Father's Friday Feeling

Competent parents cherish their children; This Friday feeling - free for family again. All week, we're the authority, we're the grownups. Adulthood ain’t easy with parent/child hiccups. Weekend’s coming up, family time to unknot; Time to play catch up and we get more than one shot. Love this one RAP, I remember those Friday evenings many years ago, have been retired now for years but as soon as Friday came it felt like something had lifted and we were free, horay for the weekends, great poem my friend, take care.......Vera

thank you, Silent. I took a bit of a twist and wrote it from my husband's POV. He is the same way with his grandkids whom we babysit quite often. Apppreciate the placement, I did enjoy the write.

Thanks, Tom. Written from a wife’s praise for her hubby. She spends M-F (12/13 hrs. a day) with the kids by herself. They need a daddy’s input evenings and on weekends. Likely not your normal response to such a prompt.
