I understood that you were lost
on that day that our paths crossed
The clock tick tocked I knew not why
I wanted to talk but the time flew by
Cloaked in invisibility I was your ghost
A unknown guest you were my host
I felt your heart beat in time and space
A growing desire behind a lovely face
A soulful apparition powers to few
I could not reveal the truth to you
Illusion like fog will eventually grow thin
Perhaps you will know the beauty within
One day the right person will take your hand
But the warrior within is yours to command
Everything unfolds this life’s yours to steer
If you want to find strength look in the mirror
Being a passing spirit I can’t offer you much
I’m bound by limitations we can never touch
So when you fall asleep and heavy eyes close
Feel confidence rise from your head to your toes
Those who were not there might never see
the woman within that has the power to be
Strong triumphant beautiful and great
a miracle a teacher a master of her own fate!

Listen, Heathcliff, don't get me wrong,
but hanging with you isn't good.
You're a dragon, and I'm a mouse,
last night you said you understood.
That weird look in your eye says that
you want more than a cup of tea.
Now don't go getting teary-eyed,
yesterday, you almost drowned me!
I know you say you gave up meat,
but honestly, I can't trust you.
And whether hungry or horny,
your hanging around me won't do.
You must've seen me hold my nose,
so add it up, man, do the math.
Just because you hate the water
doesn't mean you can't take a bath.
Heathcliff, it's been a trip, my man,
but it is time for you to go.
And if you come back tomorrow,
don't be surprised if I don't show.

Is God’s viewpoint misunderstood?
Sodom burned in His discontent
for conduct our courts give assent.
Though some fault rests with Hollywood,
most immoral misbehavior,
living proof, man needs a Savior.
Like Mother Eve, man has withstood
conformance to a righteous way
choosing to yield as Satan's prey.
The Creator of all things good
shaped gender with no compunction,
procreation, its core function.
Our God knew as only He could
the all-pervasive attraction
of sexual interaction.
For sure He saw sin’s likelihood,
prostitution and abortion,
and all kinds of sex-distortion.
By sheer grace, God forgives deadwood.
Jesus died; He’s our Salvation,
redemption from hell’s damnation.
Is God's viewpoint misunderstood?
Though some fault rests with Hollywood,
Like Mother Eve, man has withstood
the Creator of all things good.
Our God knew as only He could,
for sure He saw sin’s likelihood.
By sheer grace, God forgives deadwood.

There is a longing to be understood
Deep in the soul, like seeds of a flower
Waiting to be seen, wanting if it could
In pain or celebration, where it stood
Whether happy or in a tearful shower
There is a longing to be understood
Words waiting to be heard, places they would
Change experience that has held power
Waiting to be seen, wanting if it could
Through blue days, gray days and storms whirling should
Through volume and quietness in the hour
There is a longing to be understood
Through ever soft love or hate hard as wood
Through energy, tiredness, fear that cowers
Waiting to be seen, wanting if it could
To be loved, to be held, safety that is good
To sit on a curb or tops of towers
There is a longing to be understood
Waiting to be seen, wanting if it could

Forget the world and listen to your heart.
No one really cares whether close or apart.
Only you only you can change yourself,
Be the golden novel chosen from old book shelf.
The indiviual created by providence is only you,
Show this to all not in a sense even one could have a clue.
Just ponder over your capabilities,
Strive on your failures taking them as your casualties.
Work till as it gonna lasts forever,
live as today only was the last rain of life shower.
Keep friends close bt enemies closer,
Fight with friends but have sympathy for rival growers.
The day u reach at the top,
Just come back with a next better hope.
Night when you will fall down,
Wake up; smile with the mother earth brown.
Don't teach anyone a way to live life ,
No one actually needs your guide.
Life is as easy as you think,
Have the patience with which you can stand still.
To live in ,heart is the best room,
Dont wait for a bride or a groom.
My heart listens and comprehends me very well,
Then why didn't i try to leave this world of hell.

I hesitated
Sorry I brought up the subject
I choke up
But he insisted
So I blurted it out
In the end I bared it all
He listened
He said he understood
And sympathized
I didn’t buy it but
It felt good to tell him
The weight off my shoulders

When you try and speak there are things you cannot say
It is as if the strongest winds carry your words away
Yet still, your eyes captivate inside of mine
Even without words, I can read the unspoken sign
Your silent thoughts flow through my intellect inevitably
And your hushed phrases are still spoken quite eloquently
For days it seems, we've stood face to face
Breathing the same air, taking up the same space
But every time I reach out to touch that face, you try to disappear
Pulling back with every inch as you begin to hide in fear
These minutes have grown slower and at a drastic rate
It is starting to seem as if your mind is beginning to dissipate
It's harmless for you to converse with me, through grand and grave
Take those first steps and initiate with me, be brave
Just hold on to my hands and you will feel it, too
I will show you how to be colorful, instead of black and blue.

NEITHER UNDERSTOOD, NOR EXPLAINED
I was believed the mightiest of all,
The thing known was only my countrymen soul.
I worked upon day and night in silence,
For my nation I had the path lf violence.
I commanded work with me, don't stop till you achieve,
There is only one priority from day to eve.
I spoke whatever I felt was right,
As my countrymen welfare was my sight.
Once, a winter night in days of battle,
I went out silently to see was everything settle.
Fog and mist was all around,
It was calm but then I heard a certain sound.
When I noticed the topic of voice was me,
So to listen, I got hidden behind the tree.
I was excited to know their views,
Being a king I still felt on head water dews.
In a moment my heart got jerk,
They spoke something which won't work.
I loved my countrymen by heart,
The had uttered something which hurt.
"He thinks him to be supreme,
Always thinks to command upon team".
Other said-"His pride is more above,
Nor countrymen has got his love".
For the first time I had such opinion,
I never thought from this vision.
Was I really of this way,
Should I go away or think here to stay?
Back to palace, I very well knew,
Tomorrow was the last battle of queue.
The watch striked midnight,
Somewhere in my heart dilemma was at its height.
Now I was at battle hours,
With my army I kept raising country towers.
We all fought with our full strength ,
Finally my country had all boundry length.
People celebrated the victory,
All together said I had created history.
I could hear appreciation everywhere,
But I knew many still blamed anywhere.
Within me, I knew I was correct,
Though many didn't knew this fact.
And I like constant never thought of loss and gain,
That why they neither understood ,I nor explained.

The ole diner offers twelve course
conversations salted with unspoken jargon:
one patron withholds the dialect of fed-
up-of-my-job while his buddy barely
nods, too worn-to-the-bone;
a wife texts her friend, i-found-
a-lump-in-my-breast
while her husband swallows , ah-hell-
she’s-having-an-affair.
Hear the internalized vernacular
of hooked-on-painkillers,
the lonely phraseology of my-kids-
never-visit, and the private pang of he-didn’t-
use-a-condom. Misery keeps
its six degrees of vagueness, widens
each tiny rift. It would only take
mindfulness, a willingness to stretch,
but these half-hearted translations
make for such unsound bridges —
take table three, a party of two:
he snaps, get with reality,
which means, Honey-just-listen
while she raises one finger
to her lips, signing, please-just-shut-up-
and-kiss-me.

The essence of this world
So un-pure and un-thoughtful
Sweetened by hatred
Soured by death
Meager to keep its unholy value
There is no need to ask why or how come
For it will not tell you the answer you seel
If it does it will show your hidden lies
As action cannot be taken
An weeping has no purpose
The attention of one limited to the smallest detail
Realizing you common regrets
Your lingering desire
Not of lust
But the unknown
Freedom, justice only found in the deepest
Crevice of this world

I never understood
the 'boys in the hood'
Why they ditched school
and thought they were cool
I never understood
their love for switchblades
They were carving up faces
while I made my good grades
I never understood
why they talked so 'affected'
I always felt then
like I was rejected...
They're long ago dead
every last one
While I live out my dreams
and the world carries on

When you're a baby,
you have a whole life to look ahead.
When you're a baby,
you just play all day then go to bed.
When you're that young,
you have no doubts in mind.
For when you're that young,
There is no end of the line.
As a child,
You walk that unsteady rope.
As a child,
You’re filled with dreams and hope.
As we grew older,
Those dreams have flown passed.
As we grew older,
We put those hopes in a cast.
Moulded in the back of our minds,
To be lost.
Moulded in the back of our minds,
To be covered in frost.
But my question is,
Why have w
e let go of our dreams?
My question is,
Why have we let ourselves come undone at the seems?
We used to crawl around,
Looking for adventure.
Now we crawl around,
Looking for a saviour.
Someone to save us,
From who we have become.
Someone to save us,
From falling on our bum.
We used to cry out at night,
Just waiting for a kind hand.
Now we cry out at night,
For someone to understand.
Someone to just understand,
What we are going through.
Some to just understand,
Our point of view.
Now that we’re all grown,
We look back on our childhood.
Now that we’re all grown,
We know everyone just wants to be understood.

Urban Sonnet
Is it so hard to say the things you feel?
Why seal up thoughts in words that beg for truth?
I braced myself to read a languid spiel
and first assayed to read it as a youth.
When that was done, I scoured it like a sleuth
and found these parts, considered most uncouth.
I read: her odd mouth makes his heart so wise.
The line about her ghostly smile is weird;
and note the one regarding her strange eyes.
His conversation tells just what is feared...
he sees her beauty, something to be smeared.
E. wrote love sonnets not to be revered.
Before its birth, this liaison is done;
a Halloweenish picture, poet notes.
If he had read King Solomon for fun,
then Cumming's Song of Songs might well use quotes
from the wise king, "your hair, a flock of goats."
"your teeth, like sheep, newly shorn of their coats."
Presenting notions from which women part,
such "unreality" would break my heart.

Urban Sonnet Poetry Contest by Emile Pinet
my urban sonnet (above) reveals my first reaction to this sonnet (below)
Unrealities. III by E.E. Cummings
it is at moments after i have dreamed
of the rare entertainment of your eyes,
when (being fool to fancy) i have deemed
with your peculiar mouth my heart made wise;
at moments when the glassy darkness holds
the genuine apparition of your smile
(it was through tears always) and silence moulds
such strangeness as was mine a little while;
moments when my once more illustrious arms
are filled with fascination, when my breast
wears the intolerant brightness of your charms:
one pierced moment whiter than the rest
--turning from the tremendous lie of sleep
i watch the roses of the day grow deep.

You are a woman with pried and proven, no need to state it...it can be seen and proven!
You are a woman...vibrant and sassy filled with a radiant glow that can be seen from afar, no need to prove it!
You are a woman...a mother to many not just your own a multiply diverse persona, no need to prove it!
You are a woman…a wife a sister and a daughter as well, a sultry sophisticated woman, no need to prove it!
You are a woman…a cook a doctor and sometimes a lawyer for the guilty even if you she knew you did it, no need to prove it…its been known since the day I first layed my eyes upon you. I myself simply call you my wife and the mother of my children. Understood by me and never needed to be proven!
