life
on that spoken day of youth, you as my sighing bride
I’ve held your hand though all the love and lowly strife
Crossed each bridge over waters raged or blue aside
Now, in this untested darkness, tear down my pride
What you need and desire freely, I will try to give
if the journeys given test is for months or years
be no matter, each day a gift to completely live
though I pray, beckon you to clearly fought cheers
while I hold you tonight adrift in this hells sphere

Our peaceful place is a serene stillness,
Freed of a firm grasp of the familiar isthmus.
No steered ambit, no behests to satiate,
No truncated quest, or toils for tribal vitiate.
Sepia slate chutzpah, the soul's shining spark,
Diaphanous slivers and mullions pinpoint its stark.
Life lingers as leaping strides send quads convulsions,
A ceaseless cascade, a haunting mix of red, casts visions.
In the serene sanctuary, spirits shall plane,
Freed from the fetters of borrowed strain.
A stream surges, unscathed by dim schemes,
Radiating tinsel, reflecting radiant gleams.
Bathed in moonbeams, velvet drapes create a pearly gleam,
Amid enticing melody, toads hatched a fantastic dream.
This tale, a paper-thin silken gown of a gliding string,
A seed root segment fixed to the probe, splendidly cling.
Like leaves rowdy from autumn's fickle breath,
We shed imposed beliefs, escape false death.
Roots reach deep where truth alone can mend,
Untouched by fears that others' wills may send.
No nagging neuroses of self-control and vanity,
Gleefully fair breathing, obnoxious bully of inanity.
Liberated from loads, major culprits in building tension,
Unbridled, freed seaworthiness of untested dissension.
A quiet loot, winning gentleness upon a serene face,
Liberty lolls, luster trails hemmed in balsam firs and grace.
No view marred, no stance clutched, just paideia and piety,
Simply splendid, no spiders in their webs or anxiety.

In the gentleness of this breeze
I sense hope and grateness
True affection and emotion
Like the world is forever mine
Looking into your eyes
The siren of your beauty tells
All queens are graciously made
Honey you are graciously and beautifully made in the garden of all queens
At first the emotions seems asleep
Today it's been awakened
I have come not to leave but to stay
You are the rainbow I've been drawing since birth
Mummy and friends said I am mean
Honey you studied me and convinced them
By putting your untested saliva on my mouth
Redesign me and put thousand smile on my frown face
You are the jewel that brought out the real me in me
Never cease to present your golden presence
Watching you speak with many smiles on your face
Is my soul ecstasy and fantasy
An angel escaped from heaven
Angel without wings and with countless power
You are the roses of three light glittery tree in my poetic garden
No doubt saying you are my menera muse.

A friend advised "Cheer up, buddy, and don't be blue",
strange of him to say that just when I was feeling low.
I was thinking, what was so colorful about being sad,
only showed his English vocabulary was awfully bad.
"Don't vote for Obama, he is untested and green",
how come, I wondered, when he clearly got black skin.
It can't be that he descended from leaves or something,
darn it, I'm linguistically challenged and confused again.
Down with a flu virus I was told to take plenty of orange,
that crazy doctor must really be kinda stupid or dense.
He couldn't have meant dyeing my few remaining hair,
unless that weirdo was moonlighting as a hairdresser.
Once, running scared from a fight, I was called yellow,
I did not get it, maybe because I'm a Chinese mestizo?
At home my amazon wife who learned about the run-in
promptly served for dinner a whole piece of chicken.
"Why chicken," I asked, "when you know I'm a vegetarian?"
"You earned it, sissy, when away from that fight you ran!"
"You're deep," I said, "I don't get what you mean, honey,"
to which she replied "Just finish your dinner, turkey!"
Hm, different colors, then chicken followed by a turkey,
I'd never understand these things until my dying day.
Damn that English language putting me in this mess,
better shift to Arabic, Tagalog, French or Cantonese.
