Waiting

Wake me in the spring,
When winter has moved along;
A touch of your warm hand,
And I will break out in song.

My sleep will unknot my brow,
And soothe my tired heart;
I will dream of your soft beauty,
And that we never came to part.

But if the world should find me
Still asleep under summer’s sky,
Then know no kiss can wake me,
For I have lain down to die.

f o r g i v e n e s s
is the window
to unknot the twigs of tainted trees,
where cuffed anklets
around the star-struck skin of
seraphic silhouettes
feel the suppressed sighs
of the ice-moon,
while
cocooned in a nest
of clamorous clouds,
blanketing rivers of love
flowing within
the esoteric orb,
like the raining snowdrops,
designing a bed of purity and humility,
to rinse the remnants of
stinging sorrow,
pricking thin feathers of phoenix wings
in compassionate clemency,
sealed in envelopes
carrying inked veins of a
weeping violin...
and as the city lights
adorn the panoramic view
of this bleeding boulevard,
I search for a verb
that hides between verses,
woven from heartbeats
of you and I
from pools of poems
poignantly painted
within closed pores
of persimmon pages,
locked with glimpses and polaroids
of
unscripted
t o m o r r o w
that only the soul of swirling
comets
can decipher~
for this is a tale
of peacock butterflies,
mirroring blue-ringed topaz,
like hibernating eyes
that seek not
ephemeral effervescence
jinxed by the touch of
two-faced artists,
performing hypocrisy
in perfect tenor,
like alchemists
dressed
in neon fairy lights.

So take these words
as memoirs of m e r c y
this soul is the soil~
where chamomiles bloom
in the glass garden
of forget-me-nots,
as my mind is
a beloved heritage,
awaiting drizzling rays
condensed with contentment;
a tempest
sedated and subdued
in
ultraviolet grace…

In life

Need there’s to smile nor cry in life,
What will, will by and by in life.

Bank to bank lifeboats ply in life,
Still, the same boats must die in life.

One must swim, cannot fly in life
Whilst sorrows do defy in life.

Think, what to sow, not sigh in life
If rainy gets the sky in life.

To unknot tangled tie in life,
Nigh silent should one try in life.

I Thank You a Thousand Times

I thank u a thousand
times......
For breaking up!
Because I'm too simple for
this complicated world...
A fool unable to unknot the
web of relations...
A born-optimist always
hoping for fruitful yields...
An insane who sees value in
everything...

But U...opened my eyes...
Your untimely departure
gave me lessons of a life-
time..
Had U not taken the extreme
step,I would have still been
under that meaningness
relationship...
Caught helplessly in the net
of nothingness...
Hence,I thank U a thousand
times....!

Door of Solitude

The Door of Solitude

It was the door I remember most it had been
optimistic green once but now dripped of rots
only tears can produce. Like walking into a portal
you know if the door opens you pace into
dejection and be enveloped by the dismay of
people who hated one another but cut not
unknot a union bound by threads of misery.

The yard was full of car parts that never would
be assembled and batteries oozing sadness
no jump lead would bring back to life.
The door didn’t open a bit of relief, like when
a stalled car on a dark road suddenly starts.
I did see a flutter on a dirty curtain but knew
it was too late to help my brother back to sanity.

Foreplay Spree

In joy I unknot the slip
As it slides down
The silk softness in her frowned
Anticipation!

Crumbling to lewd gestures
I falter in lust
To unbecoming finesse
Within coaxed passion;

Plunged and enticed with the thrills
In liquid unction
Yields, bow beaten with acquiesce
Delighted ecstasy;

Let me burn with moist desire
To her fluid pleasure
griping her in my embrace
As she yearns and cries;

Short exulting raptures
With distinct moves
Light kisses in provoked trust
Of extreme pleasure;

Between the new sensations
She tricks my tongue tip
And triggers fancy love moans
To each seduction;

As temptations caress her
again and again
I covet to enchant her
With music notes;

Though she quakes and trembles
As the tip flutters
Her to the urgent sharp thrills
Of obsessed music;

Moves herself to my whim
In her subdued reaction
Attack quivers the sinews
Between wet moves;

Racy mouth as the tongue plays
With the neck moves
To breech both hardening mould
And tortured nipples;

Floats down to her love goal
In swift foreplay
Digs love licks between parted legs
With a swift vengeance;

Soft cavity and her lips
Torments me to quake
 As frolics play in circles
 Pushed to extremes;

I just take you in solace
Without the malaise.

Love On Death Line

I have not eaten today,
But my heart is filled
Not hungry of affection.
I had a fill of you last night
A fill of you for a life time

All around us are walking corpses
Corpses of political disregard
Humans of no nations
Even when they are bona-fide citizens
Your blood and mine flows in them

The government abhors the poor
Feeds them with empty promises
Shoves them through the door
They pay the bills
For social amenities they can’t find
Pay taxes for their castles
Government built in the air
But we know their ancestors
Filthy dogs eating from the king’s crumbs
No; Lets not unknot the knot
Soon a messiah might heed us

In heaven’s book of life,
I heard the poor names are there
In here’s book of life
It is deleted.
Thus, in your head,
Lays your kingdom and glory
Get rich or die trying
Or; be their poor and keep sulking.

Well, like them I saw…
I have not eaten
Flesh gone weak to skeleton
Nevertheless,
The solitude of love within
Keeps me living; I am breathing
But I am moving,
Towards your direction
I see your beam

I feel new
When I see you
From my heart
Seeps through the rays of the sun
Its fun; this love on death line
We survived the genocide
We survived the war
We survived love
We survived us
I love you too.

This poem is dedicated to the abused tribes of Rwanda and Nigeria during their respective civil wars resulting in near human annihilation. Though time has passed, we still feel your pains chilling our bones. The survivors.

Stitched

would you guide me?
be my golden thread, lead me through the labyrinth of my own mind,
help me travel through the deadly twists and turns,
would you protect me from the beasts inside?
i am empty, a shell, an apparition
a ghost
i lurk in the corners; invisible, transparent
you’ll never see me
but it’s ok,
i am used to pain and terror,
used to being used,
comfortable with being uncomfortable,
ok with not being ok,
but maybe you could fix me?
even if it’s temporary,
give me a band aid and a butterfly kiss,
just to hide the wound, to make it pretty
cover it up, conceal it
conceal, conceal, conceal
never show them anything, honey
hide your feelings, honey, hide every last one
the depression, the angst, the sorrow,
dig a hole in the sand box,
use the plastic shovels and cover them all up,
bury them down, deep, deep, deep
but could i give you some of my demons?
could i transfer a few to you?
could i give you a little piece of me,
a souvenir, a little keychain
thanks for visiting the desolate, foreign lands of my thoughts,
hope you had a nice stay
could you clip it to your backpack?
look at it sometimes and think of your trip
think of me,
remember me, maybe
even if it’s only for a second
baby could you think of me?
because with you, the words come easy,
with them, they stick in my throat
a ball and chain around my tongue,
forcing it down my throat
‘shut up, honey’ the shackles hiss
‘shut your ugly mouth’
i listen
i swallow them down
i won’t throw those words up in front of them
i’ll purge them tonight
when i’m alone in my room, lights off, pen in hand
i’ll throw them all up, every dirty confession
spit them up in the bathtub,
wash them down the drain
i’m a mess, honey
a tangled spool of thread
unknot me, baby
pull apart every loop, smooth me out
take me and sew something pretty
something sentimental, something meaningful
oh god, i’d love to be something meaningful
a movie ticket stub from a first date,
a lock of baby hair,
a letter to a first love,
take me, all my tangled mess
and create something amazing
we could be beautifully stitched together, baby

Tied Up In Nots

I know not what knot will not unknot,
I know not why that knot won’t loose.
So if you know what knot won’t unknot,
Show me how to tie my shoes.

Father's Friday Feeling

Competent parents cherish their children;
This Friday feeling - free for family again.

All week, we're the authority, we're the grownups.
Adulthood ain’t easy with parent/child hiccups.

Weekend’s coming up, family time to unknot;
Time to play catch up and we get more than one shot.

This Friday feeling? works ev’ry day of the week;
and it has its perks - our kids listen when we speak.

A Lost African Child

A LOST AFRICAN CHILD

You lost African child,
Who will find you in the wood?
What is your name and whose
Name are you bearing, your mother's or father's?
Do you know where your home town is?
Do you know that your sister was sold into
Marriage which is against our tradition?
Do you know the dance of your home town?
After the contaminated hand shake, you were
Lost in stupid to the foreign land.
The Bible had made you left the village to the street,
The book which you where unknown how it was written but you came and pick it up like a fool.
You were taught how to carry the gun instead
Of you tending the shrine that your father left in tears.
You lost African child! Can you dance Atilogwu?
You now look at us as if we are speaking in a stranger tongue because you can't speak your mother's tongue.
When shall you return to tend the farmland?
When shall you unknot the tie on your neck and wear of goat's skin and dance bare footed in the village?
Has civilization taken toll on you?
Have you forgotten your root, cultural heritage?
Come home lost African child, visit and see those tall tress still waiting at your arriver in tears.

Premium Member Allow Me the Time

Allow me the time …
To stand and stare,
To ponder on the how and where,
To lose myself in thoughtfulness,
To unknot my mind’s tangled mess,
To consider and to meditate,
To transform into a Zen like state,
To notice reflections and reflect,
To self-diagnose and introspect,
To absorb all of nature’s treasure,
And to enjoy this age old pleasure,
Allowing my heart to beat more slowly,
Not thinking all creatures are below me,
To quietly try to comprehend,
The meaning of life and to what end,
To allow my soul to come into view,
To allow my spirit to mend, renew.

Sailing Towards Romblon

Eagerly we wait,-
As early as the sun mount,-
At the harbor’s plank.

After a short while…

We heard the Ferry’s hail
And shouted us, to come up!-
With our kits and bags!

While on the ship…

I look down and wave.
Then some men unknot the rope;
Ready now to cruise.

I and my buddies-
Walk around and watch the sea,
Here at the yacht’s ridge.

You know what?...

Midway of the sea,
Dolphins jumping, one by one,-
Then hurriedly plunged.

I exclaimed and said:
“Oh! What a wonderful sight!
What a wonderful God!

His creations declare-
The brilliance of His wisdom
And his love to man.”

The night falls…

The moon appears and-
Its light creates a crystal-
Sea in the calm night.

But suddenly…

Waves beneath, disturb
And cause me headache, as we’re-
Approaching Romblon.

Feeling as if the-
Ship is sinking, I quietly-
Prayed, I really begged.

Then I asked myself:
“How everything come to pass?
Does He always will?”

But at last!…

The dawn sets again.
And seems to utter its over;
Sunbeams gladly glare.

I saw friends rushing,
Getting their bags, moving down
From the Ferry’s lodge.
And then…

At the harbor’s coast,-
A man approached us, saying;
“Welcome to Romblon!”

Unknot

Carry the burdens
Too long
Not knowing when
To give up

Especially there is nothing
Worth keeping
No reason to fight for it

Showering me
Nothing but pain
Embedded in me
Driving my anger so wild

But they are already gone
Probably shifted to another place

Why I am still holding onto them
That was the question
Circulating in my mind

Sleepless nights
Voices talking to me
Disturbing images

No longer feeling
Just there
But not here

The turning point
Wanting to change
As my heart and eyes
Being exposed
With God's Holy Light

Realising
The illusions
Feeding with trauma and violence
Too much
Been in that field
Way too long

Releasing heavy tears
Closing my eyes
Throwing away
Out of my way

Light in my heart
Airy steps
Soul revives

Scars
The aftermath
From trials and obstacles

Bruises
Now may still hurts
But knowing these will heal

Going to sleep
Simple smile
Opening new day for me
Closer to happiness

Knots Knotted In Mind

All life I wandered,
In search of vague meandered,
But when I pondered,
Said my long subdued heart’s voice:
Unknot all knots, mute all noise.
