Best Unequal Poems

Premium Member Unequal You, Unequal Me

Imagine if you will,
a world of books where all the words
lead to the same place
no matter the beginning (no matter the middle)

A world where trees are never planted, never grow,
but always retain the same shape,
same number of branches, never varying

(not even a little)

Some don't have to imagine,
some want to make it true
Some want to mold us
into identical shapes and hues

(even if it's me,
even if it's you)

Some don't like the chaos that entails
in a society that is free,
but instead would prefer
micromanagement from above...

...to put it frankly, love,
they wanna flatten the sea
They don't like the mess that is You
The mess that is Me

They want to make an equal society...
...but how drab would that be?

To see a mirror-still pond
instead of a crashing sea.
To see a sky full of clouds,
all perfectly round
with none too small and none too big

They want to make things all the same
so let's involve the government!
Make every child a giant,
and every giant a child
Let politicians and bureaucrats
hold the measuring stick
(Family and Friends? Churches and Charity?
How ludicrous!)

They are the ones
with exclusive rights to the reins
You are just the pieces
of their sadistic game

...but they come dressed as an angel of light
with words so sweet it would make you cry

We want to make an equal society

Ha! I wonder why!

So as to challenge the pigs
of Orwell's Animal Farm?
"Some animals
don't deserve to be as equal as I."

We just want to make things fair,
a little here and a little there
Don't be so close-minded,
just give it a try!

But not everyone low
wants to be raised high
Not all who strive for height
wants to be chopped down

We are humans
We like to conquer mountains
by the sweat of our brow,
by the glint of our eyes...
...come whatever may,
we are persistent!
We are humans
We like the free ride,
to claim the spoils without ever needing to try
To be showered with everything
we could ever need
like manna from the sky
We are humans...

(no one ever said we were consistent)

Mr President

Mr. President
This world is full of hatred, people take their life for granted.
Kids going to school to learn but end up dead beside their books.
Mr. President it's not my fault that my friends grew up in the hood, but that don't give the cops the right to shoot'em 'cuz they could. A bullets not the answer, discrimination rips us apart. It's better to see eye to eye than to poison each others hearts. Mr. President, a family sticks together but you're tearing them apart. These little kids are crying breaking they mamas hearts. As a nation we stand together all for one, and one for all. But do we stand together or are we just watching each other fall?
                   Mr. President

The spires take a patchwork of blonds,
The pavements, a not-so-shiny copper,
To the harbour go a few drops of bronze,
Even clouds get but a listless amber,

Though when long day is growing old,
The sun, parting, never forgets to rain
On you, on no other, a splurge of gold.

Unequal

This world of inequality
Mainly in times of torment
Finding fortune which is not lost
As world turns you at U-turn
Ready to move at your speed
Ready to stop at your death

In this world of inequality
The golden son with silver spoon
While guttering son in Stone spoon

In this world of inequality
Women hungers for power
While men has it without stress

In this world of inequality
Where those with disability
Offend non in sins or crimes
While those with ability
Offer no sacrifice

In this world of inequality
Those who work as Carmel
Eating as mouse
Those who work as ant
Eating in walks of Lion

In this world of inequality
Where death kill not of the wicked
Taking those of good act

In this world of inequality
Where its human color are unequal
Take a look up high to see it shape
Unequal it is

What's happening to the world?
Footballers are getting paid thousands a week. While the poor are starving, so sick and
weak.

Politicains corrupt and wrong. Spending hundreds on business lunches. Enough to feed ten
people.

What happening to the world?

Countries fighting countries
brothers killing brothers
mothers killing their children
lovers chaeting on lovers.

What's happening to the world?

Aids, rape, murder and drugs. Thugs, racism the list goes on.

I keep asking myself what's happening to the world.

Unequal Partners

Why do you hold back?
Why can’t you go all the way?
“I love you” those are the words
That I want to hear you say

Don’t be half hearted
I need you one hundred percent
I don’t want you to be unsure
I want you to be content

You have to be sure
Content as I am in my choice
But you are not are you?
I can hear it in your voice

You don’t feel the same as I
I don’t make your pulse race
Or your heart skip a beat
I’m right; I can see it on your face

Love isn’t a one-way street
It has to flow both ways
But it isn’t flowing to me
Not even on the best of days

Then it’s over and done
I won’t have half measures
It has to be all or nothing
Not just the pleasures

I need to be “the one”
I won’t be your second best
I won’t invest my love
With no prospect of interest

It’s sad when love ends
And a couple have to part
But I only feel regret
That I never reached your heart

Unequal Yoke Not On the Same Page

JUST TO INCOMPATIBLE
NOT ON THE SAME PAGE
VIEWS ARE MUCH DIFFERENT
VALUES AREN'T THE SAME
NOT EQUAL AS CAN BE
THE SUNRISES TO LIGHT
FROM THE DARK SKIES AT NIGHT
ALMIGHTY TO GOD, WITH CONTINUE IN PRAYERS
THE VALLEYS ARE STEEP, THE TIMES SPENT
WEAKENED AS STRENGTHEN ABROAD
PRAYERS EACH MOMENT THROUGH IT ALL
GRACE AND MERCY GIVEN AGAIN
AS THE JOURNEY NOTES IS WRITTEN, A PAGE DISMISSED
A SCENE REALITY IS DISPLAYED
THE VIEW SEEMS REAL
THE HIDDEN DISCOVERY SUBMISSION
IF CAN DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN
A TIME TO THINK, A TIME TO REALIZE
NOT ALL BRIGHT LIGHTS LEAD TO SUNSHINE
DESTINY TAKEN PLACE
AS THE TIME GOES BY
A STAR SHINING BRIGHT
A TRUE GENUINE LOVE IS FOREVER
A NEW LIFE, PROSPEROUS, BLESSED JOURNEY DISCOVERED.

NOTE:

There are many differences when others are not compatible.
Not in most ways equal. Being on the same page, support, love, and lifting each other up is as very most important in growing, grow together in unity. With GOD. Love, encouraging, understanding, COMMUNICATION, LISTEN. Two people in unity as one. Healthier, and much better results manifest.

Equal But Unequal

listen dear!
We have a lot in common :
the same sky, the same sea,
the same way forward
and the same sad eyes...
We are similar, but not the same....
We have wishes and dreams,
you have desires and aspirations,
we are human, intelligent,
educated, sophisticated
spiritualized but selfish,
stoic but relaxed,
 attractive, without complexes...
we have all that we need
for happiness...
Only one thing sets us apart:
I love you, but you don't love me....
We have everything you need
for a life together...
Minus love...!
This is uneven!

Unequal Fire

Not all minds burn with equal flame,
Some flicker gently, some boldly claim
The heights of thought, few dare climb
Where intellect dances beyond time.

IQ may measure, but cannot define
The soul’s deep hunger for the sign,
For far-sighted eyes that pierce the veil,
And trace the truth where others fail.

Some walk the path with books in hand,
Researching stars, or grains of sand.
While others rest in borrowed light,
Afraid to ask if wrong is right.

To accept the truth, what sacred art!
It asks not brilliance, but the heart.
Yet still, the minds diverge and part,
Some seek the whole, some just a part.

So let's dare honor each unique flame,
Though not all burn with equal name.
For wisdom’s fire, both fierce and mild,
May yet awaken the sleeping child.
